Claim knocked back for having driver under 24 with me in passenger seat and not at fault. Supply all relevant details of other driver but not good enough.I dont Want a reply just advising other customers not to insure with QBE.

QBE's call centre is in the Philippines. This company has no moral compass, they employ foreigners rather than support Australian workers. [Irrelevent Content Removed]

Renewal For Car Received 6 weeks after due date - No Insurance!!
Our car insurance was due 16/6/2018 and renewal notice arrived 29/7/2018. I read the policy and noticed that some vehicle modifications had not been on the policy for circa 8 years (Fibreglass Canopy) Sent an email with copy of earlier policy to verify modification was on the policy and Pic of car. Dishonourable Company poor resolution of complaint
Insured my car with a QBE product called Insurance Box, which involved having to install an app on my phone which tracked all my driving habits, speed and locations. The advantage to me was that if my driving habits were shown to be good, I would then get up to 30% discount my my next renewal.This however meant sacrificing my private information.

Bad communication.
We had comprehensive insurance but were never explained to that being a policy holder was different to being a listed driver. We have to pay an additional $500 excess on top of the $650
because it was never made clear to us that these were two different things even though we are the only ones listed on the policy and driving the car. Beware about this! We’ve been driving for many many years and have not had many claims but this is the first time that this has occurred and after talking to many friends and family no one can believe that they could and would make this differentiation.

Policy cancellation due to selling the car
Phoned to cancel my car Insurance paid monthly as I sold the car. My next payment date will be about half of the regular monthly premium. First this was explained as the Insurance dates are actually in arrears...Then it was explained as a cancellation fee. This did not sit well & did not want me to ever do business with QBE in the future. This issue has now been resolved & I am satisfied with the outcome. Car insurance is cancelled with nothing additional to pay. There was an error with the information I was advised at the time.

Very poor communication
We took out insurance with QBE a number of years ago for a car that was worth about $6,000 in 2009. After 2 years they stopped sending me any insurance renewal confirmations after they automatically renewed my policy. Their direct debit came through as a different company so I never caught it. Their online systems are terrible and their communication is minimal. You can definitely find a better insurance provider than QBE/Onepath/ANZ, whatever they choose to call themselves.

Follow up post accident
I lodged a claim which went well, but the 3 days post this I have been subjected to
Their call system which passess you from person to person.
Medley of irrelevant questions, ie do you know where your car is (when it had been towed away).
Call from repairer asking if I would bring my car in, again when it had been towed away.
Failure to answer questions and a general poor, lack of follow up post accident.

Impossible to deal with. Stranded for 5 days so far and still no response to claim.
We have Mercedes insurance via QBE. We hit a kangaroo five days ago. Car very damaged. Not drivable. Have been staying in a hotel and a long way from home. Despite several phone calls and emails we have absolutely no help in either getting our car fixed or even getting home. They say call or email any time but no idea on how to help by phone and no response to emails.
We are left with the only option of driving 500 kms home in a dangerous vehicle and then still trying to work out how to get our car repaired. Very frightening. This is ridiculous! Never had such poor service. Having off shore call centre that has no idea about distances in Australia adds to the problem. QBE is a Complete joke!

QBE won’t release any green slip refunds for 3 months
If you change your mind, You need to wait 3 months before they release any refunds that you’ve paid towards your green slip, had to pay another $1800 somewhere else until I got my other $1800 back. Apparently it’s the law?
Don’t pay the green slip until your sure!!
Also, You get for what you pay for, it’s as simple as that

listed as a repairable right off, I purchased the green slip before going to the RMS and finding this out. Like I said the vehicle did not have any registration nor could it be re registered and still QBE would not refund me the money. How could I cancel a registration which never existed? Worst insurance company ever to deal with
One star is actually to many. I have for many years had all my business motor vehicle insurance with QBE, over the years I have rang and questioned a few things always to be told it was OK. I decided this renewal to really cover myself and sent a letter requesting them to confirm a few things in writing, after weeks and weeks finally they advised I had incorrect insurance and would not be covered for 'Business Use". The wait times on the phone are huge and they encourage you to do everything online, I guess that way you get the insurance online and when its time to claim they can say you took out the wrong policy. Awful company.

Pds Booklet For Caravans
Up to 6th request for a hardcopy PDS and Policy Booklet for a caravan. They keep sending a letter to say booklet enclosed but not enclosed. Even had a woman phone to say sorry for the inconvenience and will put a booklet in the post...letter received but no booklet.
Just sheer incompetence!
If this is what its like just to get a PDS booklet, God help us if we ever had to make a claim
Will NOT be renewing this policy next year. We agree WORST insurance company.
Will be suggesting to other caravan members in our club to AVOID QBE.

More than 2 weeks after a car accident and lodging a claim I have not once been contacted by QBE. They even moved my vehicle to Melbourne from Shepparton without my knowledge or consent. It's been 10 days that I put up my claim, all the claim officer said will get back to me, no one cares to call back, it was me calling them always regarding update, they saying investigating team will contact me for interview bit no one has called me, so wondering what should I do as out of car and been renting now, any advice

AVOID QBE !! The worst insurance company
Avoid QBE to save that little bit extra is not worth it, in the end it costs you more money having to hire and vehicle and time not having a vehicle repaired and to be inconvenienced by the incompetent staff in the Philippines, not only are the waiting times long many mistakes are made by transferring you to different departments on purpose like a hot potato, they take to long to approve any claims, the claims officer cannot even communicate with you in emails or respond of ring you to update you on situations, also avoid their authorized repai...Read more

About the refund, they just ignore
Sold my car and wanna to refund the ctp. rang and they advised to email or fax, then emailed but have been waiting for half month, still without any reply yet! Terrible customer service and disappointed.

The worse insurance company ever
They are happy to renew your insurance policy. As soon as you make claim they start delaying the claim process then they will refuse to honour the claim, They will find any excuse to refuse to honour the claim if you are at fault driver. Don't trust this company.

Was looking around to get a cheaper CTP (QBE was $480 whereas AAMI was $530). Was going to go for the cheaper option offered by QBE but sounds like the stress of using QBE would not be worth it. Will pay a bit more and stick with AAMI.

No customer service, do yourself a favour and Insure with another company.
Over 40 minutes on hold waiting for a credit card number to be updated.
Even if another insurer is slightly dearer go with them. I would hate to think how they would handle a claim!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced
I am absolutely appalled by the customer service standard of QBE Insurance. I can't even begin to articulate how poorly they treated me when I had to make a claim. From the get-go I was treated like a burden, they did not ask about my personal health and I swear I heard the "claims specialist" roll her eyes when I told her that I was not at fault in the accident. w been over 3 months since the accident (I made the claim the day after) and they don't return any of my emails, when you call they put you on hold for literally hours only to tell you they are busy and will call you back urgently (within 3 days) and then you never hear a word. It takes a lot for me to be cheesed off, but my god, these guys are the scum of the earth and borderline scam artists.
