Great family SUV
Great on fuel for an SUV, plenty of power and so easy to park. This is our main family car and we have had it 2.5yrs and will most likely buy another when we trade in. Great tech, very comfy and brilliant with camera views for parking and manouvering in tight spaces. Ti model.has some great features and handles very well in all conditions. Very safe and reliable family car. First Nissan we have owned and extremely happy with it.

My X- trail saved me
I had a car accident in December 2017 . I believe because of the high safety standards in X trail I survived. There is no option here to attach a written off car but I believe I was lucky to have x-trail 2015. Airbags protect me straight away. Love Nissan

VERY HAPPY WITH MY 2015 T32 X-TRAIL
I've owned 2 previous X-Trails - 2005 T30 and 2009 T31. I now own a 2015 T32, Ti model, auto/petrol, and I'm very happy with it. I bought it new, and it now has 38,000kms on the speedo. As with any cars, it does have a few negatives, but overall, I'm more than happy with it.
Here are a few things that I've found; I like the modern look of it. I find it is more responsive and has more power than the T31. Petrol consumption (I use "proper" 95 octane petrol), is very good on trips. Only filled up today having been Sydney/Newcastle return and Sy...Read more
dney/Blue Mountains return - trip meter showed 550kms with 317kms to go before empty i.e. a good 850kms on this tank (2 passengers and no load) Some more positives are; the "blind spot" warning, "birdseye" camera view; rear leg room and rear passenger doors opening right up; automatic door open/close function; in built "sav nav" - easy to work but must admit some times takes the long way; enjoyable to drive especially country trips; safety driving lights. Some negatives are; a little noisy under acceleration; high side mirrors which are nearly eye level; and that with thick side pillar does block a driver's view a little; wagon space is okay, but why designers removed the wagon drawer storage compartment (found in T31), I and other owners have no idea. Some in between comments; the foot/hand brake isn't a problem for me or the wife - it didn't take long to get used to; push button ignition - its beside the power button of the radio, and one can press the radio power button instead of the ignition button as I did once whilst getting fuel. I thought I'd turn off the engine but had pressed the radio button, and filled up the car with engine still running (yes, it idles that quietly) - high beam is good, but I don't like low beam on country roads - it has a defined line of illuminated area/pitch black area limiting view to about 20ms(?), which is not apparent when there are street lights.Similar opinion? Great family car
Fantastic family car, kids have way more leg room for our long trips to visit family. I am still learning about the car as I haven't had it very long. So far really happy with purchase. Its a lot cheaper to fill up than my husbands car. Quiet on the road and I love the blind spot sensors and the reversing cameras a fantastic for parking

Great Car
This car has been extremely smooth to drive and fits the whole family. Kids love it with a DVD in the back. Recommend it for big families and long drives. Service is a little costly but great warranty claims and cover. Recommend it to people who have large families. Would recommend to others.

Just love it
This is the first new car I have ever brought. From the LED lights to the leath seats all the way to automatic tall gate. The only one thing that I don't like is the foot handbrake. It make the other pedals to close together for my size 9 female shoes.

GREAT ALL ROUND FAMILY CAR
As a previous and very happy Nissan X Trail owner I suppose I am a little bias but after test driving most other similar cars on offer it was hard to resist another X Trail. It has everything a family needs. Great space. Feels very solid. Super convenient, well thought through dash. Happy Driver!!

Great potential if Nissan cares to fix some obvious design flaws and provide updated mapping for the
This is the second top of the line X-Trail I have owned. I have now owned this car for over 12 months and have been impressed with the changes to body and interior as well as the driver aids provided with this model especially the 360 degrees camera system which has been fantastic when negotiating tight parking spots.
I do enjoy driving this model but engine noise is still intrusive with acceleration although quiet when cruising. Economy at 7.6Lit/100km is better than the previous model on a long drive (10lit/100km) which can be attributed I ...Read more

Great value and most comfortable family suv
Just replaced the wifes Hyundai ix35 se fwd with a brand new xtrial ti. When we were shopping for the car she was not keen on the brand but I convinced her to go take a look and test drive it. We took our time test driving the honda CRV VTI-L, the Mazda CX5-GT, the Hyundai Tusan and the Mitsubishi outlander. Each car ticked their boxes but never all. We ended up going back to Nissan and got a great deal with added front and rear sensors, side steps and tow bar. For us the xtrial was by far the most comfortable, best value for money and the mos...Read more
t roomy but dont let the dealer know these thoughts when negotiating (poker face). Hitting 3000ks now and the whole family loves the car. I drive to work in my Mercedes-Benz GLC250 and I have to say the xtrial is impressive interms of the finishing, comfort level and built quality considering the price. All the little luxurious are there with the safety features of the 360 surround camera, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring. Wife and kids loves the big panoramic sunroof and the sound system is not bad. We went on a weekend trip to Wollongong with a friend and it wasnt until half way back she only just realised she wasnt in my mercedes glc! (Wife's car is the same colour as mine). Goes to show how a little bit of renault (european) design input has improved what was to many people a box on wheels.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Nice car.....T31 was better built
I had a T31 (Ti) for 7 years before traded up to the T32 (Ti) last year. Already done 20K just over 15months. The T31 is definitely a better built vehicle overall than the T32. Well, it was built in Japan afterall.......
T31 handles the bush tracks better with more ground clearance and suitable tyres. Never had any issue with T31 from new.
T32 is quieter overall and nicer to sit in. Drives more car like; especially the front suspension setup is assuring. The back end is somewhat little wobbly. It had a few minor issues such as the entertai...Read more

Nissan X-Trail 2015 Lost it`s Appeal
This is our first Nissan.
At first we were very happy but it has been 10 months and now we regret purchasing this car. There is too much wind noise. It got worse over time. There is too much road noise for a new car. My 2004 commodore has less road and wind noise. When we first purchased the car we did not notice it as being as noisy.
The CVT transmission is soooo sluggish and more noisy than a normal type transmission and takes time to get used to it . We do not like it.
It has a space saver Tyre. I will never buy a car with a space saver...Read more

Didn't live up to my expectations
I was very excited to get this and was one of the first in Australia to get it. I bought the Ti model.
Got front park sensors installed. A big mistake. It shorted out the computer and within 24 hours I lost Bluetooth connectivity and the stereo functionality with it. Nissan replaced the stereo computer but the gremlins are still insitu. I still have stereo problems and despite videoing the problem two dealerships are unable to offer anything other than a software upgrade that doesn't resolve the problem. I'm two years into my three year lease and I'm counting the months till I get rid of it. What I do love about it though is the 360 degrees birds eye view camera system.

Good Car, Poor Service And Support
Love my 2015 Nissan Xtrail, purchased in September 2015 from Ringwood Nissan, Victoria. The only issue so far is that the inbuilt GPS system is missing major highway bypass near Geelong, Victoria (which opened in 2010), which led us up the proverbial creek. I contacted Ringwood Nissan five times to request the problem be fixed or looked at and they promised to return my call after looking into the issue. They never did return the calls. I now regret letting the GPS feature influence my level of purchase and for choosing Ringwood Nissan (they as...Read more
sured me the maps were accurate and current at time of sale). Having had my previous Xtrail serviced at Ringwood Nissan for three years prior, this poor courtesy and service is very disappointing. I would not recommend Ringwood Nissan to my friends based on their performance over a simple matter. I also regret that I took out an extended warranty with them; which is now a question mark, given their poor professionalism over a simple matter.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Never ever buy nissan in the future
My x trail is worst car I ever had so disappointed with Nissan.. Only owned 1 year and 6 months. Here are my x trails problems..
1. Audio and sound system doesn't work properly even if I stop and start engine again still doesn't work.. I had an experience that drive a car for an hour or plus without the music (Not all the time but quite often)
2. Push start button doesn't work. It says there's no key or what ever. (Not all the time)
3. Side mirrors folding doesn't fold at same time. Left one starts to fold and then right one starting to fol...Read more

This an update regarding the GPS mapping. Finally, the mapping system has been updated after owning the Ti for 2 years. Good news is that I can look forward to more regular updates from here on.
