How do you open the steamer lid in the 4in1? We have pieces of meat inside and cant find a way to open the lid. TIA

Philips S.Philips Avent
Hi Rowdy,
Thanks for your question. The plastic part fitting may be tight at first usage, but rest assured. This is normal due to the material characteristics. The opening of the blender will become smooth after several times of use. Just try opening the blender like usually. If this doesn't help, feel free to reach out to our team on the phone. You can contact us on 1300 363 391 (AU) or 0800 658 224 (NZ).

Marina M.asked
Hello, I have 4in1 model. Everytime after steaming (no matter the time or the food), when I turn the jar upside down for the blending option, excess water leaks into the jar. Is that normal?
1 answer
Philips S.Philips Avent
Hi Marina.
Thanks for your question. It is actually quite normal for a bit of water to get in the jar when turning it upside down. This is simply steam that is released from the products you're steaming, so it's perfectly safe. Hopefully this helps. :)

Hello Avent.. My 4in1 steamer blender has carrot stains esp in the lid cover... how can i remove it? Thank you
1 answer
Philips S.Philips Avent
Hello Ryan,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. How odd! Carrot stains can be pretty difficult to remove. The dishwasher didn't do the trick? We would recommend to let it soak for a while in hot soapy water, or in hot water with baking soda. We'll cross our fingers for you!

Philips S.Philips Avent
Hi Reshma,
Thanks for reaching out about this. We can certainly appreciate that you'd like to keep this steamer as clean as you can. We only recommend mild detergents, as a strong detergent might be able to damage the components. You can find our recommended cleaning instructions on this page: https://philips.to/2GAxfZu. Natasked
Hi,
I have a Philips Steamer blender and while it’s very helpful, off late the steaming function only keeps beeping every 1 minutes. The food still gets steamed but the annoying noise comes on atleast 10-15 times during the steaming session. Is the machine trying to tell me something?
1 answer
Philips S.Philips Avent
Hi Nat, thanks for reaching out about this. Very often the reason this steamer will start beeping, is when there's just a bit to much food in the jar. We would recommend taking some out and trying again. If that doesn't work, please do reach out to us on 1300 363 391 (AU) or on 0800 224 658 (NZ). We'd be happy to see how we can help you further.

Hi. We have a baby cook and love it. However food blender has a base that does not seem to be able to be removed and gets food in it which is going mouldy and smelly. How do you clean this? Thanks
1 answer
Philips S.Philips Avent
Hi Simon. Thank you for your question. Great to hear you love the Avent steamer and blender! You're correct this part isn't removable. You might be able to clean it by letting it soak in hot soapy water. We recommend rinsing every part that gets in contact with food right after usage, to make sure no residue builds up. If this didn't do the trick, please feel free to contact our support team so that we can look into alternative solutions for you: https://bit.ly/2wukcTf. Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team.
