A bit expensive.
I was recommended this vacuum following a long discussion with a sales person. He said it was the best value for money. That cheaper vacuums cannot perform like a numatic vacuum. I have to say i am dissapointed in this purchase. The suction is not as powerful, the head broke the first week and i could not find the same. So had to buy a hard and soft floor head which is annoying. I can see that the floor is not as clean as i would like after vacuuming. I would expect this only from a $50 vacuum. Not from a $500 vacuum.

I love my vac
Update: Its now Feb 2020, 4 years on since I purchased. Still going strong! I use it multiple times a day a few times a week. I clean more houses now than when I started cleaning so I change the bag every 3 weeks now. I find good prices on ebay- I only use either genuine numatic or knock-offs but always a hepa-flo microfiber bag, saves the filter and motor. Ive had to change the vacuum head, the original got squeaky on tiles after a while, maybe the wheels were clogged with dirt but i got some smaller generic one and its perfect. The hose has b...Read more
roken off at the ends little by little due to wear and tear but i just cut it cleanly with scissors, reattach the pole and keep going. I should probably replace the filter by now, ive washed it a couple times but its a bit worn. Im still very impressed by the suction of this vacuum. As a cleaner ive used many different vacuums of my clients and colleagues and its right up there with Miele and Nilfisk- I still like the Henry better than other vacuum Ive used. Its rugged and can tolerate a bit of rough handling. Wheels still gliding nice. Aug 2016 review I clean houses for a living and I love my Junior Henry!! :)) He sucks up everything (tissues, plastic, those twisty bread clip ties, socks even) and never gets clogged up. I change the bag every 1-2 months as I don't use my vac in every house I clean but I usually prefer it over the clients' vacuums as he always works better. The cord is long enough to get around and the long hose is nice as I can clean stairs easier but its not a heavy vacuum to hold if necessary. The vacuum bags are nice and cheap. It's not the best at getting by the wall edges of carpet, sometimes I have to take the head off and use the pole but this doesn't bother me as it does a good job. I've had the vacuum for about 6 months, used and moved a lot for my job, and not a problem yet. I don't expect there to be either as its such a quality and simply made vacuum. It would be nice to have the full size Henry with the wind up cord but I didn't want to pay an extra $100 at the time. But again, I'm not bothered by it. Definitely recommend, even if you don't need for commercial use, it will last you forever and I much prefer it over a Dyson anyday!!
Purchased in February 2021.

Hi Brooke, the Junior and Henry vacuums must be used with a bag to prevent damage to the motor. Also the genuine Numatic bags form a critical part of the filtration process to ensure as much dirt and dust is captured within the vacuum for easy disposal. Thanks!
I get mine off ebay as Im also a cleaner and use them frequently. I find really good deals on there. Usually about $35 AUD for 20 bags, last me all year
I clean too many houses for 20 bags a year.
Hence why i wamted to try the reuseable
