Pretty much useless
I purchased the medium and large sleep ones. Measurement said to get medium but didnt block out even the tiniest of noise. I then purchased the large which is realy hard to get in my ears. I can still hear everything with the large and all conversations but it takes away the edge of high pitch sounds.

Ear plugs don’t work
These ear plugs barely block sound. I get better results covering my ears with my hands than I do with these ear plugs. I could still hear conversations from the street. They also started to hurt my inner ears after about 5-10 minutes. Don’t be fooled by the nice case it comes in. Fooled me.
Purchased in August 2021 at Priceline for A$16.99.

No good
Virtually no effect, could still hear everything almost as clearly as before. My own voice was a bit muffled, but that was the only difference. Testing them out I could still have normal conversations with people across the room, save your money.

Best product so far
I bought the Good Sleep buds over a month ago and I must say they are the best thing ever. My husband snore like anything and keeps me awake and wakes me but since I have been using the buds I sleep like a baby and sleep through the night. These are amazing

Not an Australian standard Dba, be very aware!
I put them onto my ears hoping for some peace, I waited for about 5 minutes for my good sleep to mould into my ears, then I realised that I could still hear everything, there was a slight muffling effect, so I put my cheap 95 cent foam ear plugs in and I found that the cheap foam ear plugs were way more effective. I don’t know how people say they can’t hear their dog snoring whilst using these otifleks plugs, I just don’t know how. I’m very dissatisfied and the worst part is that once the deal is broken there is no refund in them. Beware the SNR 30 is not an Australian standard it’s a European standard and is definitely not the same as the Australian standard of 25 Dba rating, please be very aware of this.

What a difference!
I have a dog that snores like an old man and always sleep with foam ear plugs. I gave these a go and was amazed! I keep checking that the dog is still alive because I cannot hear him at all. A little bit painful when getting them out is the only issue. I bought the normal ones, not sure what the difference is with the women's ones.

Best night's sleep in a very long time
The first night I wore these ear plugs was the best night's sleep that I have had in over 30 years of marriage due to my husband's snoring. They can be a little tricky to insert & remove properly but once you get that they are wonderful. My only problem is that my dog loves to eat them, even when they are in their case.

Didn't do anything!!
I had the same issue as many others. It just didn't seem to block hardly any noise at all!! I also bought a pack of the slimfit soft foam plugs and they worked soooo much better!!! And half the cost!!

Expensive mistake
Don't block out even the rustle of leaves outside. Tried inserting them differently many times but simply don't work. Pharmacy assistant helped with sizing and wouldn't risk another $16 to try another size. Feel ripped off.

The sizing guide is a bit off
I bought the medium sized women's sleep Otifleks (pink ones) and they were way too small, even though they were the recommended size according to the size chart. These are good ear plugs if you push them tightly enough so they form a seal, but I do find that they move a bit and become dislodged occasionally. They do hurt a bit because I have to wedge them in so hard to get them to fully seal. I found the best size guide here: http://www.snorestore.co.uk/acatalog/Otifleks-Earplugs-Sizing-Guide.html

Don't Work
This ear plug does not work as well as the previous model. They are made from a different compound (harder) and the second rib is not is wide as the previous model therefore a lot more sound gets through. Additionally, they tend to work their way out of the ear while sleeping.

Lifesaver
I just moved in to an apartment on a busy street with terrible soundproofing. I honestly didn't know what to do, I am a light sleeper and thought I was going to have to break my lease and lose thousands of dollars. I picked these earplugs up simply because they were the most expensive, and I knew I needed something good- headphones, pillows, and music had done nothing to dull the noise the previous night.
Admittedly they're tricky to get in and if you don't get it right they can hurt quite a bit. I had to try 5-6 times to get it right- you ...Read more
can feel when they're in properly. But once you get them in properly, they work. Last night I didn't hear a single car or plane except for one particularly loud hoon, it also blocked out my partners snoring which has been an issue for years. I did feel they digging in at weird angles a few times and had to wiggle them around, but I'm sure this will improve as I get used to putting them in. Anyone who says these don't work, I urge you to make sure you've got the right size and that you're inserting them correctly. It's no exaggeration to say that these have changed my life.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Cannot get earplug out of ear!!
Needed lots of adjustment to block out noise and in the morning the little tag to help pull them out broke off. Never has this problem with foam plugs. I wouldn't recommend. As well as easy to insert there should be no trouble with removal!

Life changer
I can't believe others have said "disappointing". These earplugs have revolunitionized my life - no more having to sleep in another room - they are super comfortable, don't fall out as easily as the almost useless foam ones and they work - don't hesitate, get some is what I say.

So Disapointing
I was on a teams sports trip, which meant shared rooms for the duration of my stay. We had a big snorer in our room of four and after one night of zero sleep I went on the hunt for ear plugs. I saw these Good Sleep ones on the shelf next to the foam ones and thought these have to be better. There's a sizing ring on the outside that helps you get the right fit so I grabbed a pair and paid $12 for them.
They did not live up to their own hype, they let in all the noise. $12 wasted and another night of sleeplessness. I bought $2 foam ones the next day and they weren't perfect but an improvement.

Does not live up to its name
I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair ear plugs for years so when I came across of good sleep ear plugs I just had to get it. I had assistance from the pharmacy assistant to find me the right size. My first time using these we're terrible as they did not fit my ears. I could hear everything so there was no noise cancellation at all. They did nothing and did not live up to the name. Very disappointed and expensive.

Wouldn't recommend
As these earplugs were the most expensive instore I figured they would be an upgrade from the regular foam ones
– but disappointingly these barely blocked any sound at all, not sure what the point of them is? They were the right fit and comfortable, although I found wetting them slightly quite strange.

I thought I was disappointed too, but in the end I'm really happy with these!
I bought a pair of these earplugs and was very much looking forward to enjoying using them. They didn't block any noise and when I pushed them in far enough to do so I was near panic in the morning trying to remove them. I'd had a peaceful sleep nonetheless so was very eager for a solution. I checked into the sizing and it seems I just needed a larger size. So I went from a medium to a large, played with the fit a bit, including moistening them with a bit of water. These earplugs are trickier than the run of the mill foam or plug type to use bu...Read more
t it are definitely worth the effort. I have the soft ladies' version "Ladybuds" and find they block just the right amount of noise for a peaceful rest while still allowing me to hear the morning alarm. I had thought I would be trying out different types of earplugs in my quest to find the best. Now I'm convinced my next set will be another pair of Ladybuds. Thanks, Otifleks.Similar opinion? Questions & Answers
Valasked
I purchased Otfleks silicone ear plugs for a flight overseas as my friend recommended them after she used them in flight, I have just read on your instructions that they are not suitable for flight travel. Can you please advise me on this and why they are not recommended for flights as my friend always uses them. Thank you Val
1 answer
They rely on a vacuum effect, when you push them into your ears the first flang pushes out air from your ear canal and then the second flang pushes out the remainder then that huge bulb at the end literally gets sucked into the ear canal due to the vacuum effect, it stands to reason that the pressure up there in a flight would be too much and probably cause them to be sucked into your ear too much causing great discomfort. I thought I’d answer this since no one else from otifleks has to this point, I don’t work for them, but I’ve purchased a pair which I was unhappy with and I’ve written to the local supplier who never responded, It’s possible that they don’t to respond to their paying customers???
