Not worth it
The card seems to accumulate Qantas points regularly, though I don't check this. I chose this card for the travel insurance.
I'm not going to continue with this card because it is too hard to communicate with the company. The website is not all intuitive. There is no phone option to talk to a consultant. If you don't choose one of their two options, the call is terminated. Through experience and desperation, I've learned to choose the easiest option, relevant or not. I followed the instruction to report an unexpected SMS, thinking it was a security issue. It just wasted a lot of my time and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Travel Insurance eligibility
Their website says, to be eligible, one has to spend at least $500 for the ticket or to redeem points earned from using their card. For 3 months, I have no proper reply to my question - "am I still eligible if I;ve used my QFF points earned (from other credit cards) prior to using their card"?. They would not give me a simple yes or no answer but kept repeating the wording in their website. I suspect the answer is no - thus, it would be prudent for anyone interested in this offer to check it out-as it would take some time for an ordinary person...Read more
to acquire over 300,000 points to redeem a Qantas business class airfare. Furthermore, one also may have issue with the $500 spend because one may be paying for a package holiday -where the actual cost of airfare is not known.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Worst banking app ever
Where to start ... It appears that neither Qantas not their developer ever seen online banking before, missing even the most basic functionality.
It takes 4 to 7 business days to pay the balance, or worse using the MANUAL debit order form (hello 1970) Transactions are not recognised in the total for days some weeks - so you never really know what the position on your outstanding balance is.
The comprehensive travel insurance ONLY cover you if you start AND end the trip in Australia..... so forget about planning an trip with stopovers etc that continues in other countries

Worried about security
I've been using this card for years and enjoyed the boost to my frequent flyer points balance but I am worried about security.
I have had 3 card changes in the last 2 years due to my credit card details being stolen. I shop regularly at the same places and this doesn't happen with my other cards so I'm not sure why this card is more susceptible to fraud and scams.
I think I would rather stop earning points than having my details sold online.

Appalling customer service
They couldnt care less of looking after their customers. After applying for the credit card i realized that I applied for the everyday instead of the platinum. I called the customers service to upgrade to platinum and with that I lost any entitlement to the bonus points. I cancel the card and they didnt even try for a second to fix the situation.
I have been with qantas for both personal and business reason for 2 years but I there is not loyalty or care on their side. Look like your talking to machines. I am happy to move to virgin as they rates are more competitive, their service is more human friendly

Rejected but wont tell me why
I applied for this card but it took 2 whole months to notify me of their decision to reject my application. I fulfil the basic criteria but they will not tell me why my application was not accepted. I think it is very wrong that qantas keeps sending out marketing emails so frequently if they are going to not approve the application & keep the reasons for their decision top secret. Rejected applications work against your credit rating

The worst experience with Application
After I submitted an application, next morning I got a phone call from the customer service team, which I unfortunately missed. The phone number that was left on the MessageBank turned out to be invalid, calling back would not work either. After doing some research and finally getting through to the customer service within a couple of hours I struggled to hear a person on the other line and when I did hear the voice, it took some effort to understand the words. After providing more requested documents for my secondary income, the following morn...Read more
ing I had another phone call asking me for my ABN, which I also provided. Did not hear from them for three working days and decided to call them back to follow up on the progress where I was asked again for the copies of documents that I already emailed the previous week, then I was told that someone would get back to me. A few hours later I got another phone call where a person asked me the same questions about my income all over again. By the end of the working day, 8 days later since I submitted the application, I got an email saying my application was declined. My Credit Rating was also affected and it's harder now for me to apply for a credit card. My experience shows the mob are the time wasters.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

In this competitive space, this card offers no advantages and plenty of disadvantages
The "Details" on this card on this very page is misleading. This card does NOT work with the contactless payment (I tried Samsung pay and Google pay) it also does not work with any money management app (like moneytree or pocketbook). It has a TERRIBLE app and even worse monthly statement. In fact I will be complaining to the ACCC as to how misleading their payment info is. In short, the summary page only shows the minimum payment required but does NOT show the full payment required to avoid any late fees. You will have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the statement to find that. The app also does not show this. Such greedy practices

No Apple Pay - its 2022!
Contrary to the information provided on this product review website, the Qantas Premier Platinum card does not support Apple Pay. Very disappointing. Citigroup - please get your act together! It's nearly 2020 for heavens sake!

Great bonds points for cardholders
$299 annual fee after the first year, but can get 120k points split into 20k blocks for 6 months. If you travel a lot this card is great for you. Also, 2 x lounge passes a year and 1 point per dollar up to $10,000.

Fantastic Qantas Points
High annual fee but as a frequent traveller the Qantas points soon add up. Love the complementary lounge passes. Have various bonus point offers. Worth signing up if you travel a lot for work.

Great card with decent point-earn ratio especially during promotion
Application was easy, done online and very quick for response. Great bonus pt promotion at the time (80,000 from $1500 spend in 3 months) and additional 40,000 at the annual renewal which I think I'll pass on. Reduced annual fee of $179 made this card worth it at the time for the pt bonus and the lounge passes but i'm not sure about the regular annual fee of $299 for the perks given there are alot of other cards that give travel credit and similar perks for a $100-150 annual fee more per year.
Personally I find the Qantas money app a bit clunk...Read more
y and tedious to use. I've had issues logging in with occasional errors but overall it's been ok as I still get my monthly statements sent to me via email. Silly thing is with the app you need to log in as usual (I use fingerprint) then log in again using your password just to retrieve the statement WITHIN the app - extra bits of time wasters. No option to arrange to pay statement within the app too such as nominating direct debit from an account (Amex and some other banks let you do this) The rewards can used in the Qantas Store - Great for classic reward flight redemptions too. Easy and flexible to use + redeem pts. Comes with complimentary travel insurance and also 2 qantas lounge passes added to your acc which you can transfer to another QFF membership if you like. 1 pt per $1 spend - which is quite a decent earn ratio for the cost of the card (alot of other banks offer 0.75pt per $1). $6000 minimum limit which is great compared to some other cards requiring $15,000 minimum. I'd say this card is very good for those wanting the bonus promotion pts otherwise I would not recommend continuing with the annual membership and it might be worth jumping ship for the same annual fee of $299- Everyday Expenses

The bonus points was excellent with a reduced first year annual fee at the time.

Good sign-up bonus points
Relatively easy to apply and quick approval after submitting income documents.
Good sign-up bonus points on offer and received it as soon as the minimum spending were met. You also get 2 digital Qantas lounge pass. The annual fee is a bit high but discounted for the first year. Points earning rate is fairly average at 1 per $1 and quite a lot of restrictions on eligible transactions such as bpay, government, council, austpost, etc.

Worse than a joke
Applied three months ago. Telephoned every Friday for two months. Told someone would call me back that afternoon. No one ever called. When I tried to cancel my application what a problem. I am a millionaire and they have all my rental bank statements which is why I assume they could not understand them so just kept putting me to the bottom of the pile. Maybe employ people who know what they are doing.

Great Credit Card
Application was very easy from the beginning. Good bonus points on offer. I had only 1 issue where I was promised bonus points for submitting all relevant income statements extra. But was never awarded. But overall there are lot of card offers and I'm happy with the mobile app.

Beware >warning!!! >>>>>do Not Use...its A Nightmare For Rewards Points.
Deceptive offering, no rewards on any semi council or council or government, e.g like rates, etc.
NO rewards from credit card charging through BPAY.
3% charges on OS spend.
Dont bother try something else.

Worst application customer service ever experienced
Application took a month to process and I had to follow up each time. Was promised a call back from a manager that never occurred. Case escalated to complaint with dedicated ‘case manager’ who also never called or answered on direct line.
