Smooth and hassle free
I rented with Propper for a year and only left because we bought our own house. They were great to work with. All maintenance issues were dealt with. Communication was great and the agents were honest about everything. They really do things the “proper” way.
Move out process was smooth and drama free. I got back my entire deposit. As long as you treat your rental apt like your own and keep it clean, you won’t have any issues with Propper.
I love their use of technology for everything. Don’t think I had to handle a single piece of paper. Highly recommend to anyone considering renting from them.

Property management
Propper were genuinely interested in leasing our property as quickly as possible for a good rental return. We could be involved as much as we wanted to be but we’re happy to leave it to property managers who actually have an interest and pride in what they do - a rare breed amongst property managers! Excellent use of technology. Great experience
Really happy with the experience I have had. Have used them both as a property owner and tenant. Very easy process and very responsive to feed back. Great use of technology and I am happy to not have to have to use a traditional real estate agent again!

Persistent and helpful
I had my unit with another property management and was wondering why it hadn't been leased out in a few months. When i decided to change managements ( because i was not happy with their service) Propper were quick to tell me that the unit hadn't been cleaned, smoke detector not connected, and no electricity in the apartment. Something the other management hadn't informed me about.
Once all this was done, within a month i had found a great tenant, and they kept holding open home inspections even when no one had shown up. They showed me they wee dedicated and really had my best interest at heart. Thankyou so much to the Propper Team

Excellent service and great communication

Very impressive service
From the first enquiry I was given a friendly service, adequate information, prompt emails and follow up phone calls. The Service has been efficient, I feel listened to and communication has been very effective. One of my concerns was not responded to by email but understandably they may be busy.
I would recommend propper to others over a real estate.

Easy and efficient
Propper is a breath of fresh air for a renter. The whole process from organising a viewing of the property to signing the lease and filling out the entry report was fast, efficient and hassle free. Professional and prompt service
The Propper Team kept you in the loop all the way with regular communication. If they said they would do something it was done nothing was too much trouble. They found us a tenant quickly in a very competitive market where there were numerous comparable rentals available.

Can anyone comment on an experience where the pressure was really on for Propper?
It's clear many people are very happy with what appears to be fairly day-to-day property management tasks and pricing. I would like to know anyone's experience when things go wrong - and a really skilled expert is required. I've scanned reviews but no luck finding this type of review.
For example: a demanding tenant, a tenant who isn't taking care of the property or paying rent, taking an issue through NCAT, a property with extended vacancy or issues with strata (owners corp). Or from the tenant's perspective, a non-responsive owner when non-essential but important repairs are required.
I'm keen to save money and work with a reliable provider - but the real value for me is when things go wrong and I need specialist expertise including tactics and deep technical (eg. legal) support (ie. peace of mind).

I have yet to experience any situation which could be called stressful, but I am currently talking to the agent re the re tenanting of the property after the current tenants move out. I wish to do some renovations after the place is vacated.A quick refurbishment of the bathroom and some cupboard work in the kitchen. In my conversations with the agent he seems a bit reluctant to be flexible on inspections and re advertising. I know prospective tenants like to see photos of the property, but surely all normal photos could be shown with a note that the bathroom is being refurbished, with a finish date on this project, so that anyone looking at the photos would know that the bathroom was going to be clean and with new tiles and fittings. If the prospective tenant was still unsure, an inspection of the property, even while the renovations (which will take approximately 10 days) were in progress should set any doubts to rest. The agent found this concept difficult to understand as they seem to have a formula for re letting and like to stick to it, and prefer to wait to take photos after the work was finished. This means that the advertising would be delayed by at least 10 days and the re occupation of the property would also be delayed by the same time. This is not acceptable to me. I did explain this to the agent but it remains to be seen if my instructions are acted upon.
Your question my be better answered after the renovation and re letting of my property. I hope this helps.
