It doesn't work anymore

published

I cannot pull it out anymore. I haven't been able to water the garden for the last three months.
I went back to Bunnings to see if there was a service available to repair my Pope auto wind hose reel, and was told. NO.
I think I will have to smash the case to get the hose out.

update on my review

Contacted Toro today and a extremely helpful Staff person will enable my faulty item to be replaced at Bunnings...great result from Toro. This has restored my faith, apparently there is a 5 year warranty on the hose...very pleasing
I will try to return to Bunnings tomorrow hopefully all ok, will update.....

Careful what you get

I bought one of these hose reels a couple of years ago and it was great. I have since moved house and bought another on the strength of my experience with the previous one and it leaks at both ends.

I've since bought a hose reel from Hoselink and found it to be awesome. No leaks ever and really solid connections. We liked it so much we bought another.

Perfect!

published

I bought one of these at least 4 years ago, have moved it from one house to another and it is absolutely perfect. I am looking to buy another one and am very surprised at the negative comments. I can only say I cannot fault it.

Worst Hose ever

published

From 2010, I've had to replace 3 of these hose reels within 3 years, lucky 2 were covered under warranty. After the third and final failure I was never going to replace it with the same again.
When it works well its great. Unfortunately it doesn't last that long to enjoy the convenience.
Firstly the auto retraction will start to fail, then you will get leaking and if you use long enough, kinking in the hoses.
Quite simply the worst product I have every bought.
Maybe there's a newer improved model out now.
Liked it when it worked for a few months properly.
Auto retraction fails. Leaking. Hoses kink.

Purchased a 30m retractable unit a couple of weeks ago. The water pressure is terrible! The sprinkler used to cover an area of at least 5 metres however with this unit the same sprinkler is lucky to cover a couple of metres (which is unacceptable with the large area we need to water). What can be done to improve water pressure?

Cynthia, retract the entire length of hose and return it with emphasis on a smooth retraction ensuring no kinks inside the housing. I suspect this is causing you the problem with volume of water emanating from the source.

How do I fix the hose guide on my pope retractable hose it is stuck in one place

coax it out entirely and when you return it spray the returning hose to rid it of built up dirt which has a tendency to make the guide jam. occasionally spray a strong jet of water into the housing to force the dirt out the bottom.
