Great fridge for great price
Good size fridge for 2 people. Easy to keep clean. Enough shelf space and freezer space. Runs quietly. Overall temperature is good and freezer can be used as a fridge instead of wanted. Only complaint would be Is that there is only one long shelf in the fridge door for bottles etc and the shelves in the door are not very wide. Overall though great product.

Freezer fine Fridge not so fine
I purchased a Samsung SR400LSTC refridgerator in April last year, the first unit that was delivered didn't work so I had to wait another 2 days without a fridge for a replacement, after about 6 months the second unit started to ice up in the fridge area and had to be defrosted, I have had to defrost it this three times in the past 3 months and have checked all the seals and the food distribution in the fridge, I have contacted Samsung who are sending someone out to check it, I have lost three fridge loads of food as it cannot keep milk etc at a...Read more
n acceptable coldness, depending on what the technician advises in two days time I will review whether to keep it or get another unit. For a fridge that cost around $1000 it is a pain to have these issues within the first 12 months since purchasing it.1 comment

After an initial dose of "heatstroke" my new Samsung Fridge is just fine.
When the seals on my 20 year old Westinghouse bottom mount fridge started to give out, I decided it was time for a replacement. As I took advantage of the NSW government's "Appliance Replacement Offer" I was limited in the choice of fridge offered by their partner, The Good Guys. I visited one of their stores and examined the selection included in this offer - Westinghouse, Samsung and Hisense. After having had a trouble free Westinghouse for 20 years, I was keen to get another one, but unfortunately the model on offer was too small. The Hi...Read more
sense didn't appeal to me (and I don't know much about them), so I opted for a top mount Samsung which had a digital inverter compressor and a good energy rating. The fridge was delivered and installed on a blistering hot summer day (36 degrees and probably more in my kitchen). The delivery guy just wheeled it into place and turned it on. I asked whether it should sit for a few hours before turning it on and he assured me it was OK. The freezer compartment cooled down pretty quickly, but the fridge compartment took all day to get down to 10 degrees and I had to turn it right up to high to get to 4 degrees. With the temperature in the high 30's for the next couple of weeks, it seemed to struggle a bit and the sides were very hot. However now the cooler weather is here, it is running quietly and smoothly and i have it turned back down to medium where it maintains a constant fridge temperature of around 4 degrees. The fridge compartment is roomy and door storage is ample. The glass shelves are easy to remove and clean. I did initially miss my old bottom mount freezer with its storage baskets - if you don't stack the top mount freezer section carefully things can tumble out when you open the door but I am learning to be more careful. The crisper has room for lots of fresh veggies and there is also a separate meat and fish compartment. It also came with an ice maker box, however this takes up so much freezer space I took it out. I have read some negative reviews about Samsung refrigerators, but so far (apart from its initial struggle with the heat), have had no problems. It looks good and does the job. What more could you ask for.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Value for money
Extremely quite while running and has good temperature control in various compartments. Ice cube tipper tray works well and makes ice in no time. Spacious and very easy to clean. I would highly recommend this fridge for it's sleek styling and great compartment layout. Well done Samsung; your quality control and design features are A1.

The most wonderful purchase I have made in a long time
The fidge is spacious and the freezer above can also be used as a fridge when family visiting
Also purchased a Mitsubishi upright Freezer
Which lives in laundry but close by when the other becomes a full fridge 10 plus stars for both and the fridge temperature between the top and bottom are controlled separately.

Ideal
The fridge is sexy, versatile, super energy efficient, cools really quickly. Easy to clean for the odd disaster.
I would definitely recommend, particulary for its usable size in a kitchen with smaller dimensions.
Very quiet.
Moveable ice tray is more handy than you think.
Top of the game samsung. happy

Quiet, sleek, bright & clean
We use this as a 2nd fridge and were drawn by the split compartments - so handy to be able to switch off just the fridge or freezer when going on holidays.
Temp control seems good and the thing is whisper-quiet. Fridge capacity is great.
The only drawback is the shallowness of the freezer. It's nowhere near as deep as the fridge, likely due to its independent cooling mechanism. So if you like freezing lots of meals/leftovers, you might want something a bit larger. Would be fine for a couple, but a bit small for a growing family.
Using it as a backup fridge/freezer though, we are very happy.

Wouldn't touch another Samsung fridge!
Purchased brand new from Harvey Norman, a few days later the fridge was completely dead. Harvey Norman sorted out a brand new replacement. 6 months later the new Samsung fridge part (freezer is fine) is dead.
So two Samsung fridges within 6 months.... still waiting for repair and food replacement.
Samsung needs to step up their quality.

Really happy
This is my third fridge in 5 years, and I hope to have better lunch with it. But so far very very happy. No loud motor noises and seems good for energy saving. Fingers crossed that the icebox doesn't stop working like my last Samsung fridge...3 weeks in and so far so good.

So far OK but is it really 400 L?
Read a few good reviews online so decided to purchase this fridge. Supposed to be good value for money. But compared to my old 390 L fridge, this alleged 399 L Samsung actually feels smaller. Not wide enough for us even if we are just two adults.
In the first few days, I can hear the compressor (correct me if I am wrong) working all day, even though I had selected "optimal" (level 3) for the cold level. Then I turned both the freezer and fridge to level 2, and it starts to sound right, i.e., working intermittently rather than all the time. I made sure there are enough space (10 cm or more) on all sides of the fridge. So I wonder if this is a manufacturing problem?

A Great Fridge . Super values for money.
I bought Samsung SR399 WTC a Top Mount fridge with twin cooling plus system a two month ago. This fridge has a great space of 400 L, incl. 115 L freezer, has a nice design : flat doors and integrated handles and a nice ice maker. It is very quiet, holds perfect temperature in all sections, easy to clean. It is simply convert freezer to fridge or even switch off the freezer or fridge. This fridge provides outstanding humidity and temperature control, minimizing the mixing of odors. Samsung offers a 10 years parts warranty on the digital inverter compressor. Energy consumption 3,5 stars.

Excellent large fridge
We replaced at 370L fridge with this 400L and are very happy.
It has a moveable ice maker tray, keeps vegetables fresh in the crisper drawer, and the fridge and freezer section are cooled separately so one does not affect the other.
It is easy to clean, just wipe over with a damp cloth, inside and out.
Very happy with this choice.

So far its been great.
Like the clean look it has. enough space for a small family fridge. The Ice maker being removable is really handy, especially for winter when you can take it off an use the extra space.
really keen to use the feature of converting to mini bar, whole fridge, or only freezer. (top only)
Had samsung for a while in the past. hope this one goes well.

Samsung 400 litre Fridge - upgrading from a 2004 Samsung 210 Litre Fridge
Finding over Christmas I managed to fill my 210 litre Samsung Fridge plus a bar fridge to capacity - I decided it was time to get one larger fridge and hopefully reduce my electricity bill. I spend quite some time on line checking models for recommendations and of course, prices - both on line and on the shop floor.
Having then decided what size fridge I now required - the interesting part was the variation in prices. I would recommend anyone going through a similar exercise do your research - you may find you can save considerable money. Na...Read more

Great fridge with lots of space....
At 400L this top mount fridge has a heap of space. We have it as our main fridge and find it has enough space for us (2 adults, 3 kids) with a good size fruit/veg compartment. The ice maker/box in the freezer is great and easy to use, especially for the kids.
Can't really fault it at this stage.

SIMPLY THE BEST
Samsung have got it made, easy to access all compartments, rigged for silent running I am sure, glass shelving make it a dream to clean, from the factory I have not had to change any settings, temperature is consistent in all compartments. The freezer compartment is more than adequate for all our needs. A quick wipe on the outside with a damp cloth and it sparkles. look no further this is the one.

I’ve had for about 3 years and the freezer rear panel and floor are building up with ice and becoming damaged. The rear panel has buldged out about an inch so the ice maker doesn’t fit any more. In fact it pushed the ice maker forward opening the door while I was at work. Then all of my frozen food was spoiled as the door was open. Absolute joke of a fridge.

Mick. I have exact same issue with mine! Bulging back panel in freezer. I've defrosted and nothing changed. It means a little on floor sometimes.
Otherwise fridge and freezer are ok.
I WON'T EVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG !!!
Fionaasked
Our freezer keeps getting ice build up, behind the back panel and under the freezer floor. Then leaks water into the fridge area and on the floor. We defrosted thoroughly about 6 months ago and checked the drains were clear, but it has happened again. This appears to be an issue with Samsung fridges, and of course the first time it happened it was just out of warranty. Any help?
