looking for a bargain - always look here first
Always look here for a bargain before making any 'serious' purchase, unless you like spending more than you need to.

Aussie online community
I've been using the site for a few years, and it's probably the only corner of the internet I've found that feels really Australian (apart from r/Australia of course). Great community, a lot of regulars and people who just enjoy being on the site. Deals are usually unprecedentedly good value, or a kind of freebie, but unfortunately not both. Quality of deals seems to result from their being evaluated with a kind of peer-review process, performed by a high volume of members but overseen by moderators. Very good site.

I agree
I registered and posted a few deals even answered some Forum questions about Sydney.
Pay post last Sunday was my last.I had posted about a deal I saw and using my mobile phone to write and post I made a few spelling mistakes and typed a double "tt" on the word "get".
So a few posters replied to my deal by belittling me about my spelling .
One even used a racist type slur against my user name which I found offensive so I replied back to them in a nasty way only to be banned, well I don't care, their loss.
I think a lot of the people on there must be on Disability Pensions or have a lot of time on their hands to be able to sit and write nasty childish replies to other posters.
Honestly how would they fit the time in and why bother ?

My first place to stop when looking for some thing I need, or a lot of the times I don't need ha ha
Awesome bargains on this site, and great community involvement. People will let you know when something is not as good a deal as you might otherwise think it is.

Fits the brief of bargain discovery website
The other reviews are not fair on this community based website. I had lurked there for a long time before signing up to post a deal. The standards as to what constitutes a bargain are fairly high but that is exactly how the members like it. If you think you're going to get a brilliant reception by posting free shipping on your drop ship electronics business then you're going to have a bad time.

Worst Posting/Forum Site!
Everyone on that site attack you when you post a deal. People are actually scared to post on the site because of these tight ass freaks. I got accused of sock sockpuppeting even though my post was genuine. The moderators put you in the penalty box straight away and don't respond for days, and sometimes weeks. The moderators treat you like crap when you have contributed quality deals and your time.
Don't use this site! You deserve better! Don't be treated like rubbish!

Rant site
A lot of ranting and raving on this site. good to find a bargain, but very sceptical about some of the things that people say on there, plus I am not sure if all the accounts are genuine. While I love a bargaing there seems to be a lot of penny pinching bottom feeding going on within the site, and the things people think are a bargain can just be checked on goold.
Cheap
Noise, Rants, unverified witch burning. The Community are just way to cheap and skip the importance

As good as the Product Review site!
In the same way that I think this site is great for reviews on various products, this community site lists links to heaps of current sales and promotions from the web, TV and newspapers in Australia. All submissions are made by individuals who are just trying to help each other out. I've bought over a dozen things so far from different promotions and haven't been disappointed. The website address is: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/.
Great for cheap buys and you don't have to join to use it.
It lists items according to votes so you might miss out on a great promotion if it's not popular with the general public. To overcome this you need to check all categories on a regular basis.

Has anyone been put in the penalty box even after getting pre approval for a classifieds post and asking if it was ok and getting a positive answer?
