Would rate zero star if I could.
Ola Cabs sent a debt collector around with the allegation that a ride wasn't paid for when my PayPal statement revealed that the payment was reflected on my monthly statement. You won't get away with this Ola for trying to double charge me and sending threatening SMSes and e-mails from your debt collector. And no I do not have a facebook account and I wouldn't be in touch without speaking to someone over the phone. You do not respond to your emails. A copy of the debt collection statement will be going to Scam Watch and South Australia Police for breach of personal information and intimidation.

Continually charge for extra tolls
On multiple occasions I have been incorrectly charged for tolls. I have either been charged going both directions on the same toll, or I have taken the exit before the toll and still been charged.

Driver Didn't Arrive, Got Charged, Disputed It and still no response
I use Ola on an everyday basis but all of a sudden, one day I had ordered an Ola and was waiting for it for 20 minutes. It didn't arrive and I tried calling the drive but dude never picked up my call.
All of a sudden I noticed that my ride was apparently completed and I was charged. I called Ola to sort it out and they said they would investigate and I haven't hear back.

No cab,charged for cancellation
Ordered cab thru app,stated taxi was on way. Sat out front,car went past house, i walked onto road to see where he was,received sms that there was a $10 cancellation fee...total time from driving past to cancellation fee was approx. 15 seconds,no taxi in sight..Easy way to make $10, have tried to contact but their site just sends you in circles...i am another dumb aussie being taken advantage of. I may have lost $10 but i will make sure all the employees i work with and all members of social clubs i attend will know of their method of stealing.

Super Affordable (Cheaper than Uber) and sometimes you save 50% when they have their discounts on
I've used Ola for 2 years and its been progressively better. Initially I would had to wait 10 - 15 minutes for a ride but its gotten better over the years and it takes only 3 - 5 minutes for a driver to pick me up.
I recommend other users to use it because Ola pays the drivers more than Uber as Uber takes a bigger cut. You also save more money using Ola than Uber (most of the times).
The drivers are friendly just like an Uber driver. I would definitely use Ola when ever I'm in the city but when ever I use Ola at the country side, there's almost never an Ola Driver and I have to resort to Uber.

Stealing money!
I had my first and would definitely my last ola ride. They charged me $22 which i never made and authorise! It shows in my ride history and the amount taken on my card that i only used ola twice, but magically took $22 on my account the ride i never did! Scam! Just takes money out on you?! I wonder if they are as fast as refunding like how fast they took it!

OVERCHARGING
I used to like ola for its affordable fares and fast travel time. But I got three terrible drivers that overcharge my fares. One was actually supposed to be only $10 but I was charged $40 as the driver kept on going without stopping the ride when I’ve arrived. Even though I did got complementary refund of 18$ (40-18=22), it was still more than what I expected. The other two was when the drivers took the longer toll routes and I was charged toll fees when they could’ve just gone to the normal route and got OVERCHARGED . I expected to pay based on the GIVEN RANGE. Overall,

OLA - Do Not Use! Non accountable offshore thieves
I took my first (and last) ride with Ola from Brisbane Airport to Sunnybank.
1) As I was a new customer I was offered a discount code for my first ride.
The App would not allow the code to be entered (after > 5 attempts it became apparent that it was an Ola marketing scam)..
2) The $ quote for the ride cost came up on the phone - but was overlaid with other script.
Was this a $30 or $60 ride? - impossible to read clearly, so I reloaded several times but still not clear.

terrible experience
I have been contacted by a debt collection agency for a fare taken in 2018. The ride was from Melbourne CBD to St Kilda approximately 7km. The fare breakdown provided has a ride distance of 33km meaning a fare of $57.77. This is normally a $15 ride. I have tried contacting their support team but have been told this can’t be fixed as the fare is too old and that the incorrect fare must be paid. This is totally unreasonable given they have made the error.

Literal theft
I was using Ola occasionally in 2022, but it was never my first choice for rideshare as most of the time the drivers didn't even show up. I never had this issue with other rideshares. By around October 2022 I had stopped using them altogether. Then in January 2020 I get a $181.98 ride charge from Ola, despite never having taken such a trip, and the trip is not even reflected in my ride history within the Ola app. After disputing with them for weeks, the money was never returned and I had to change my bank account details and card number. Now I have been getting SMS texts saying I owe them $18? Absolute fraud and has no place in the Australian market.

Dodgy - 2 years later they sicked dodgy debt collector on me for $20
So this morning I get a text that I only have $21.49 remaining with Ola Cabs. I ring and spoke to a rude man at eCollect who stated I owed this amount for a trip in 2018. I have heard nothing from the company this whole time. I vaguely remember stopping using them as my card was low and they then disallowed my card, instead of just waiting a day or two and trying to deduct the money again, or allowing me to pay with another card. So the app was unusable. And why wait two years to follow this up? How about you call me and resolve it immediately. What a disgusting company. Because of your crap app that doesn't work. Stick with Aussie companies. Keep your money in Australia. Def wont use Ola again now you can bet on that.

Overcharged and poor complaint management
I went to order my Ola and it said it ranged, more or less the midpoint being $75. Logically so I chose to ride with Ola as another ridesharing app was showing $93. When my ride ended I was charged $101!!! There is no way I would have accepted if this was the case. Bad experience
I cant recommend ola service - never more. Confused, arrogant and their car arent under controls - I think safety. One time smell cigarettes inside car. One driver called me, where I am, when I ordered and waiting on him, I dont know why - drivers are from Lebanese (not willing), my experience - old cars and dont safety - never more.

Speaking from experience, DO NOT USE Ola, especially if you are a young woman. I made a formal complaint with the company regarding a driver TOUCHING me, and they did next to nothing. I chased them for an update on the drivers case. PLEASE do not use this service. Please do not think saving a few dollars is worth it. BE careful. AVOID Ola. Think of safety FIRST.

Over charged. Very annoyed
I was recommended to use this instead of Uber apparently it was cheaper. I was charged $52 for a 21 minute drive with no traffic. I am honestly shocked. Can’t believe it ... very upset with this. I made a complaint on the app and none contacted me.

Overcharged, no response
Final fare was more than the maximum fare quoted when booking. No response despite several attempts to contact them. Unnecessarily toll road route was also taken without consultation from the driver.

It is a pathetic service. I took Ola from the airport and the fare of $58 has been deducted from my card . However i got more deduction of $76 and the transaction says Temp hold which i understand is a temporarily hold one but my question is if you have already charged me then what is the point of holding a bigger amount than the fare?

Hi Cheryl, the temporary authorisation hold is based on the fare estimate and held at the time of booking. This amount is released on Ola's end as soon as the ride is complete - when the actual fare is charged. However, depending on your bank it can take a few days for the temporary hold to be removed. The $76 should be released shortly. I would like to have opinion about my hectic ola rides. I got the worst experience ever with a racist, rude, lunetic man driving BMW, name is Neil Cowin.
I have experienced racism before, but I've never kicked out from the car in heavy rain and flood area water till my ankles, and the reason was I can scratch the expensive car with my hand bag zip.
1 hour later another try and boom, same guy with middle finger and moves on, it's still raining and price for waiting for nothing.
I could only record kicking me out part, but I would like to go to police for the hectic words before.
