Hi we have brought a 4wf crossjet which is not going again fir the third time since we Broughty it a couple of months ago. Carburettor replaced, faulty sensor for clutch now they think faulty clutch. There is an error code on dash 8115 just wondered what thus refers to. 4 weeks lockdown and a brand new broken down crossjet not much fun.

I'm not sure what that code would be for. The only thing I can suggest is try google, somebody else may have had the same, but I guess you have already tried that. Sorry I can't help further............Good luck.

Hello All - I’m trying to find a unit that will work on a sand island In QLD Australia I have a 1 acre block that is a bit sloping but some areas are open sand - then a lot of not thick thistle- I am sure it will handle the Bush - but does anybody have experience with it transversing sand? Also can you Disengage the blades when driving? Cheers Ray
1 answer
Yes the blades can be disengaged when driving and should be able to handle driving on sand being 4wd. I would recommend you get the dealer to bring it out to your place for a trial to see what it can and can't do. Personally I wish I had done this before I bought it because if I had I wouldn't have bought it. Unlike the videos mine does struggle on long grass, is uncomfortable after a period in the seat and knows how to use fuel when working hard. There are other options to consider like the sherpa or the Grillo so take your time and buy wisely.

I have the Masport Goliath with a mulching deck. The blades won't engage when I pull the switch. The pulley is not spinning. Where do I start?

Sorry I have no idea with a Goliath. I have a crossjet. Stupid question have you tried Google?

Having trouble lately with it stalling when engaging the blades. Doesn’t do it all the time but will do it 3 or 4 times in a row. Blade engagement clutch has been changed, new battery but still does it, usually after it’s warmed up say after 10/15 minutes or so.

Try checking your air cleaner, this may sound stupid, but with the extra load on the engine when the blades are engaged if the air cleaner is filthy it could stall.
Thanks Gavin, yeah have checked it with air filter removed and still the same.
Not looked on mine but check that you haven't lost a spring on the govener, if it has one, because if the engine slows relative to the set speed normally the govener prevents a stall

How to change mower v-belt?
2 answers
The v belts have a doing tensioner pulley and needs to be loosened to allow enough slack to replace the belt
As yet I haven't had to change the v-belt on the crossjet........yet, but I wouldn't expect it to be any more difficult than any other ride on mower. To simplify the change take a few photos from different angles and if required refer to the manual.
Sorry I cant be of any more help.
Regards and good luck.

Has anyone had problems with the hydrolic pump? Breaking shafts or pumping faults
2 answers
Hi Jim,
No I have had no problems with the hydraulics, that department seems to work ok although I haven't done many hours yet because of the machines in ability to cope with my grass even on the highest cut........it frustrates me!
Yes Jim. Hydraulics is but one area where this mower fails. I've had the transmission rebuilt twice, the steering once, belts and pullies too many times to mention and the list goes on and one. In case you were wondering my machine has done 441 hours and maintenance and repairs have now cost a little more than half of the original purchase price. The machine is just over four years old. I agree with you on the grass. It can't mow it thick, wet or long without it struggling significantly. Raising the deck helps but I also found that if you tie up the stone guard (doesn't matter if you're out in the middle of the paddock) the grass is less likely to compact on the guard. Also I found mowing in an anti-clockwise direction helps as all the cut grass is ejected to the right hand side of the machine so you're throwing the grass out on to the side that already been mowed. Anything you can do to help take pressure off the machine helps.
