Murderers
Unable to consider flying this airline as Brunei has sanctioned the murder of LGBTIQ people. As I would be subjected to their barbaric and horrific laws upon boarding their airline, I will give it a miss.

Disgraceful human rights - to be avoided
This is the state airline of Brunei - a country that has just passed Sharia law making homosexual acts and adultery crimes punishable by stoning to death. Yes ..... STONING TO DEATH!!
Do not support a government that has such barbaric inhumane laws.

Unsafe
I have flown once but never again for fear of being stoned to death. The law just introduced making it legal to stone to death gay people or anyone suspected of adultery.

Danger to your freedom and safety
Risk you being executed or physically whipped if you are LGBTIQ, engage in non marital intercorse. Having this airline flying in Australia is putting our citizens at undue risk. No thanks!

Flight experience with food service on the plane (Singapore to Melbourne approximately 7 hours)
I was flying from Singapore to Melbourne on Friday the Ist February 2022, flight B1005, seat Number 52 A and my husband 52 C.At about 3 AM the air hostess came around giving early breakfast with muffins and biscuits, she only gave them to the adjacent seats and neglected giving them to the aisle on my side. Another air hostess (a man) came and gave drinks to both sides of the aisle including us. We were disappointed at the service. We did not ask the air hostess anything about this thinking that they will turn up at some time to come and offer us. We often fly with Brunei Airlines because the flights are cheap.

The very best value for money.
Melbourne to London Been three times before with this excellent airline. .Again in July.. Well worth looking out for a sale price in January. Delighted that a whopping five hours has been cut off the flying Time.

Great airline - Melbourne to London return
Second time I've flown with RB from Melb to London Heathrow and back. I've flown on many carriers over the years and my experiences with RB are only bettered by Air New Zealand. I'm 6'4" and had no problem with leg room, service was attentive and polite throughout, food was very good for flight meals and travel time (incl. transit) was great. The 787s they use are spacious and quiet when compared to alternatives. Brunei is an Islamic country and as a result there is no alcohol on the flight, and there is a prayer before each take off. The ...Read more
words of the prayer are quite lovely, and you can ignore it if you want to. Movie and music selection could have been broader but there was sufficient options to keep me entertained and there are lots of Disney movies for kids. There is no way to make such a long journey enjoyable, but a good airline like RB makes it do-able. Will definitely look to fly RB again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Confiscated purchase cooked food at terminal
I have invoice of 32pcs x 150g sealed food (cooked) packets in my hand carry bag confiscated upon arrival transit at Brunei airport. Manila - Brunei - 4AUG2018 15:00 BI684
I asked if I can check-in the items and continue voyage to Melbourne BI53 at 20:00 but they refused. It was for personal consumption anyway no commercial value. I bought it from a reputable store in Manila Goldilocks.
I saw other passengers carried cooked meat (fish) but were allowed and never confiscated.
I will never fly Brunei airlines again! I bought similar items before and JetStar airways never made an issue about it.

No waiver for cancellation or reschedule due to medical condition
I had to go for surgery today but I've already booked a flight months before to travel in the next 5 days. Was really disappointed to learn that they will not give any waiver (for changing or cancellation fees) what so ever even with a medical note from the surgeon. There is also no written notice regarding this on my ticket or their website. At least an honest upfront warning should be written clearly on this matter in the website.

Food inedible
Just arrived back in Melbourne. after flying from Heathrow. Food was inedible most of the time. Examples...
Breakfast "scrambled eggs" was a rubbery substance stuck to the aluminium tray. The sausage was embedded in this and stuck solid.

Terrible experience After travelled with Royal Brunei Airlines 3 years
My husband and I have been travelled with RBA since Sept 2014 until now, 3 or 4 trips a year (mainly to Ho Chi Minh, and London from Melbourne). We have just arrived in Melbourne this morning 9/3/2018 from HCM City. My bad experience with RBA this time which is filled in with disappointed feeling by Ground Staff in HCM side, I booked my trip in advance and I wasn’t pregnant by then, when I travelled out from Melbourne which is fine due to I have obtained all medical cert. though, on the way back (supposed to be on 6/3/2018) I haves provided me...Read more
dical cert also but it’s in Vietnamese which I was told it should be ok because it’s in Vietnam. End up the ground staff said I’m not allowed to flight, so my husband, son and myself had to defer flight to 8/3/2018 and it costs AUD $1700 also I have to obtain the medical cert again. Eventually we can check in to fly back home on the 8/3/2018. Yet, flight delayed 2hrs without any notification via email or so, we checked in, waited, arrived Brunei and rushed to connecting flight, and YET we got called up to check on luggage which is just business brochures. Eventually we got in the plane and flew home. Arrived Melbourne on 9/3/2018 morning at the customs check at Tullamarine airport I found out one of my suitcase got tempered to open and damaged permanently which is ticked me off completely. I have captured the damage to prove what I’m complaining here. Also I’m going to contact RBA to complain about that.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Worst airline in the world
My family flew with this airline they are only friendly with European or white passengers and when we had transit at the Brunei airport only our luggage got checked very embarrassing we were on transit no other bags were checked. I recommend if you are not white don't travel with them.

So Grateful flying with RB airline during my last trip
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere THANK YOU to all the amazing and helpful staff of Royal Brunei Airlines, Manila Philippines. You all have extended an assistance beyond what is expected during my travel difficulty and be lucky to get on board in the last minute of the flight.
I am so grateful for all your efforts Madam and Sir. It was successful! I continue with my journey with ease and positive attitude until I arrived in Aus.

great planes, service and prices
Have flown with then 4 times so far. Great sale prices to UK, usually the cheapest. Also, the three flights helps break up the journey. Will always check their prices first when returning to the UK. Don't have any complaints and always recommend people check them out first.

Most underrated Airlines
Flew Royal Brunei a couple of times, prices can be amazing on special offers, excellent service, spacious seats, new planes, great food with sizable portions. Ground staff also friendly and go out of their way, had an emergency once and airport staff helped us re-schedule.
Also try their stop over mini-tour at Brunei, cheap and quick tour covers main monuments of Brunei.
Highly recommend this airline. Very underrated as they dont do any marketing

Hello, I will be flying to Dubai (RBA) to do my internship at UAEU. My friend and I have different fare type (booking class), so is it possible for us to seat together when we both check in together?
1 answer
Upon check in they will usually oblige and let u seat together. All depends how busy the flight will be for the sector. Good luck!

hello
If I take alcohol on board can I drink it on board? And will ant of it be confiscated in a stopover in Brunei - I'm going to London.
Also, How much alcohol can be taken in check-in luggage please?
1 answer
Firstly, u cannot get through the gates before boarding. Your bags are checked by border control and if u succeed then air crew could confiscate your alcohol i guess it's a mark of respect.
