I have a W1 twin dos - I washed my jumper on the wool cycle and it shrunk completely - I can't seem to see how to change the temp setting on the woollens cycle, does anyone know if you can do that?
Hi Ncoll,
First and foremost did you use the Miele Delicates Wash - i.e. the liquid wash which should be used for wool items? The temperature setting on the wool cycle is changed very easily - the d...
I have the hygiene notification so I set the machine to clean but every time I do this my laundry floods. It seems to be coming from the dispenser drawer. Help!
Hi Angela R,
I also have a WKH130WPS but have not heard of this happening. Could you enlighten me please as to what exactly you are doing. Are you using the "Maintenance Program" (found on " Furthe...
Hi Miz MK yes I leave it empty put it onto further programs and clean machine, it comes up as maintenance and 1hr 29mins, part way through the cycle the floor is flooded and there are water runs down ...
Read morethe front of the machine looks like it is originating from the dispenser drawer. This has happened since new which only since May this year. Double checked the dispenser drawer is closed properly and have checked the filter as well to make sure not blocked. Only used twin dos in the machine so the dispenser shouldn't be blocked. On.y time used powder is to clean the machine. Problem is the hygiene alert stays on the machine as the cycle never gets to finish.
Hi again Angela R,
I would definitely recommend that you contact the Miele Service Department as soon as possible and tell them what is happening with the machine. It's very strange and I just don't...

Read moreG machine prior the Miele I had an LG for over 10 years and not a problem and a very easy machine to use the Miele is very hard on your cloths we are now back to hand washing the bras as the machine kills them very quickly plus the wash cycles are way to long, not a good machine. The LG is a 3rd of the price of the Miele and 3 times better than the Miele.Hi Mark,
I live in Melbourne where the water is very soft. You can adjust the TwinDos dosage using the Settings. I did this thinking that may be the reason for my terrible experience with the machin...
Read moree. Alas, no. I have had the same experience as Gavin.
I also called Miele about this oversuddsing issue and the gentleman on the phone informed me that "I should only wash my cheap clothing until the machine is fixed, and if I was ANYTHING LIKE HIM that ...
Read morewouldn't be a problem because nothing he owned was over $12". Wow. Here's a tip Miele - if I only had clothes that were $12 I wouldn't have bought a Miele washing machine....................Hi - We had a power cut half way through a cycle. When power came back on, we restarted the programme from the start but the machine seems to have dispensed a 2nd lot of soap and it's full of foam. Now it's saying the Drain is blocked - which is not the case, as the drain is fine. How do we get rid of all the soap?
Hi Roseanne this does not surprise me that soap dispenser. Is a pain we ran the machine for a little over a week every second day and I did not think the clothes were very clean or had a clean smell s...
Read moreo I checked the Dos units and found they were not working I am not happy with their system I am sorry I can not help you I did speak to the service people and they said redo the new installation setup this did work but I don't want to do that each time I hope you can fix your problem. GavinThanks but we usually find the dispensers are great. We have used the machine daily for 6 months and had no problems at all. We think this is just a one-off.
Hi all. I have the WKG130 and had a couple of questions for people in Australia (specifically Melbourne) using this machine. I've noticed the water temperature and spin settings can be quite high on some cycles. Some clothes are not gathering pilling and feel like cardboard when removed from the machine when washed on the correct setting with the TwinDos soap. Has anyone experience similar? Is everyone using the standard settings or customised settings for socks, underwear, pjs etc. Even new, good quality cotton t-shirts are looking sad and feel like a tablecloth.
Hi Natalie,
There are some items which should not be washed using the TwinDos Ultra Phase 1 and Ultra Phase 2. I have a WKH 130WPS (TwinDos, Power Wash and Cap) which I have had for over twelve mont...
Does this Miele model have the option to save your own favourite settings for wash programs?
Which function should I use for blankets in a wkh130?
Hi Cookiecutter,
first and foremost it is important to understand and clarify exactly what 'type' of blanket you wish to clean:
- woven cotton or pressed cotton blankets can be washed with the 'Cotton' program;

Once you do the "first wash" to setup the Twin Dos system do you have to press the "Dos" button on each wash or will it automatically invoke dosing?
It would make sense for Miele to make the twin dos the default with the twin dos machine. This should be fed back to Germany.
Trying to go in set up so I can set the detergent dose, etc. and any time I switch the machine on goes to languages and removal of the two bars, I press ok and still does the same. I'm going to express wash and I'm pressing the dose button it tells me to go to set up and make the dose of the detergent. Can someone let me know how can I start this machine?
Thanks!
I wish I could shed more light on this for you, but it's been so long now since I initially set it up that I can't remember. May be a silly question, but have you actually removed the two bars? Langua...
Read moreges comes up first when you go into settings (by pressing the two arrows simultaneously). You then scroll to what option you want. You should see detergent as an option and select whether it's in comp. 1 or comp.2, miele detergent or universal etc. As stated in the dreaded 'manual', the correct dosages for ultra phase 1 and 2, should automatically appear. For generic detergents, you will need to work it out manually using the detergent recommendations. Rule of thumb in settings is if in doubt keep scrolling until you see the 'back' option, which eventually takes you back to the start of the options. Or worse case scenario, turn the machine off and on or change the fabric setting dial (cottons, delicates etc.) to reset and start again. I know it's very frustrating, keep persevering and I often find it can be just one word in the directions (and how you perceive it) that can really steer you off course. Good luck with it all. I have since been back to the retailer who I bought it from and saw the same salesperson, who originally told me she 'had a Miele and wouldn't use anything else', only to be told 'I don't know, I don't have one, you'll need to contact Miele direct'. I haven't done this yet, but stay tuned. . . . .Get an answer from our members and Miele representatives
