Doesn't work
The tap is supposed to swivel and stay at right, left or centre. It doesn't. It stays in the centre of my twin sinks which is absolutely useless. Would not buy again!!

unprofessional
Oliveri, if you make 3 way tap and inline filter and sell them separately, then make it very clear in the manual the type and size of every connection and pipe so customer who wanna use other filter with your tap or other tap with your filer know if they fit each other or not and what kind of adaptors needed.
If your tap only fits your filter as designed, then sell them together as a whole product and make it clear as well.

No good.
I had a new kitchen installed with what i thought was a top quality tap that was expensive. It was a lemon from day one!! After many emails, phone calls, videos, photos and technicians visiting.... after 9 long disappointing weeks it finally got replaced. Dont waste your money on these products. There are better ones out there that i am now going to repace my tap with!!!

Don’t be fooled
WARNING !! Do not be fooled into thinking these products are top quality by this company’s high price tag and glossy brochure. The black coating on this tap is coming off only 7 MONTHS after installation. They called it “FAIR WEAR AND TEAR”. We are two adults who work full time and have a dishwasher so “fair wear and tear “ is a very poor excuse to brush our complaints aside and not respond to further emails. Essente - New Tap Faulty Cartridge
I had an Oliveri Essente tap installed in my brand new laundry and unfortunately my brand new tap was leaking - the Cartridge in the mixer body was cracked. I was not happy and believed the tap should be replaced.
However Oliveri sent out a new part and the plumber fixed it a few days after. Hopefully, this doesn't happen to another Customer.

Oliveri ES580-P swivel mixer tap
This tap has, in my opinion, a basic design problem . If the ring at the base of the tap fits snuggly, then once the fixing nut underneath the bench is tightened all swivelling ceases. My plumber has had the same problem with the same tap before. Installation should be straightforward and is until you try tightening the tap to the bench. Should be a simple fix at production level and cannot believe the problem has not been addressed or instructions reviewed. A brand I will definitely not be ever buying again.
Purchased in June 2021.

Love this tap
I love this tap and ended up purchasing the additional water filtration system to go with it. The tap is perfect for our large kitchen sink and the ability to pull the tap down to clean vegetables ect, also great for cleaning the corners of the sink. I brought this tap to replace a Brita tap and water filtration system. The Brita system had very poor water flow when using the water filtration system. This Oliveri tap has great water flow and remains very reasonable when using the filter cold water. It is perfect for my larger sink but not sure if it would be overkill for a small sink.

Not fit for purpose
We purchased two Oliveri Mito Right Angle Brushed Mixer Taps (MT0039B) for $600 each – one from Reece and one from Harvey Norman as part of our recent renovation. They looked amazing but within a day we knew we had made an expensive mistake. The high drop of the water means that water constantly splashes everywhere. Essentially these taps are not fit for purpose. They look great, but they do not function to an acceptable level. Within two week the plumber was back to take the taps out and we’re now putting them on Gumtree. We were basically told it’s a case of buyer beware. So future buyers – beware!

Hi Adamf,
We are sorry to hear about your experience.
All our taps come with an aerator built in to help eliminate splashing. Naturally, however, the height of the tap will mean there is going to be some extra splashing compared to a lower tap.

Utter Garbage!
Purchased the Oliveri ES580-P mixer tap in December last year and it was installed by a license plumber in January. This is the worst kitchen mixer tap we have ever had. Installation was problematic in terms of tightening fitments. It will not swivel unless physically held (possibly due to the internal hose). It eventually leaked damaging cabinetry underneath. Have since had the plumber back but fully anticipate the problem to re-occur at later date. Can’t believe we gave up a trouble free smooth operating tap in our old sink for this.

Your tap ware is garbage
4 years ago we had our kitchen upgraded, the night it was finished we heard a leaking sound of water spraying. We looking under the cupboards to see the tap had blowen an O ring and was spraying all over under the cupboards. Needless to say cupboards swelled and were ruined. Had to have it all repaired. You lot didn't take ownership of your faults, just told us to lower our water pressure so the tap won't be under pressure. 20 years we had taps that never gave us trouble, your crap fitted and nothing but. Don't bother with this over priced tap
Very expensive tapware. They fixed my initial problem as it was under warranty however now the tap is all 'chewed' out where it meets the sink & they've said its out of warranty. I understand that however when you're paying hundreds for a tap you expect it to last. The sink is no better. The metal plugs provided leaked from the get go & I'm constantly screwing them back together. Altogether disappointed with quality, function & service. My original Caroma bathroom taps are 20 years old & have lasted better.

not happy with it.
we purchased a Oliveri Minto (MT0272B) mixer for our new kitchen and after 6 months have had to have it replaced under warranty, it developed a crack between the hot and cold water inside the tap, they did replace it with a new tape but the new tape is just as pore quality, its not leaking but the handle is constantly loose and needs re tightening. i expect better quality from a $600 tape.

Oliveri Mito tap - why support an Australian company?
I recently did a total kitchen reno. Being one of the few surviving Australian manufacturers in existence, I wanted to support Oliveri so I bought one of their sinks and a tap (Mito MT0039). When the plumber installed the tap, it immediately started leaking from a hairline crack on the inside of the right angle bend (did I get Claire's reject?). The flow rate was also pretty ordinary - the specs sheet states 7.0 L/min but we're only getting 4.5 (and no, it's not the water pressure). I immediately contacted Oliveri about arranging a replacement,...Read more
however, it's now a month down the track and I'm still waiting for their plumber to turn up. I did follow up about two weeks ago but was informed that the plumber hadn't received the tap yet. So, while Oliveri taps are manufactured in Italy (the sinks are made here), am I to assume that they don't have a single tap of this model in the country right now? It appears from the amount of time it's taking, that they are waiting for the tap to arrive from Italy. So I really have to ask, what's the point of supporting an Australian company when you have to wait this long to get any service? PS. I must add that the sink is fine (so far).1 comment

t time, then sending another wrong tap the second time, you'd try a little harder with the third attempt. Wrong. Rather than use an overnight courier to try to salvage any shred of reputation left, Oliveri still let me wait 4 weeks for a tap that was supposed to be coming from a warehouse somewhere in Victoria. What kind of courier takes 4 weeks to get an item from Victoria to Brisbane? Throughout all of this debacle, the Oliveri service person was not phased at all and not interested in offering any sort of recompense or explanation for this monumental stuff-up. Save yourselves a lot of stress - don't buy from this mob. They deserve to go out of business.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Don't buy this tap
We purchased this tap through an online retailer for $597.00. Less than 2 months after installation by a licenced plumber it started leaking. We contacted the online retailer who told us to contact Oliveri direct, which we did. Oliver sent out a plumber with a new cartridge which he inserted, but the tap still leaked. 2 weeks later another plumber with a new tap arrives, he installs the tap, turns it on and immediately water is leaking thorough the neck of the tap as there is a hairline crack in it. Another 2 weeks later the plumber arrives again with another new tap, inserts it and finally no more leaks. I wonder how long it will last!! Do yourself a favour and don't buy this tap.

Top Notch Engineering At A Reasonable Price
Our poor Hansa mixer tap seized up and started to come loose after a couple of years, plus it never had enough water output to properly run our sink disposal unit. So off to Harvey Norman's we went to have a look at a replacement. Oliveri was a brand I'd never heard of before so I was a little suspicious, especially considering the "Essentials" range is their poverty pack. You know how when you sit in a well made (usually German) car, you can just feel the quality? Well that's what it was like when we operated the Olivetti tap. It's solid,...Read more
smooth and very, very well made, and that's just their base model. Harvey Normans had it on special at under $300 so we grabbed one. We've had it about three months now and it is just superb. At a flow rate of 8 litres/min it's not "water saving" but at washing up time, it fills our sink in next to no time. It operates our sink disposal the way it was supposed to. The gooseneck has no free play yet glides smoothly and easily into position. The mixer handle is also smooth and simple to work. I love our new tap and expect it to operate well for many years. If I had my choice again - I'd choose a different model with a brushed finish. The chrome finish shows the dirt a lot more.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great but only for a short time
Bought this tap when we remodeled our kitchen,(got the same brand sink as well, no issues with that yet), tap was fine and working well for about two years but extending hose piece has been leaking into cupboard underneath and we didn't realize. Replacement part can't be purchased and now we need whole new tap. Won't be buying this again.

Spray is weak, hose retraction is stubborn, tap turning is too loose.
The spray mode is not a hard spray, its more of a shower - very weak. This is not good if you intend on using this for spraying down dishes before putting them in washing machine, or spraying to clean dishes\pots\tupperware\drink bottles.
When you turn the tap a specific direction - it turns slightly back the other way as if it is not tight enough, yet there is no way to adjust this tightness.
As other reviews mention, the hose does not pull out or retract well, making it difficult to use, so you end up not using it.
There is a reason this i...Read more

Good until plumbers ruined it!
I installed this tap myself. It worked well until a plumber working in the house ruined the collar which fits under the tap to sit it on the sink. It never worked well again. Prior to that, the spray and the jet were excellent and the tap retracted well, with some assistance. There is a weight to help the hose retract, but you do need to help it a bit with a push. Yes it is difficult to change from spray to jet while the tap is on, but it was a simple click to change it when the tap was off. I think it's a good tap for the price, but the retraction system could be improved.

We have an Oliveri Essential mixer tap over the sink. It is about 2 years old and was installed by a plumber. The tap has leaked around the base of the top handle that determines the level of hot or cold water required. This has occurred since installation. In addition the tap now appears to be partially seized and the mixer handle is tight and difficult to move. Any ideas how to relieve these problems?

How can I tighten the mixer on a Oliveri ES585-P tap. We just fitted it over the weekend which came with the Oliveri sink but it doesn't stay in one spot when you move the nozzle to either sink. It just keeps swinging back to the middle. There is a lot of play in the mixer which doesn't look right.

There should be a large hex nut under the sink which tightens on a collar in the base of the unit. Once you have tightened that there should be 2 screws underneath as well which you screw till tight. The system on Dorf mixers is MUCH simpler.
Once I removed the sink again and checked the mixer, I realised it was my stuff up. I tightened it correctly and all good now.
