Great flight with excellent service

I had s flight last week from Dubai to Melbourne. I experienced a great flight with excellent service.
I definitely recommend this airline to my friends.

Excellent - will always fly with them from now on

This was an amazing experience from start to finish. My family flew from Melbourne to London return with them. They were polite, efficient and extremely friendly. The food was excellent, service was always done with a smile and nothing was too much for them. The no-alcohol policy meant that the other passengers were quiet and they helped mothers with babies without any fuss. I cannot compliment this airline enough for our flying experience. I will always choose them from now on if we return to any of the destinations that they fly to. I found them caring at ALL times, my luggage was not damaged in any way, flight times were kept to and the airline itself was beautifully clean and smooth.

Absolutely Terrible Business Class experience.

Incredibly bad experience last month flying Melbourne to Saigon (Return) First time I had flown with this airline and did so after being warned by many people. Sent fragile luggage to another location, never responded to multiple request to change the flight, very bad service in Saigon, food was appalling. Lounge in Melbourne was water and a couple of soggy biscuits (Cathay Pacific lounge which was surprising) Whatever you do give them a miss. This was my fault as it is a Budget Airline and I was warned just thought I was important to pass on my view. If anyone at Royal Brunei would like to respond to my emails and Skype messages I am still all ears.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible

I traveled with Royal Brunei Airlines before from Melbourne to Kota Kinabalu and that was great. Subsequently, after a few other flights it's terrible. Flights from Melbourne to Brunei were smooth & on time, only to be spoiled by frequent delay up to eight hours to Kota Kinabalu!
Today, our arrival time to Kota Kinabalu is scheduled to arrive at 7.55 pm and now it's going to be delayed for 5 hours arriving at 12.50 am next morning. Our patient is running out.



Uncaring, unfriendly, unreliable...you named it! They don't care about other people.

Vietnam to Melb late Dec 2016. 8hr delay .. very poorly handled around.
Now we are currently waiting on our returned flight. Which is also delayed. Going by the other reviews. This airline needs to get its act together!! .. sack your management and get it right ...
Good planes new 787. However with these delays. Your be losing customers hand over fist.

Very bad service, don't care about passengers I'll never fly with Royal Brunei again and never recommend to my family and friends.

They knew of a 10 hour delay but not a word until check in time.

They lost my bag. took me 4 months of following up with them and ended up with nothing, they always say that they would get back to me but never did they get back to me once! I lost $600 worth of gifts and clothes but didn't get back a cent. I wouldn't recommend this flight to anyone.

Not good customer service

My wife and I have flight with RB and a lay over of 17hrs in Brunei was told at time of making the booking would be allocated hotel, 3 enquires sent on this matter still waiting for a reply and flight is not that far off they can not even send a reply to say we are looking into your enquire, Not good customer service.

Very helpful with foreword bookings but didn't acknowledge age with getting to forward gates. It almost caused a heart attack by the lack of customer transport between gates.

Cancelled my connecting flight and reasoned the flight is not available. Why advertise them and then misled your customer AFTER I paid it! You LIED! Luring me and the family to a hotel and expect me and my young children travelling in the middle of the night. All because you cancelled my flights less than 24 hours. I lost one day holiday and you cost me time and money. Basically, you ruined me and my family's holiday! If your airline do not live up to your motto, please bar yourself from using it as you clearly do not live up to it. You do not deserve any star from me as you have ruined everything!

Customer Service - TERRIBLE

Having travelled return to London in business class, I discovered my case, a quite expensive soft case, had been mishandled and a wheel broken off. Several emails to their supposed customer services with not even the courtesy of a reply. Whether they imagine people will give up with their appalling lack of service demonstrated I don't know.

The only issue i have with Royal Brunei is the online booking system. it seems to not log onto the site. in saying that if you call the customer service number they are sensational. My 18 YO daughter met us in HCMC and the stewardesses looked after her, gave her a spare seat so she could lie down and relax and kept checking her to see if she was ok. my husband and i flew with them again for the 3rd time and i could not fault this airline. great size seats, sensational meals, good movies, constant updates on a small amount of turbulence. i cannot fault this airline

I am standing in q still over 1 hr 15 mins still which supposingly was online check in drop bag service. When asked the kids r getting tired, a staff replies very unconcerned "we do not have any assistance for people with kids, only wheelchair etc". How ridiculous...... Worst wait ever after i have even loaded all identity info and passport info already too... Baaaaad

Our first experience of business class from Melborne to London. Royal Brunei is half the cost of the major airlines. State of the air aircraft ( Dreamliner 787) resulted in a trouble free light. Service was outstanding throughout, food excellent. We advised Arab of my wife's gluten intolerance and they had seperate menu's ready. True value for money and will be our first choice for long distance travel in the future

Booked flights (3 tickets) Heathrow to Melbourne, plane broke down in Dubai breakfast was a choice of a burger on its own or a curry, lunch was the same choice but burger came with fries.
Compensation for a 37 1/2 hour delay nil, the airline refused to pay a penny, nobody from the airline was present at Dubai. After waiting in lounge for 8 hours, sent to 1st hotel (in airport) for 12 hours then sent to another hotel outside airport for the rest of the time.
When things go wrong, they do not want to know or care, if nothing goes wrong they are good. Over 1 year later with the help of solicitors just rec`d compensation.

Great experience with Royal Brunei

Just returned from a 4 week holiday in the UK ......both journeys flying with Royal Brunei. Excellent punctuality, wonderful attentive flight attendants, good food and enjoyed absolute comfort having a row of seats all to myself on both forward and return journeys. The attendants on the return Dubai-Melbourne 'leg' were wonderful as I was not feeling too well with a heavy cold and they couldn't do enough to make me more comfortable. I would definitely fly with this airline again..the Dreamliner aircraft is spacious, airy and a pleasure to fly in compared to other aircraft I have flown with where you feel cramped and claustraphobic. WELL DONE RB....see you again and will recommend you to friends and family.

If I take alcohol on board can I drink it on board? And will ant of it be confiscated in a stopover in Brunei - I'm going to London.
Also, How much alcohol can be taken in check-in luggage please?

Firstly, u cannot get through the gates before boarding. Your bags are checked by border control and if u succeed then air crew could confiscate your alcohol i guess it's a mark of respect.
