Had this fridge a couple of months and it is perfect. Found it after searching and finding bad reviews for other fridges, which were noisy, unreliable, breakable plastic, poorly serviced, etc. We're very impressed with Fridge & Washer City who had the larger model on show & ordered this model for us. Their price was well below RRP. This fridge is SILENT! The shelving holds a lot, is easy to use, & having several drawers/doors is great - less unnecessary loss of cool air. The ice maker is simple to use and works very well. Great to have the 'chi...
Read moreller' drawer for bread & lightly frozen food. Well worth paying a little more for such great quality. It's outside dimensions are smaller but its bigger inside compared to our last fridge. Highly recommend. We have always had F&P pigeon pair, which lasted for 20years, but needed a single unit for our new house. This fridge is absolutely perfectly proportioned for our family and have never missed the pigeon pair. The food stays fresher longer the drawers are awesome and we can fit two and 3 L milk containers in the fridge door although they have to go in the upper section. Not a problem for my tall family however.
We were worried that having to fill the ice water container would be a problem, but it isn't at all.

I have had this fridge for 6 months and I love it. After reading reviews of many fridges I was worried about buying a new fridge and decided to keep my 25 year old one. I discovered the old one wouldn't fit though the doors in my new house so I had to buy new. I like the non-plumbed ice maker and the easy accessibility of everything in the freezer and vegetable drawers. The soft freeze function means no more struggling to scoop out rock hard ice cream. The rest of my kitchen has soft close drawers and cupboards so I find I am constantly leaving...
Read more the fridge door partly open which is annoying - I will have to learn to give the doors a harder push. I also wish I could fit a 2 litre milk container in the door. These are minor compared to the advantages of this fridge. It is a great product.- 20 reviews

Decided to have a look at this fridge after reading such positive reviews of the previous model. It's not easy to find in stores and I had to call Mitsubishi head office where I was given details of stores who had a display model in stock. Once we tracked it down we were impressed enough to splash out and I'm so glad we did! Even though it's narrower & shorter than our old 500 litre fridge, it holds way more & it's all in the design. Many of the shelves and pockets are adjustable and much of the storage is in the door. The Versa compartmen...
Read moret allows you to soft freeze items...we keep our bread in there & it means each slice pulls apart easily. Things like sausages and chicken fillets also pull apart from each other with ease. The Vegetable compartment is roomy and the freezer is a decent size although we also have a chest freezer for larger items. Haven't tried the ice making compartment yet but it seems easy enough to use. And it's quiet...you barely hear a peep from it! Have only had it for just over a month but am already recommending to family & friends.Find out how Mitsubishi Electric Multi Drawer MR-EX Series compares to other French Door Fridges / Refrigerators

For persons with limited mobility and problems with bending, the large dual freezer shelves are better than anything else I have seen on the market. My only issue is with the lack of space on the door for large milk containers - otherwise it is superbly layed out.
We are happy to hear that the upside down design suits your needs. We are strong believers in the accessibility benefits for putting the most accessed section of the refrigerator on the top.

Love it to the max. Super quite and compact!
Price maybe expansive, but consider the tight place, this fridge is just perfectly fitted into a fridge recess of just 800mm! Good value for money and definitely recommending it if you can afford to do so. 3.5 stars energy rating is the plus!
Hi Johnson,
We're delighted to hear you love this fridge so much. Our engineers have worked hard to increase the internal volumes without increasing the external dimensions. ...

Good fridge / Freezer. 5 year warranty. Energy rating 3 stars. Separate veggie draw works well cant say if it prolongs life more than normal fridge but large size and access makes it easy to use. Freezer down to -20.easy to get to and sliding shelf good. Ice maker works well no plumbing required. Versa Soft freezer to warm @ -10 to cold -20 no in between. Shelves not adjustable but plenty of variety re storage. Egg tray holds 10 not 12. No butter compartment. Because of all the different compartments in the fridge section don't know if there is enough room for all the groceries for family with kids.
Expensive at just over $3k
Hi Andrew,

Read moret that this model uses inverter technology will make it quieter than many others. We had a double door fridge made by a top manufacturer. There is no comparison with this model. It must have been designed by a woman as there is drawers and areas you can have everything organized. The ice maker is perfect, you can choose how much ice you need. Beautiful design and colour. Has certainly added elegance to our kitchen.

I love my fridge... I have had this now for about 5 months and cannot fault it! It is well worth the high price tag, as it really is very well designed and manufactured for: ease of use, extremely quiet operation, excellent and efficient use of space, very large and usable vegetable and fruit compartment, easy to use/fully cleanable/quiet ice maker, etc. etc. It looks really impressive too :-)
PS. I was really worried, because not many stores seem to stock it for showroom viewing... I think the price point is too high for them to "waste" on a display model perhaps? Even so, I bought this th...

Something drew me to this fridge - out of the dozens I looked at - I kept coming back to this one. It was more money than I wanted to spend, but I rely on honest reviews, and well, the reviews spoke for themselves - so I took the plunge based on the fact that I got an honest-to-goodness 5 year guarantee with no hidden tricks (unlike other brands).
Plug it in, and what you'll notice immediately, is the whisper quiet operation. You will also be thrilled with the "intelligence" that is packed into this thing. It reminds me of a Honda Civic I onc...

My old F&P packed it in after 10 years (not bad these days), it was a tough call to spend double its replacement value on the 655W but I am glad I did. It was between getting a fridge or a motorbike so an emotive decision!!!!
Well not quite as fun but as I get satisfaction out of things that are designed well I am so happy with this fridge. I bought the mer-ex562 a month ago and it's amazing. It's like a tardis - the external size is the same as my old fridge - it had to fit in the tiny space I have for a fridge in my apartment - but the capacity is much greater and much better organised. The things I love about it are: the icemaker (especially in a fridge this size), the ability to chill drinks quickly, the space for the orange juice, the vegetable drawer that pumps moisture in, the soft freeze function, the egg tray and I could go on.
all the functions that do work exactly as the instructions say
moderately expensive (but is worth it)
Recently bought the mr-ex562, replacing our 385L mitsubishi fridge (which we also loved very much). The fridge is just the right size. The fridge is so elegant, plenty of space with plenty of features. I can see where things are. I love the automated ice cube maker. Did i mention the soft freezing?
My friends and relatives were adoring our fridge when they came over to our place. They were thinking of getting one too.
I bought my fridge earlier this year. What a dream! I can really recommend it. My best friend and my daughter have now bought the smaller capacity model of the fridge. They had to choose the smaller capacity because of space restrictions. They are both very happy with their fridges.
The vegetable draw if truly the star of the fridge. Fruit and veg stay fresher longer. I was able to keep radish crisp for over a week. The ice maker is amazing. You just pour water into the container in the fridge and the ice appears in the draw under...

You can put two x 2 litre milk containers in the back of the bottom bottle pocket, and one x 2 litre container in the front of the pocket (towards the left hand side).
