I have recently purchased a Samsung UA55BU8000WXXY 55 inch Crystal UHD 4K Smart tv to replace an older Samsung 60 inch smart tv which has developed a shadow that varies in size.
The remote for the 60 inch is user friendly and a lot of people seem to have problems adapting to the new remote provided with this later model. Is it possible to use the old remote on the new purchase.

Hi Neil. It is a smart tv and you need a Samsung account to link it. I created one when I bought it. Not sure of the answer about Google TV as I’m an Apple user and it still links to screen mirror.
I hope this is helpful

Take the film off, HD is good.

NO! The film is NOT supposed to be taken off and will ruin the picture quality if you do. Easy mistake, as so many screens come with a "protective' film. This ISN'T one of them.

Yes it has a clock display next to the information about the channel or source you are on like HDMI 1,2,3. I think you can make is either 12hr or 24hr based on preference. It’s a very good TV.

Is it worth buying it? I was planning to buy the TU8000 until this suddenly showed up. Is there much difference? especially for gaming?

P.S: The reason I wanted to buy the TU8000 is for my PS5.
Thank you!
