I rang Plumbfirst to fix a leak from the solar panel. All I wanted is to disconnect the solar and reconnect my hotwater to the Gas line.
1. Plumber point blankly said it couldn't be done
2. Sold a new unit for $2850 and paid $850 as deposit.
3. Installed a temporary Unit until the new one is fixed the next day.
Spoke to my brother who said Plumbfirst has taken me for a ride as the solar can be disconnected and that is the cheapest option if my hotwater unit is working well.
Then decided to check with other plumbers and rang 3 plumbers and all ...
The job was done by Blaine to our satisfaction and within the price and time quoted. The attitude of our technician was great, he kept us informed of the job progress and was easy ti communicate with. I wiukd recommend to other clients.

These guys have their business model set up correctly. From the very beginning from booking to fixing the problem they were the ultimate professional. They are fast to come out and reliable. They called 30 mins before arrival and when at the job they were very thorough in their diagnostic. Speaking with E and M you can tell they knew their stuff. At no point did they rush and ensured all possible solutions were checked out. As a result of going with these guys I saved thousands as previous plumber recommended the system needed to be changed and These guys were able to fix it for a couple of hundred. Also no call out fee is charged upfront. Ill definitely only use these guys going forward. Thank you Plumb First.
Freddy was so professional at his job very polite lm very happy customer

Great experience if you have to call a plumber. Very comfortable to be around and knew exactly what to do. Professional, on time and very friendly. Highly recommended! Thank you Matt, Lockie and the team.
Very detailed and professional, they know what they’re doing. Will happily recommend.
The Plumbfirst team did a great job of a major installation at our home and in quick time. Tyson James Joel and Johnny were all very helpful and approachable and left the area clean and tidy, even spreading the soil over the grass in backyard and washing the paving. Thank you guys I would recommend you to our friends.

We asked them to help to install a new water heater for us.
They quoted $3500 including installation.
We trusted and signed and paid $1500 as deposit.
After 8 mins i received another quote same details by $2100 and I cancelled my order.
Technician was in our house and I requested to cancel and refund my money
They charged my $350 for cancelation!!!
As a local business we never make money by this way.
I called their office why the money is not refunded yet and she was rude and hanged up the phone.
I'm not recommending them at all.
My invoice number: 22797
No one started to do dismantling anything
This is a lie
Within 8 minutes who can manage all of these....
Amir,
PlumbFirst's policies and procedures are fair and just. This will be our final response on this forum.

Compare best PlumbersThanks to Josh L who came out late in the afternoon to install a new hot water unit and stayed until after dark to complete the work. Explained what was involved and cleaned up afterwards. Good job.

Rhianna and Josh L attended to replace a blocked drain, and dispite it seeming to be a straightforward job, it was a little more complicated. Rhianna attended on the first day, she was on time and went about the job in an efficient and friendly manner, (dispite the miserable weather) however the complications of the job required that on day 2 more people had to attend. Josh L and Rhianna completed the job, and we're happy to explain what the job had entailed, the area was left clean and tidy. I'm no plumber but I believe the job was completed efficiently. Thanks Josh and Rhianna.
VERY EXPENSIVE QUOTE for various heating systems ideas - one of which we ultimately selected via another local plumbing company, who was able to remove/dispose of old system and fully install new system within 24hr window from initial quote... And the final invoice was 45% cheaper. Relieved we did our due diligence and shopped around.
Hello Sammy,
Thank you for your feedback. Would you be happy to send us the quotation to compare? Although we like to compete on service not price that is a very big difference. Kind Regards, The PlumbFirst Team
Jesse and Josh have saved me and provided exceptional service! An unexpected burst pipe leaking into my house and broken water mains had me panicked, but they were there so quickly, when they said they would be, helped with south eastern water, were kind and patient and fixed things efficiently, organised an electrician and then swapped out my old hot water system the next day- a Saturday. Truly grateful and 100% recommend :)

Mat V and Chloe did an excellent job keeping us informed, took care of all our concerns and went above and beyond to take care and treat the install as if it was their own.
Overall very happy with the result and works a charm.
Many thanks for all your help and advice.

Plumbfirst are good at taking advantage of an emergency repair. Always good to get 2nd or 3rd quotes. I got them to install a vulcan freeloader 135lt on Saturday $2474.00. Could not finish as gas test showed minor leak. Quoted to replace gal pipes from meter to house and 3 appliances (hwu, heating & stove) $5890.00. Seemed pushy as I was in state of urgent repair as gas is to be turned off, no heating(cold nights), cooking nor hot water. But plumbfirst did supply temp hwu 50lt (must be billed in quoted price for hwu). Decided to get more quotes...
Read more Monday and got other plumber for $4500.00 and could have saved hundreds more for same hwu and they offered to finish install of hwu at no extra. And they didn't have to rip up my brick pavers as plumbfirst were going to do and not put them back cos they're not landscapers nor bricklayers but neither am l and l laid them down.Good Afternoon Edc,
PlumbFirst provide a premium emergency service. It is not our aim to be the cheapest in the marketplace. As you described above we ensured you had hot water for the weekend. Very u...

Jared and Lachlan arrived on time after a courtesy phone call to let me know they were on their way. Very efficient job completed in the time specified. Jared kept me updated throughout the day and both young men were polite and cleaned the area afterwards. Very pleased with the job and would definitely recommend & use again for future maintenance work. Tregan, who did the initial quote was also extremely professional & helpful.
I thought my problem was too big
A blocked pipe under the concrete driveway
But no job was to big for Freddy who managed the job with precision and then johnny who finalized everything,, great job.

Joe arrived perfectly on time and took the time to assess the job prior to setting about fixing it. Joe talked me through in simple terms the issue and put in place a solution so that we now have our warm toasty home again. What is clear is Joe knows his stuff and is a thorough professional. Thank you Joe and it was nice to meet you.

Do not use this company! They are dishonest and untrustworthy. I accepted a quote to have work done in my bathroom which at the time I thought was reasonable. On the day of installation the plumber arrived with some different taps not what I had requested and said nothing. When I questioned him he said they weren’t available. Had I not noticed he would have proceeded to install them. I allowed him to install the toilet, towel rail, toilet roll holder and the vanity basin which I didn’t realise wasn’t the one I had asked for. The vanity is 3cms...
Read more smaller than the original so there is a gap at the front which he covered with a thick layer of silicone. Which started to pull away due to the gap. I didn’t realise this until the plumber had gone. The correct size could have been ordered from Tradelink. After refusing to go ahead with the tap installation I was contacted by the salesman who quoted me. He said they would order them. I told him I was not prepared to go ahead and have anymore work or pay any more money. I had already paid $1949. The total was $3949. I contacted the salesman about the silicone issue and he said they would come back and fix it. I thought about it over night and decided not to allow them back as I have no confidence in their workmanship or honesty. I tried to post this review on Plumbfirst’s website but it wouldn’t allow me too. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I have added photos of my vanity. This company should not be in business! These people are nothing but shonky liars!Thank you for your honest feedback. Upon hearing of your dissatisfaction our technician who attended contacted you to reattend and rectify. You responded via text advising him not to. There appears to...

Read moret the products I requested weren’t available and given the option to cancel the job. Now to make matters worse the pipe under the vanity has a leak. Yes, I did send a text to say not to come back! Because I dont trust your company. I posted this honest review because I don’t want to see anyone else taken advantage of as I have been. This whole experience has left me extremely distressed.Avoid at all cost. They charge outrageous rates, can’t fix simple leaks, they are rude and they don’t respond when you complain.
I had/have hydronic heating and there was a leak in a panel in the bathroom. Actually the leak could have been coming from a panel or a heated towel rail that is directly above it - it was hard to tell.
I called Plumb First as their sticker was on the heating unit outside (we recently bought the house).
They quote a call out fee of $69 which is cheap. ‘[Name Removed]’ came out and quoted to fixing the leak and serv...
Read moreicing the unit. The price quoted was $1,330 + $133 GST = $1,463 which seemed very high, but I went ahead as the leak needed fixing and thought the unit probably needed a service. They came back and replaced a value in the panel and serviced the unit. It took one plumber less than 2.5 hrs. The value was worth approx. $70. So taking into consideration the call out fee ($69) and the value ($70), that worked out at $1,191 for 2.5 hrs of work = $476 per hour (+ GST)Phillip,
Thankyou for your honest feedback,
As advised, you had multiple, thermostatic valves leaking. Each time a valve is repaired/replaced the system must be drained....

Excellent friendly service from start to finish!
Replaced Water Heater promptly - next day service.
Gave us a temporary unit, whilst waiting so we could still access hot water!
Great service, would use again.
All phases were completed as promised on time and without fuss. Freddy the plumber was efficient, polite, and is a credit to your company.

Tristan from Plumbfirst has undertaken several projects at our house in Rye. His advice on matters has been very helpful and his attention to detail is excellent. He is very professional and pleasant to deal with - I have no hesitation in recommending him
I recently moved house, and had originally enquired to Plumb first regarding an air conditioning service. When the technician arrived, he also advised me that he could help regarding the hot water system, which didn't appear to be working. He gave expert advice, and was fast to come up with a solution. On the day, Sophie arrived to install the new system. Not only did she turn up when she said she would, but was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She worked hard to complete the project for us and to a very high standard. I could not recommend Sophie more.

Read more of our tradesman pulled from other jobs to meet with your demands whilst he remained on site and commenced work. We had 1 person at the supplier collecting the unit and one on his way as well as Tregan who had began dismantling a fence for you. At this point you cancelled. As per the contract signed by yourself we clearly note in bold that a 10% cancellation fee applies. Under the circumstances we feel this was fair and reasonable. As for the price, please take into consideration that we were not just replacing your unit, we were also upgrading your gas line to make it compliant with the unit you selected. I hope this clarifies and we would have been more than happy to discuss this with you. Kind Regards The PlumbFirst Team
