Love the ice maker, love the Eco electricity use. Works great. Great for fresh food. Plenty of space in the fridge, being only the two of us, haven't yet filled but love the ability to regulate each area of use for power. Having travelled for last three years not used to having a large fridge again, but not complaining. It just works well

Completed research before we went shopping as we had limited space, had a short list of makes and models. Once we saw this one in the store the decisions was made, fits great in our kitchen both size and colour. Concerned about the amount of storage as it appeared much smaller than our previous fridge, no problems it holds more than we thought.Very very quiet, ice maker is really convenient, lots of space in vegetable drawer which can also be used to store other items Purchased about a month ago, very happy with our choice.
Bought this fridge 3 months ago. I agree with most of the positive reviews given here. Excellent design, good performance, extra functionalities, beautiful appearance, energy efficient, and quality materials used. Plus 5 years warranty! What else is not to like? Bought ours at 2nds World for less than $1000. Still pricey but you'd be buying something that's worth it. Very very happy and proud to show it off!
We have owned this fridge for 4 months and can't fault it. Very clever design and well built. It is quiet and our energy bills attest to it being energy efficient. Through its digital control panel it offers granular control of many elements such as ice making, separate temperatures for different compartments, soft freeze, quick freeze and humidity etc.
Shop around for prices on this fridge, we bought it online and saved approximately $1000. Harvey Norman couldn't come close on price.

works well, only concern i had before buying this fridge was to store 2 and 3 ltr milk bottles, but i can fit three 3ltr bottles without problem in one of the door shelf.
I find freezer section is little bit small but saying that i wished i went for next size up.
love how easy it is to scoop ice out and it does not require plumbing. inserting water bottle for ice-making is also very easy.
silly to have egg tray that only holds 10 eggs, when eggs come in dozen from any supermarket. also if I don't want to put eggs in that little compartment, then there is not much stuff that would fit in that little section wasting space. I like how in bigger version they got rid of that little egg tray compartments and instead gave loose egg tray.

Simply A Great Fridge, And The Icemaker Is A Smart Design
We've had our MR-EX655W for about a year now. A terrific fridge. Quiet and has a good number of compartments. We really wanted an ice maker but not one that required being plumbed in. The system in this fridge is so simple to use and filling the water container is easy.
I have had the Mitsubishi for 2 years now and it is an excellent fridge. I was looking for an energy efficient, practical, quiet and easy to clean fridge. The Mitsubishi delivers on all fronts. With 2 doors a small and a large, air is trapped in the main fridge compartment and maintains its temperature. A separate ice compartment means you only open that drawer to have ice. A separate Fruit and Vegetables drawer with adjustable temperature control keeps your fruit fresher longer. The freezer drawer is a great height and so convenient with...
Read more a shallow drawer compartment as well. And I love the small freezer drawer that can store items we use frequently and is also adjustable to a soft freeze or hard freeze. There are quick freeze options and also an eco running function. The controls are on the front of the fridge with a child lock and easy to use. Best investment and a total surprise that I found what I was looking for: a fridge with many compartments that would not loose its temperature every time the doors were opened. And a turn table at the top of the fridge for condiments. Thank you Mitsubishi!Related Articles

I bought this fridge just over a month ago and I'm so happy with it. Keeps veg fresher for longer, the ice maker is great and it is super quiet. The fridge is cleverly designed with all the different compartments and deep door shelves. Make sure you shop around as prices vary hugely.

I used to have a Mitsubishi drawer fridge/freezer which I very reluctantly sold when moving into an apartment with a built in fridge/freezer. Since then I've had a Fisher & Paykel which was terrible, an LG which wasn't bad but not on par with Mitsubishi and a very disappointing Bosch. Writing about the Bosch was the reality check I needed to go out and buy a fridge/freezer that actually worked and so I ended up with this one. I now realise how much I missed my Mitsubishi. Its quieter than ever, it really does cool and freeze as it should do, my...
Read more fruit and vegetables really do last longer in the veg drawer, the controls are fantastic, the shelves are very flexible and the versa drawer a great addition. You do pay quite a lot more to have such luxury but its well worth it believe me. If I was to nit pick the fridge doors were not level when it arrived, some of the plastic mouldings do feel a little cheap to the touch compared to my previous Mitsubishi and the outside does show up where hands have been but its easily cleaned. A wonderful fridge/freezer and I will not repeat my previous mistake of selling ever again. After retiring my 20 year old admiral I decided to go for a french door fridge preferably with a cold water or ice maker but struggled to find one that would fit my current fridge bust that was until I found the ex562w, this fridge fitted the bill and much more with multiple doors draws and cooling zones the attention to detail in the design is outstanding far to many features to list the ice makes water supply even filters the water ( but no expensive filter to replace all cleanable and user serviceableread read the Manual ) and then on top of...

Awesome Fridge - Love the ice drawer!
Had the fridge for a couple of weeks now and absolutely loving it. Quality is amazing and better than all other fridges we looked at. Even the overpriced European ones (probably made in China). Having the separate drawer for vegetables gives this fridge so much more space. With the hot weather now the ice draw would have to be one of my favourite things with the fridge! I am also finding myself putting chocolate, jerky and other foods into the vegetable drawer as it keeps things cool but not too cold. Having the separate compartments also means...
Read more that you're not always opening the fridge to then open another door or tray inside the fridge. If anyone is considering this fridge, I highly recommend spending the extra to get it as Mitsubishi have actually invested that extra money into making a quality product (unlike other "European" makes). As this is a Japanese made fridge you will find the price will fluctuate with the exchange rate AUD-JPY. The price of the 655 in Japan is around 300,000 yen so for around the $3500 mark in Australia is a bargain if you ask me. I'm surprised they can even get it here for that much and make money. Hats off to Mitsubishi for bringing this Japanese made fridge to Australia. Main Points: -Very quiet -Easy to clean -Temperature is adjustable in all compartments -Ice drawer is great for summer -Shelf height adjustableWe are pretty impressed with this fridge. Luv luv luv the ice maker and the quick freeze function. Very stylish and the colour is so nice ! We have owned it for approx 2 yrs and cannot imagine going back to a standard white fridge. My hubby actually picked this fridge out. Best thing I ever let him choose

I love this fridge. I had read the reviews on this site and loved it based on those but I was unsure about whether the relatively high price tag was worth it - but it is! This fridge is so cleverly designed and has features that I did not even know I wanted but that I now cannot live without. I love the soft freeze drawer, the ice maker (and so do the kids) and the clever design of each of the shelves and drawers. I am still no super keen on having the vegetable compartment on the bottom (it feels like I am always bending down) but it is hu...

Love the crisper drawer, so easy to organise and access, the slide back drawer holds large navel oranges and the front section holds cos lettuce vertically and bags of salad so nothing is squashed and it is huge! Versa drawer is great for cooking then quick chill, no more worries about the danger zone, also great for a quick chill of a little bottle of Sticky. You can feel the strength of the fridge when you open or close the drawers and the doors, even the plastic chiller drawer in the body of the fridge feels strong, no flimsy plastic here. I just love it.

I do not write many reviews, but this f ridge deserves it! This is the fridge you spend more money on upfront, but then you feel BETTER THAN GREAT every time you open its doors! It ticks all the boxes: efficiency, ellegance, reliability, functionality, everything is very accessible in every draw. We did our homework, we were tight with money, but this is the fridge you want to have! I would buy it all over again if I would need another one! Best score for Japanese engineering...

I purchased this fridge after much deliberation. Before I ordered my fridge, I wasn't sure about the look or colour but I am ABSOLUTELY delighted with the storage, look, feel and how QUIET it is. I have not heard it running, ever! It's better than a plumbed fridge, so easy to make ice and takes no room. I love the divided sections and it really 'blends' into the kitchen rather than dominating the kitchen. Who really wants to make the fridge the feature piece ?
Purchased approximately 6 months ago
Fantastic efficient fridge and comes with 5 year warranty and is made in Japan
Dear Kay,
We are delighted to hear you are very happy with your fridge purchase. The MR-EX655W really is a great model. I'm sure you'll continue to be very happy with it....
Read more Just so you know, this model features inverter technology. The inverter gradually increases/decreases the compressor (instead of turning off and on with a clunk). This helps to make it really quiet. Glad you you like the non-plumbed ice maker. The idea behind that is you don't have to worry about getting a plumber in. Also, it's pretty easy to pull the jug out to fill and the other parts to clean. So it's healthier! Be sure to follow us on Facebook. We are working on some content that shows you how you can use some of the advanced functions like the versa drawer. We bought this fridge due to the different sections of the fridge & the name, a Japan made fridge, not china.
It has been perfect, vegetables are kept fresher for longer, possibly more than twice as long.
I love the Fridge/freezer drawer, as I set it to light freeze. Meat taken from here is room temperature quickly & my ice cream is soft, not a rock.
We have had it for 8 months now, beautiful. It looks great as well.
We keep some items together in the smaller top door, as these are used most often. The door shelves are quite deep, so we ca...

We have used our fridge for a couple of months now and absolutely love it. Support seems excellent too, as being unsure if I was using the soft freeze drawer correctly, Mitsubishi answered my query swiftly and clearly and patiently. Something I hadn't considered, because of the setup, one is only opening the needed section and so temperature control is far more efficient than a fridge with a common door for all sections. Hope that makes sense --- we LOVE it.
Further months along and if you are thinking about a new refrigerator seriously consid...

We purchased this fridge/freezer earlier this year (2015), replacing an older upside/down fridge/freezer.
It's got some very good points and a couple of minor not so good ones:
Good points:
The fridge has 3 major sections: fridge part (2-door), freezer part (large drawer), and vegetable part (large drawer); in addition it has 2 small drawers - one stores ice (made by the fridge), the other 'soft-freezes' meat and fish. It even has an egg drawer for a dozen eggs.
It does not have to be connected to water!
It provides a touch panel for control.
It has an exceptional outer finish! Very easy to clean and looks fabulous!

We wanted to replace our 20 year old Westinghouse to go with our modernised kitchen. We considered a few brands, read all the reviews and visited showrooms. The Mitsubishi looked superior and had consistently positive reeviews. We only saw the 655L on the showroom floor but we didn't have space for that model and decided on the 562L unseen. This is a beautifully styled and engineered fridge - the easy glide veggie and freezer drawers, the well illuminated fridge compartment, the ice-maker that doesn't need any plumbing are all positives. I'm pl...
Read moreeased to say that the egg drawer now holds a dozen eggs! Obviously Mitsubishi have been listening to the feedback. I have one issue, we can only store one 2L orange juice and one 2L milk in the door. The Versa drawer is something completely new to us and so far we've only used it for ice-cream - would love advice on how else it can be utilised. I have one suggestion for Mitsubishi. As our fridge space is fairly tight and the powerpoint is at the side the power plug is too big. A flat plug can make a crucial difference in allowing for the necessary 20mm space either side of the fridge in a tight space. It's a fairly pricey fridge, but well worth the price if you can afford it.Four months in and we still LOVE this fridge. The freezer and fruit/veggie drawers are so convenient and easy to use with excellent capacity; and with some adjusting of the door compartments we can no...
Read morew fit 2x2litre milk and one 2litre juice. The Versa drawer is great for quick chilling of a couple of beers as well as keeping ice-cream just right. We can't fault this fridge and from our most recent power bill we suspect it's using less power than our previous westinghouse. It has attracted comments just on its good looks. Marc C- 3 reviews

I absolutely love this fridge. It's size and functional layout are exceptional. But for the 3rd time in 5 years my fridge is freezing my food and the ice maker has died. I am still in warranty by a couple of months, but what I really believe is that I will only have another 18 months left after this repair before it dies again. When you pay nearly $4k for a fridge you would expect it to last longer than 18 months before needing repairs! Mitsubishi warranty has been faultless and their service quick. But I am getting sick and tired of defrosting my milk and eggs every other year.
Purchase Tip: Harvey Norman price match this product and let us put it on 24 month month interest free finance. Still paying it off, but still loving it!

now a few months into it, and would recommend this product without hesitation
be aware that it is both wide and deep; we had to remove the front door from our house to (just) allow it to traverse the entrance area - once in though, that volume proves valuable for maximum storage, and it is stylish in a way that grows on you with familiarity, and like the tardis, externally belies the expanse hidden within once the doors open

Read morends disturbing my ambience - in fact it was plugged in for 3 days before i realised someone had connected it during our renovations :) - even the ice drawer has a foam mat to deaden the potentially offensive sound of ice blocks dropping into the tray the un-plumbed ice maker is really efficient and a much more clever concept than needing to connect your fridge to a pipe somewhere - the reservoir slides out and back in effortlessly, and the drawer holds a major stash of ice cubes that magically never stick together access to all areas / compartments is easy, and the relative storage area sizes are appropriate for the things they need to contain- 2 reviews

Had this fridge a couple of months and it is perfect. Found it after searching and finding bad reviews for other fridges, which were noisy, unreliable, breakable plastic, poorly serviced, etc. We're very impressed with Fridge & Washer City who had the larger model on show & ordered this model for us.
