Deceptive practices
When I engaged these guys to fix a leaking bathroom sink hose, they told me the quote was so high ($780) because the parts were expensive. But when I received the breakdown after payment (which you have to ask for) I was charged $320 in labour for just half an hour of work, and a $110 project management fee amongst other unnecessary fees. The parts were only $106! Ridiculously overpriced and deceptive company.

not happy
not happy} installed a new hot water tank which was good but the stupid plumbers disconnected my evaporative cooling system which didn't need to be done . Had to get the evaporative service man out to see that was wrong then we discovered what the plumber had done, emailed the manager to explained, and asked for a refund for the call out fee which i had to pay the evaporative service man. The manger { {refused} not very nice unprofessional should have payed for the call out fee. And also the plumbers took out one brick out of the wall which never got replaced, which now i have to try and fix . people should think twice about this company dont recommend them

This firm has Doubtful business ethics
Had blocked storm water drains. This company used camera to check and then quoted over $16000 to repair, including no option but to remove several trees, garden furniture and fencing. Nearly fell for it as the job had to be done. But got three other plumbing companies in for independent quotes; they ranged from about $1000 to a maximum of $3,500 dependent on extent of blockage. Went with a genuine skilled plumber who did the job in 3 hours, no damage, for $1,300. ALWAYS CHECK quotes!! This firm claims to have qualified tradies; they are either incompetent or dishonest.

Good Work
We needed an emergency fix for our noisy gas meter. Found Priority one from an newspaper advertisement. Rang the company and the plumber arrived at the property in the afternoon on the same day. After an thorough assessment which lasted an hour the plumber informed me that there was multiple issues and offered me a quote to carry out major work to fix the issue. The price was bit higher than what a one man company would offer, but you get what you pay for. After accepting the quote and making a deposit the plumber ordered the materials. Two plumbers worked together and job was completed the following day.
I would certainly You them again.

This company is atrocious: Do Not Employ Them
Do not hire these people! Do not give them your money or your time! If I could give 0 or negative stars, I would.
I called them to get a plumber to come out and give a quote on Monday 25 May 2022. They said they'd come out in a window of time: 11am-1pm. At 2pm, the plumber hadn't arrived so I called them. They said they were running late and they'd be out by 3pm/3.30pm, so I could do my chores first if I wanted. I went out, came back, and at 4pm I called them again. They then told me that the plumber wouldn't be able to come out at all that d...Read more
ay and we had to reschedule for Wednesday 2-4pm. When the plumber arrived on Wednesday, he told us something different to what other plumbers quoted and said we required a special type of tempering valve, one that would be more expensive to replace. He then asked us to pay the 20% deposit for the service and he'd book it in for the following day - we arranged to get the valve replaced on Thursday afternoon. (The deposit was $53 more than the call out fee.) That night, at 9.50pm, I get a text from the company (riddled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors) saying they'll need to reschedule Thursday. After some back and forth, they agree to keep the original booking on Thursday 2-4pm. When Thursday rolls around, an hour before the job, they said they were running behind and they had to reschedule. By this stage I'd had enough of being harassed so I asked for a refund and cancellation of their completely unprofessional services. They told me they'd send me a refund form - they told me this three times on Thursday. On Friday, they sent me an email to refuse me a refund. Do not hire these people! Do not give them your money or your time!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Is it possible to give a 0 star review?
Absolutely appalling. I had no hot water and the callout took 1.5 hours to quote $3,800 to replace the gas hot water system. I was not happy with the price so I called another plumber. The second plumber took 2 minutes to work out that the system was not broken - it had no gas supply! The second plumber would have charged me $2,000 for the same job if it was required. I then researched more and the going rate was anywhere from $1,800 to $2,200! For a plumber not to check the supply is a pretty big oversight and to try and charge $1,800 more than the market rate is appalling.
I wish I'd read all of these other bad reviews before calling Priority One Plumbing!

Job Well Done.
Really happy with the work done.
Would have been a 5 star had the plumber not forgotten his tools behind which made me an hour late for work.
Happy with the company. :-)

disorganised and wildly overpriced
I do not generally leave reviews but, in this instance, I feel it is warranted. I requested an inspection and assistance deal with overflowing guttering. The inspection was done by Priority One (Canberra) in early April and I was charged more than A$700 for it. One of my downpipes was left disconnected afterwards, and a second one was damaged. I received no feedback on the inspection (for which I had paid $700) for three weeks. I was then told that a quote would be provided for remedial work. The quote did not arrive for another two month...Read more
s. When it arrived, it proposed that I pay almost $19,000. In the meantime, having heard nothing from Priority One, I sought a second opinion from another plumber, who laughed when I told him I had been charged $700 for the inspection, and he fixed the entire problem (competently and efficiently) for less than $1,500. I intended to simply write the experience off as a lesson learned, but Priority One is now hassling me for an answer to their 19k quote. The answer is: no, I will not be accepting that one.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Ripped off and bad customer service.
Paid $1000+ to fixed bathtub about 6 month ago. Reason for the high cost was taking out the bathtub. Leaked again and called them to re-attend it and asked them whether warranty. Without an inspection, they said it must be something else and said the installation was not Australian standard and perhaps i should change all the connection. It was something that i did not know about and asked them whether they can give me some discount on cost of removing bathtub. Rejected and quoted $2000+ to replace connecting hoses. I asked my agent to organise the plumber and finished the job less than $600, and I just realised i get ripped off.

Never showed Up
Had a huge hole in my roof, they turned up and quoted then nothing. 3 weeks later and 2 failed promises when pestered for an ETA, their playing hard ball demanding I pay them for ridiculous costs for activities they simply never did.
Avoid At All Costs
Watch out when getting quotes as they have 7 different business titles all run from the same offices. Search their ABN to get an idea of the business titles. Sams and this one Priority One seem to be the big two titles.
They also seem to pay for reviews as a lot of them look dodgy as hell. Search "ACT Supreme Court Your Local Plumbing" and you'll see why ACT Fair Trading is interested in them.

Very disappointed
Got these guys in Queanbeyan to fix a leakage ... Terrible service .Very unprofessional . Didnt fix the problem but just turn off the water supply. Didnt even touched the leakage pipe . Reported this to their base and got an abusive call from the same plumber. Better to hire a Blind Monkey instead of these guys. Big no no to these guys . Sent them mail regarding their service but didnt get response yet.

Terrible service
Terrible service to get a heater repaired. Office staff were as rude as they possibly could be and hung up after we questioned why the work we asked to be completed had not been. I would absolutely not recommend their service.

Stay well away
Asked for a detailed breakdown of the quote and 80% of the line items are totally made up. Not only do they say that they will give you the quoted cost back if we go with them but they actually accosted it twice on the quote, so you would never get anything back. The quote also included hundreds of dollars in travel and vehicle expenses and hundreds of dollars of "Administration Fees". I can strongly advise anyone to stay well away.

My god these guys are EXPENSIVE
I paid the $100 assessment fee for the privilege of having these guys come out and look at my gutters which were overflowing and blocked. I wanted them cleaned out and minor repairs if needed to stop the overflowing. They quoted me $685 just to clear the gutters and downpipes! Told me i needed to replace all my downpipes with bigger pvc ones and quoted $2900 for that. And told me i needed gutter guards at a cost of... wait for it... $10,000. I nearly fainted. Does anyone fall for this? Who would pay $10,000 to put gutter guards on 20 year old g...Read more
utters? Would be cheaper to replace the whole lot! Anyway, i got them cleaned by Leaf Delete for $385 instead. They replaced a cracked roof tile free and said, there's nothing really wrong with your gutters. They just needed a clean. To think, i could have been fleeced out of nearly 15 grand.Similar opinion? Misleading and overpriced
The job was to repair burst pipe. I was told two plumbers would be sent to do the job. Only one plumber sent and then the job was not completed. Only a temporary fix clamp put on the pipe. I was told I had to pay double to have the pipe work completed. When I ask for a detail invoice they provide me a business invoice with admin and other various costs. Not a normal plumber invoice with just labour and parts. The invoice is in dispute.

Plumber called to fix recently installed kitchen mixer tap - handle had come off. Plumber attended and was met by 85yo lady resident. Plumber recommended replacing tap. New tap installed which took less than an hour. Invoiced for $823.90, which unfortunately wasn't challenged and was paid. Tap later that evening leaked and customer contacted the 1300 number. Call taker threatened not to send anyone out to fix tap unless customer stopped complaining. Second plumber subsequently attended, taking 2 hrs to fix leaking tap. He confirmed to the customer that she had been ripped off by initial plumber and that this is not uncommon. Contacted company twice asking for invoice explanation with no reply. Complaint made to VBA

BEWARE - OVERPRICED
Got a job done with them for hot water replacement ($3700) and roof valley replacement ($5600). Was advised that majority was materials cost which I genuinely believed. Asked for breakdown of costs to find out I have been ridiculously overcharged. My original plumber who was not available at the time advised the hot water replacement should have only been $1250 max. Breakdown of the job included $80 to turn on and off the water and $80 the same for the gas, nearly $300 for admin cost, $100 just for writing, $500 for their expensive petrol, tra...Read more
vel and toll fees, $30 for photos none of which I asked for. After all this, they charged me labour and installation costs separately for an additional $780. was also charged 70% mark up for materials which they claimed was the purchase price (I got proof from the actual suppliers how much they were actually charged) and other ridiculous fees. Even after all that, they found a leak in my gas line and they said I had no choice but to get an upgrade on mains for $5000-$10,000. Got my proper plumber to have a look who found the leak straight away and fixed it up for only $500. They are very misleading and overpriced and wanting to take advantage of everyday household people. Will be taking to VCAT to dispute charges.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Thieving pack of Grubs
Charged an 84yr old Pensioner who lives on her own $5000+ for a replacement HWS, 2 under sink traps, 5hrs labour total. Pushed her to sign off on it which she did, tried to get the bill looked at as she had no understanding of what was involved to be told "we stand by our price". Two plumbers came in after the job was completed and quoted half the price. STAY AWAY FROM THESE TURDS.

Price gouging at its worst
We called Priority One Plumbing to have some plumbing done for our renovation as our existing plumber was in the hospital and we didn’t want to delay our renovation. We were very clear in our chat that this was not emergency work but that we would require someone that day or the next day to do the work. We were told this was not a problem and that they had plumbers available. When the quote arrived we were shocked and thought there had been an error. We called to discuss but were told this was correct. Your quote was $2392.50 for a job that we...Read more
estimated to only take about 4 hours and had limited parts required. We decided to wait until our certified plumber was out of the hospital and had him complete the work. His invoice was for $753.50 including all parts and labour. He is a certified and registered plumber that does work on both residential and commercial sites. I am sure you agree the difference in quotes is substantial. When we contacted you after your reply was "We are able to provide warranties, on call 24/7 and can send a plumber even if one of the away." We cannot comment on your work but unless it is for an emergency issue we would never use your services again or recommend you to others.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

You charged $1050 dollars to 'not move' a sink that you made my friends Asian girlfriend to move aside from a outside access drain for a tap, even though she stated it was the toilet that was blocked. Then you used a camera but could not find any problem (even though she stated it was not the storm water pipe, it was the sewage area), You then opened up a 40mm inspection point and then send the camera into the PIPE that was not the problem, She stated it was the area under the toilet where the poo and toilet paper go. He stated he could not access that area, but he could for $4000 dollars and $1000 dollars cheaper if she signed up for the next day. This will NOT be paid, we will be seeking legal guidance and from most of the reviews of your business, you conduct business with no morals and try to take advantage from people who don't deserve it.
