I have recently purchased a Samsung UA55BU8000WXXY 55 inch Crystal UHD 4K Smart tv to replace an older Samsung 60 inch smart tv which has developed a shadow that varies in size.
The remote for the 60 inch is user friendly and a lot of people seem to have problems adapting to the new remote provided with this later model. Is it possible to use the old remote on the new purchase.
I haven’t used the older remote before and I doubt it would work on the newer model. I still think the newer remote is worth pursuing. Try setting up the voice control. Then you can hold button on rem...

Samsung AU8000 UA65AU8000WXXY (65") Can I record with a 32 USB stick for recording my tv shows. Thank you.
The ability to record is region specific. It is called ‘Extended PVR’. The 55” AU8000 purchased in Australia does not have this function, even though it is in the user manual. Check the specs list in ...

Is this a "Google TV"
I'm not sure, I don't have wifi or internet connected to the tv. Maybe ask samsung they could answer your question.
Awesome Carolyn. Do you know why ppl who dont know the answer to question feel compelled to say so?
Youre not the only one.
Hi Neil. It is a smart tv and you need a Samsung account to link it. I created one when I bought it. Not sure of the answer about Google TV as I’m an Apple user and it still links to screen mirror.
I hope this is helpful

Cheers

Chris
NO! The film is NOT supposed to be taken off and will ruin the picture quality if you do. Easy mistake, as so many screens come with a "protective' film. This ISN'T one of them.
Can you record live tv on this model? I use this function on my old samsung via the usb so really want this option.

Yes it has a clock display next to the information about the channel or source you are on like HDMI 1,2,3. I think you can make is either 12hr or 24hr based on preference. It’s a very good TV.
Is it worth buying it? I was planning to buy the TU8000 until this suddenly showed up. Is there much difference? especially for gaming?
P.S: The reason I wanted to buy the TU8000 is for my PS5.
Thank you!
Hi Ben

This series of TV is considered a budget/entry level TV. It will support most of your needs for gaming, movies and streaming but it won't have access to the top of the line features like 120fps gaming...
Read more. It does support essentially everything else though. Its got an OK response time of 9.5ms in game mode which is good across most models of TV's. If this is your price range then this is the best you can get.Get an answer from our members and Samsung representatives
