What a machine!!
Automatic were not an option in the country I grew up. Learnt a manual or stick shift, drove them for good few years and absolutely loved the feeling. Coming to oz and seeing the convenience of automatic decided to get a used lancer sx, hang on I'm getting to the 3, drove it for a year and hated it. Not so much the car itself but CVT. It just felt bland and unexciting. Decided to trade it in for a new 3, boy did I make the second best decision in my life ( first being asking my wife to marry me, she reads this stuff). Main reason to buy was t...Read more
he transmission. Awesome: Lets talk engine. This has to be one of the finest engines. I've driven an imprezza, i30, corolla but imo 3 has one of the most refined engines. Transmission, all manual drivers can relate to the way the transmission feels when you get off the line. The gear shift is seamless. Handling, good Lord this car can take a corner. The G vectoring or whatever the heck they call it when the tail sort of tells you, yeah mate good going I've got your back, is amazing. Sport mode, in the Twisties, best fun you can imagine. Power, trust me you won't have problems getting off the line with the 2.5lt engine. Unless your stopped next to a SS. But it's an unfair comparison.Similar opinion? Transmission failure at 3,000kms!!
I purchased a brand new 2022 Mazda 3 BN SP25 on the 8th of March 2022 from my local Mazda dealer. The car drove fine for the first 2 months (as you would expect from a brand new car).
On the 21st of May I started up my car and gave it 5 minutes to warm up, as I usually do every morning. As I was exiting my street and turned onto the main road, I noticed that the vehicle was not changing from first gear to second gear (automatic transmission). The car was revving up to high rpms and refused to changed gear. I somehow managed to drive the car up...Read more
the hill on the main road and turned into a nearby residential street. I immediately turned off the vehicle and waited a few minutes before starting the car again. I proceeded to drive back to my residence and I noticed that the vehicle refused to change gears again and the car was lacking power. I managed to drive my car up the hill again with the hazard lights on and managed to park the car on my nature strip. I changed the gear to reverse to adjust the car on the nature strip and I noticed the car wouldn’t reverse either ... I left the car at home and took my weekend vehicle to work. I had to ask my father to stay back from work, to have the vehicle investigated. My father called the Mazda dealer we purchased the vehicle from and the dealer organised to have the vehicle towed. However, the dealer advised us that they wouldn’t be able to inspect the car for a few days as they were full booked out. The vehicle was towed on the same day the incident occurred (Tuesday 21st May 2022). The dealer advised that they will be contacting Mazda Australia immediately to organise a courtesy vehicle. I didn’t receive a call from Mazda Australia on Tuesday, so I decided to call both the dealer and Mazda Australia on Wednesday. The dealer advised that they spoke to someone from Mazda Australia on Tuesday and that Mazda Australia has advised that someone would be contacting me on the same day. The dealer advised that they will be following up with Mazda Australia again. I decided to call Mazda Australia myself and the customer service representative advised that my case manager was busy, so she would return my call. I didn’t receive a call back from Mazda Australia on Wednesday either. On Thursday I called Mazda Australia again and once again the customer service representative advised that the car manager was busy and my call would be returned. I also called my local dealer and the dealer advised that the car has been diagnosed with a failed transmission ... I was beyond shock that a transmission on 2 month old car had failed (the car had only travelled 3,000kms at this point). The dealer advised that a transmission had been ordered and it would take about a week to arrive from Melbourne.

Excellent vehicle but the seat is not comfortable for long traveling
Excellent car in this segment. Fuel average is good and feels like better than the average car. But this vehicle has some issues like seats are not comfortable for a long drive. Feeling very tired after that. Second, the engine is noisy and a lot of vibration feeling when drive in high. Good for City Drive

2018 Mazda 3 Maxx Sport Automatic Hatchback.
Purchased the vehicle during the recent Mazda run-out sale. Personally have not driven a Mazda before so decided to give this a try after receiving many positive reviews about the vehicle.
So far after driving for almost 3 months mainly commuting on a daily basis, the feeling of the car has been very positive. The car feels and handles very well and one does not feel like I am driving a small car. One of the main reason also for selecting this car is due to it's fuel efficiency and so far in my 70+ km daily commute it has certainly not disappointed and can hit around 700 km on a full tank. Overall the vehicle does provide very good value for money.

Amazing little rocket
I bought my Mazda second hand. It has never complained and I have had no issues with it. Mazda has always been helpful when needed. Except they will charge you 70 dollars just to open your bonnet so be careful! Overall amazing car and not a bad word to say

Well built long lasting car
Bought a 2nd hand 2011 Mazda 3 BL series in 2014 and has been a reliable and safe car that has minimal issues so far. Car was bought at a bargain price way below market price. Servicing as been much cheaper than our other car the VW golf. Fuel efficiency is also a positive no problems lasting a week on a full tank.

perfect small car, some minor issues with windscreen wiper.
I use my car for everyday travel to work, or long distance road trip on a daily basis. It has never failed on me, except when I left the lights on to drain the battery. The windscreen wiper appears to leave screen blurry on every initial use but it does clear up after about 10 wipes.

Enjoyable Car and Very Reliable
This car represents an amazing value and has been very reliable. Built quality is amazing with no rattling discernible and handling is very tight. While the engine doesn’t sound desirable and sounds like a lawnmower, you get over that quickly and has enough power for your day to day. The automatic transmission is very silky smooth as well. It should be noted that servicing might be more expensive than competitors as it has 6 month service intervals.

2018 Mazda 3 SP25 Manual - Great Zoomy car with a bit of speed
As a real estate agent on the sunshine coast I use this to get around as my daily, I have chosen the manual version and love the gear shifts. This car handles really well as I drive up to Mapleton on those winding roads. Bluetooth is annoying??? A questionable upgrade needed as it drops out regularly.

Fuel efficient, safe, luxurious
The mazda 3 is an adorable little hatchback with a very sleek welcoming interior. I'm blown away at how little fuel it uses and the safety features such as radar, abs, and collision detection have saved me alot of trouble more than once (which says something about my driving as well as the cars ability to correct me XD) The gps is pretty bad, but I just use my phone on bluetooth. The sound system is flawless, not so good for bass nuts, but spectacular for any hi fi people who can appreciate a good bose sound system.

Excellent
Had my 2014 SP25 about 7 months, 17k km, has been flawless. Coming from Fords, and Holdens, I'll never go back. Previous car was an XR6T, so was expecting it to be a slug, but for a little 2.5 litre, it's pretty quick. Travel 500+ km a week, and spend 40-50 on fuel compared to 90+ when I drove the Falcon.
The 6 speed manual box is great, the MZD voice commands for GPS is a godsend, and bluetooth calls is just awesome. Will definately buy another when it's time to upgrade.

It's okay, little bit sporty
It's actually very confusing car, I hated every second when I owned this car. It's 2006 year model Mazda 3 Neo
It didn't have cruise control and stereo controls
Suspension is veeery stiff, too much noise
Steering is way too heavy, i understand sporty handling should be heavy like bmws but engine is too slow to call this little car sporty

Steering wheel wear is terrible on this model
2014 sp25 astina,Done low kms but leather is wearing . Most other used astinas were the same. The piano black trim is a bad choose also as it scratches too easily. Apart from that it’s been great .

Bought this car in March 2016. I Didn't feel like worth for the money I spent on this($30 K).
From past 6- 7 Months lot if issue coming up in the car.
1. Shocker issues- Which I raised in last service and the service department said they have order new part to replace it. straight after 5-6 months same issue coming up.
2. False Alarm for seat belt
3. Poor quality of paint work specially when you have the paint protection(after marketing sold)
4. Noisy
Hope that help.

Excellent and reliable car!
This is a really reliable car! I've had it for almost 5 years. The mazda 3 has a great aesthetic, is an easy and smoothe drive, has a great turning circle and is very fuel efficient. The hatchback is surprisingly spacious. You can also drop the boot down to fit a lot. I get the car serviced once per year and I've had no issues with it.

The ideal car for me. Never had a moments problems
I use my car at least every second day, either to do Local shopping, Visiting friends,Travelling to holiday destinations, and for Transport to the local railway station if I want to go into the city. My car is serviced by Mazda Pakenham and they call me when the service is due. First day I got it, it was "keyed" at the shops and on day three it was "keyed" at Caribbean Gardens market. Tends to be a target for rogue shopping trolleys .... but I can't blame the car for that.

Great car with good fuel economy.
Zippy little car that is affordable and good on fuel. Good amount of technology and features make driving these new Mazdas more pleasurable. the front roof supports are a little large and the bonnet slants down making it difficult to see easily.

Mazda 3 SP25 GT Has not Disappointed
I use my Mazda 3 to drive to work. I use my car to drive to work 5 days a week. I drive around greater western Sydney. I drive my car every day. I get this car serviced for the regular 15,000 kms mark. Cost is acceptable. No issues with this car at all. It has lots of smarts to keep me safe on the road.
In regards to ZOOM ZOOM. Put it in sports mode and nothing catches it. Best car I have ever had. I've had Subaru, Holden, Volvo, Toyota, Ford. and my pocket rocket GT is the most reliable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND my Mazda 3 SP25 GT.

I get to go zoom zoom in my niece's new Mazda
My niece passed her driving test on her first try (at 31YO) after the last lot of driving lessons from me,so now I get to drive her nice new car. The 2018 Mazda 3 does really go zoom zoom - quiet, powerful (even with the 2000cc motor) and modern in feel and design. The 6-speed auto box is magic. I get to drive it short and long distance- it never misses a beat - almost tends to drive itself. Love it!

Hi Guys,
Anyone with a CX 9 2022 that has noise issues through cabin, Touring model purchased new and has less than 8K, noises started around 500 K and has been to Mazda some 14 times - Mazda Corp has also been involved assigning a Field Tech who found that the wiper cowl bolts wee loose - re torqued and said ok - far from reality as after that the car has been there another three times and finally the guys said that they cannot fix it and logged it again with Corp - i am waiting now to be called in..again..
Has any fellow 9 2022 model experiences noises in the cabin going over certain bumps - not all though..
It would be great to share any solutions as i am loosing my sanity with this car and it is such a pity as i really like it..
New car experience ruined 110%..
