Hello Ayare, better late than never :)
Here is a comparison of the Optimum 600 vs the Kuvings: https://froothie.co.uk/optimum-600-vs-kuvings-b6000-comparison/
You might be also interested in the Optimum 600M. The Optimum 600M Cold Press Juicer is our newest Cold Press Juicer, that extracts considerably more juice compared to the traditional juicers. Its low speed of 40-45 RPM reduces the loss of nutrients caused by oxidation and increases nutrient absorption. It allows you to make fresh-squeezed fruit/vegetable juices, green juices, soy milk and tofu, milkshakes, baby food, and so much more! Nobody likes pulp and residue, so we’ve cut the strainer out of the equation. With our built-in straining design, the auger handles the dirty job – no scrubbing involved!
Thanks to the Optimum 600M, clean up just became so much easier! And now I am happy to inform you that it also comes with a new ice cream/sorbet strainer!

Just got an Optimum 600 a few days ago. It's been pretty good with carrots, apples, oranges, tomatoes, pears and cucumbers. However, the juicer screeches (and i really do mean screeches) really loudly when i juice celery and kale, even after I've cut it up into smaller pieces. Is there something wrong with my juicer?
3 answers
I can't say I had that problem with kale or celery. I did find it made a louder noise with apples and carrots. So even though it can take them whole, to protect my juicer, I cut the apples in half, and split the carrots length ways. They go through much easier, and I would assume puts a lot less stress on the motor.
The most important thing is to not put through all of one vegetable, and then all of another etc.
I prepare all of my produce, and put it on a big tray, and then every time I feed something in, I choose a different item next. It makes a big difference.
Hope this helps.
Hi, It shouldn't be screeching, that's not right. Shouldn't have to cut apples or carrots either. Are you letting them just drop in and crush, you don't need to push them down.
If it continues email support, they are really helpful. Good luck.

Hello ayare, better late than never :) I hope this has already been resolved. Just in case you have any further questions I wanted to let you know that unlike other cold press juicers, the Optimum 600 is a whole mouth slow juicer able to juice large pieces of vegetables and greens without cutting. This means that the larger auger (black juicing screw) will be crushing large quantities of ingredients.
Due to this reason, the Optimum 600 may sometimes make a loud noise caused by the contents being crushed. This can happen more often with large leafy greens and will always occur with large-mouth cold press juicers.
If the juicer is making a loud screeching/piercing noise, please open a ticket with our warranty support https://www.froothieinternational.com/warranty.php so we can diagnose the issue further.
Hope that helps

I get a lot of pulp in my juice, regardless of what I'm juicing. Carrots are among the worst. My juice is also very foamy - again, it doesn't matter what I juice, there's always loads of foam.
I strained one juice through muslin and about 30% of the total volume of the juice had been pulp. It doesn't seem right to me, but I'm not very familiar with juicing, so I don't know whether this is normal.
I don't know if this is normal, or whether my Optimum 600 is faulty?

Hi . I haven't noticed a lot of foam, compared to my other juicer I used to have. Some foam would happen coz it's just air getting into the liquid. I find this settles if I let the juice settle for a few minutes. I get barely any foam with juicing veggies. In regards to the pulp...well, my old juicer took everything away from the veg or fruit, and just left liquid. This kind of juicer, in my opinion, essentially squashes the fruit or veg. So whilst some people wouldn't define it as pulp, some would. It's like tiny tiny bits of the fruit or veg. For example, when I juice carrots, if I let the liquid settle, maybe around a quarter of the volume would be this pulp. However, I usually use a straw and keep mixing this around. From what you describe, I don't think your juicer is faulty. I think it's the mechanism of how it juices, and a matter of getting used to the juice it produces. Hope this information helps.
Hi Rose, I don't think your juicer is faulty. Foam is quite normal, and doesn't affect the juice. If you are getting a lot of pulp, it should be fine, and can be strained away if you prefer a pure liquid drink. I find I get quite a lot of pulp from beetroot, and if I juice pineapple, I get a lot of pulp and foam. The only way you will get NO pulp is to use a hydraulic press juicer, which is very expensive and slow. I usually just pour my juices through a large strainer, and use a spoon to squeeze all extra juice from the pulp and then add the left over to my compost heap. Hope this helps, but keep up the juicing as the benefits are amazing.
Thank you both - I'm relieved to hear that it's normal with this kind of juicer. Will keep on happily juicing, with no worries now :)

I am in the middle of making juices to freeze for next week. I've had to clean it halfway through as the auger part is quite blocked up. Now I'm unable to get the auger back on properly. It was really difficult to remove and I'm unsure if a part is missing and possibly flew off when I removed the auger. I've rung Froothie but they are not there at weekends and I've looked on the internet. It's really hard to find out the problem as no instruction manual supplied with my juicer. Can anyone help or know where I could find a picture of the bottom of the auger so I can see if everything is as it should be? Many thanks
