Don't bother trying to warn fellow users if a deal looks more like a scam than a bargain. It's infested with bullies who squash dissent.

This site is being increasingly overrun by Chinese-based stores offering low priced items disguised as bargains when they're indeed the RRP. The community blindly upvote posts from these Chinese retailers, under the impression they are getting a bargain (eg. item reduced from $4 to $1) despite it being the same price on the likes of eBay, while downvoting any individual whoo dissents from this view and exposes the blatant spam.

Would recommend looking elsewhere as the site has gone significantly downhill from being a bargain site to posting 'deals' that are in fact RRp.

OzBargain might be good for passive shoppers but watch out if you post any deals you find. Mean and rude members will tear you into pieces when all you want to do is share a deal you found. For this reason I've stopped sharing any deals because I cannot stand the mean members who do nothing but complain and scold you. A discount site for rude people.

This is the best website for finding bargain. Not only can you search by the top deals, you can also search for a particular item. I have found most of my Christmas presents for less than half of retail price on this website. Strongly recommend.

For someone passive who just go in to view the specials, this is a good site. The site has a strong community that people will update what are the local specials. I don't post anything but it seems like the site has strict rules of posting and like most online medium, some of the active users might make mean remarks for those postings. I also don't recommend that you subscribe to the daily mailing list unless you don't mind your mailbox flooded with the same-ish specials

I have made a post following their guidelines and following how other people post. That was my very first post.
They placed me into a Penalty box FOREVER. No warning, nothing. And because I am in that penalty box, I am not even allowed to talk to a moderator to know the reasons.

Many deal breakers are found on here although it is sometimes very difficult for you to miss out some unbelievable deals if you only look at the home page because many others would snatch it before it even gets to you. Also sometimes you think you are saving by buying at a cheap price but you are actually spending a lot of money.
I would recommend only for the free products or ones that are below 100

Its nice website. All online and store deals are available up to date. This website is the 1st place to look for all deals.

Been visiting this sight for 4 years now and can see significant change in the direction the website is headed. People in that community take things too personal. You can see all types of Internet trolls there from keyboard crusaders to bullies. At times it can be very intimidating to involve in a conversation. A simple joke can turn into your worst nightmare. These days I only visit the website for occational good deals but don't involve in the conversation much.

As per title, one of the best website to check for bargains for all type of stuff - from electronics to flight tickets to ebay products.

Was searching for a DJI drone and was directed to Ozbargain as a place to go for the best price. In actual fact it is just a sad community of keybaord warriors who never buy anything but trawl the internet for cheap products oblivious to the fact that they are shipped from China without a valid Asutralian warranty and then try and push them on those looking for a genuine bargain. Would easily catch the less aware out who would part with their hard earned wages and recieve a fake/inferior product. The owner/regulators should be ashamed.

OzBargain is a great tool for spending money wisely. As with so many things it gets more rewarding once you know your way around and explore all the nooks and crannies. The forums are helpful, so is the option to sign up for email alerts for specials you care about especially.

In all honesty, the site is OK, it's more of a forum with som deals that are posted.many deals are often so limited or in short supply that you will miss out regardless. Then you have the issue of professional shoppers, those that buy out a supply of something only to re-sell it on ebay or elsewhere swallowing up what stock is left.Best tactic is to watch for ALL deals, not just those that make the homepage as some genuinely good stuff flies under the radar. Also watch the affiliate links, make sure you click the word "Affiliate" then "Direct Link" to deprive the site of it's shared revenue. *evilgrin*
