Never trust them, never again
I went to USA last year and while I was there I received a promotional email saying if I reload my card I will get some cashback. I followed their instructions steps by steps 100% right and reloaded my card and supposed to get back $300. Did I ever got the cashback? NO, I did not.
I contacted them multiple times, however no lucks as their excuse was that I did not tabbed/clicked on the correct link. What a bull,,,,.
It is a scam and I would never ever trust them and in General Mastercard. They are just full of........
Bunch of liars whom can’t even honor their words and promises.
Never ever trust them.
I would never recommend them, stay away from them.

Mastercard cash passport
I obtained a mastercard cash passport card back in 2013 and used it for a trip to the States and again a few years later to Japan. What I did not know because I had not read the voluminous contractual points was that if I didn't use the card for 12 months I would incur a monthly fee of A$4. The company never once sent me a notice as to these charges (why would they?) and eventually I found I had been charged A$144 for inactivity! Purchase this card at your own risk. You have been warned.

Holiday nightmare. Will never use it again.
I loaded my funds on the card before my trip in December. Unbeknownst to me the card had been suspended back in May. Apparently they had sent me an email (went to my spam so I did not see it). Despite the card being suspended they still allowed me to deposit all my money there. I could not access any of my money on my card whilst overseas. Numerous phone calls and they were not willing to offer a feasible solution I was completely without funds for over two weeks before I could make other arrangements. They eventually paid back my money after I had returned home.
Absolutely ruined my holiday. Will never use it again.

Disgraceful Customer Service
Funds were loaded accidentally to my cash passport account. They then reversed them for me and now after nearly 5 months cannot get answers on being able to access the money. No answers on where they have reversed the money to. Customer Service give no answers and therefore, money is gone.

How hard is it to find a single competent person to talk to when calling your 1800 helpline?
I have been repeatedly hung up on and lead in circles. Not only have I had to deal with the stress of your affiliate Travelex going down while overseas, I have been repeatedly assured by your call centre staff that a)bpay recharge would almost be instant (it was not) b)hung up on when pointing out Travelex’s website and app were down and could not be used and c)lead around in circles getting transferred to “specialists” who reassured me that they’d ema...Read more
il and BCC me to their “supervisors” about getting a refund for my money when the bpay transaction wait exceeded the promised maximum of two business days. And today, a full 10 hours after I’d left the UK, I got 100 GBP reloaded (thanks a lot!) After five calendar days. This is the definitive WORST customer support I’ve ever seen, and this is coming from someone who has dealt with FastTrak. I would HIGHLY CAUTION everyone I know to stay away from using MasterCard prepaid card services and if there’s not an ACC complaint against you already, I’m going to start one after this.Similar opinion? Not worth the stress caused
Travelled to Cairo in Egypt, on 4 October a private tour booked through The Great Pyramids Inn Hotel processed payment of $100.USD ($156.91) by Eftpos. I had no issues using my card for payment or at ATM ‘s. Unfortunately after arriving home two weeks later I discovered the transaction had been duplicated. I was unaware that Cash Passport was based in the UK and a series of phone calls and emails to customer service became most frustrating dealing with a different person each time. Although I had only 10 days to lodge a dispute form, the Mercha...Read more

Zero stars, non existent customer service
I took up the same $3000 deal, the $3000 did not reload on my card, and i have been chasing them for 3+weeks to get my money back. No one EVER calls back, they just keep saying they will look into it. The call centre is close to the worst customer service group I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend this card, it has a lot of hidden charges, that Im sure appear in the PDS (that no one reads). When it works its ok, but the exchange rates are poor, and if there are any problems, it is almost impossible to get it fixed. Find another option.

would recommend that NO ONE ever use this product
Shortly prior to spending 2 weeks in New Zealand from 1.10.19 we obtained a CashPassport on the recommendation of our bank. We transferred from our bank $5000 AUD when as we recall the exchange rate was $1.08NZ to $1 AUD. Not having receive a statement recording the amount credited to the Cashpassport we can not say the amount of NZD we received. On completion of our travel mid October we did not act immediately to cash in the balance on the card but when we sought to do so on 25/10/19 we were advised that of the balance of $2535.57NZD we woul...Read more
d receive$2167.31AUD. They advised there was a fee -$10AUD and that $1NZD=$0.8548AUD. According to Google the exchange rate at the time was NZD to AUD $0.94. While we accept that fees apply this difference is excessive. As well. we have attempted online to transfer the remainder back into our bank account but there does not seem to be provision for that.We have emailed seeking assistance to complete the transfer and seeking a full statement. Phone contact only achieved 5 plus minutes of repeated recitation of "menus". The card was used in NZ a number of times without difficulty but with fees charged the details of which will hopefully be in the requested full statement. So far customer service is NON EXISTENT. I will now try my bank to see if they can assist to transfer our funds back.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My money transfer of $500 did not reload onto my cash passport card
Do not recommend this card & wish I had read these reviews first, my bank Newcastle Permanent use this card & I took their word for it. I reloaded $500 on 25th October 2022 that never uploaded to my cad passport card & now home trying to sort out but keep getting told they are still investigating & to give them another 48hrs to complete. Never again. I'm guessing I will have to report them to banking ombudsmen.

Dreadful to try to deal with !!
I took up their 'amazing' deal - load $3000NZD equivalent onto the Cash Passport and they will give you back $200 NZD. Dont believe them !! They credited me $120NZD and said I didnt qualify because I had only (according to them) put $2998.98 NZD on the Cash Passport - even though I sent them a copy of my bank statement and the email order they sent me with the USD rate and the fact that it was $3000NZD. Tried to call her back on the number she phoned me from - nobody there just a mailbox. Friggin impossible to deal with and they are happy to lose a customer because they say I didnt load $3000 NZD even though they had a copy of my statement !!!!! Impossible to try to deal with and no idea of customer service. Two weeks later still no response to my emails and still only $120 NZD in my account from them. Do they think people are stupid ??? Initially used cashpassport for a trip to Italy. When I tried to access my card again for a trip a couple of years later (card did not expire for another two years) they could not find my account. I got transferred on the phone from person to person, put on hold and then hung up on. They advised I contact the bank I ordered it through, so I did. Worst service ever!
If I could give this no stars I would. Like everone else here I need to add to the pile of coments about how useless this card is. I purchased this card for traveling around europe as I was told it would have less fees than my standard debit card (my debit card ended up having smaller fees than the cash passport card). Firstly the pin I was given did not work so the only way i could take money off was through paywave. Secondly I lost my card overseas (yes my mistake) however when i tried to close the card and take the money off i couldnt get th...Read more
rough to anyone. Nearly all the calls didnt go through to anyone. After wasting money and time I eventually got through to someone who could close my card but not transfer the money on the card into another account. Was told they would ring back with in 24 hours. Never got a call. I decided to not deal with it til I arrived back home. Once home I rang customer service to find i couldnt access my account any more as the card had been blocked. I asked for it to be unblocked. Hasn't been done. I asked for the money to be transferred into another account. Theres a four week process for that to be accepted. I am now currently having another card sent to me so i can ring up again, to be passed through the call centre to different people to transfer the money to this new card (if it arrives). Its been a month since i have been back and have had little progress. I want to reiterate that this is the worst card service I have ever come across. If I had read just a few of the comments on here I would not have bought one. The biggest waste of time and money. DO NOT BUY!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Do not recommend!
Wish I had of read this before I purchased, will be cutting up! My intention was to use all of 2 currencies that I put in the cash passport (euro and pound). What I found frustrating was the fee (albeit small) that the ATM charged when withdrawing cash! but then left me with amounts (less than 10 pound 10 euro) in the cash passport that I could not withdraw because you can only withdraw denominations of 10 ( what ever currency). Small amount but wrong in principal. Now I'm trying to get money back - 3 weeks and still waiting! and going through over the top frustrating process!!

checkouts and this cards unreliability caused angst and stress during our trip. Our funds from a reload via BPAY were never loaded onto our card leaving us without funds for 3 weeks in the USA. The phone “helpline” was completely useless and either dropped out our call or asked us to email our complaint to them and offered no solution to our question of “where is our money” or “what are our options now”! offered no solution to our question of “where is our money” or “what are our options now”! There were no attempts to contact us or return calls to help us either. This is appalling conduct given that this company had acknowledged they knew the funds had been accessed from our account and that our transaction numbers were correct...They had lost our money! On our return to Australia it took a minimum of 8 emails and 6 phone conversations to finally get our money back. A most unsatisfactory outcome and we would warn fellow travellers to Never Use This Card.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Cash Passport Travel Card - Don't use
Wish I had read this site before I got a cash passport travel card. Service terrible. I loaded funds onto the card to then not be able to access the funds overseas as told the card had expired - yet I was able to load funds on the card. Took many phone calls to get funds while overseas. Since discovered the $50 remaining on my card has gone as they have charged a $4 monthly fee for not using the card in a 12 month period. Look at NAB travel card instead.

Do not get this card
This is the worst customer service ever. So I have this card which I have used on previous trips (Europe and NZ), and it worked OK, not super cheap but ok. I recently logged in to my account and moved the 5 euro that was left on it over to jp¥ and the site let me, was happy to show balances etc. I then used the bpay code to chuck $500AU into the card, as part of my budget for my trip to Japan in November (which takes three business days) I checked the account just now, two weeks later as I was about to move more money into the account, but ther...Read more
e was no more money in there than last time? Looked over the card (which i didn't need to do the bpay or other infor) and realised it expired at the end of April and can't be used to purchase or put money in. (however there was no indication -that i understood as the card being expired- this was the case on the website when I logged in. If I look at the cards it says (active) below it, there is also an option to deactivate it.) I called them, spent hours on hold, finally someone answered and just said "hello, hello, are you there, I will have to end the call" and hung up on me (the people I called from my phone before and after could hear me fine) so I called back and after a long time on the phone I was cut off again without someone even fake answering this time. I have called my bank and they have opened an enquiry to the bpay, but is 14/15 days before that goes through and then the refund process doesn't sound easy or even guaranteed, as the person on the other end has to release the funds.Similar opinion?
