Great TV for the price
This TV was just right for our requirements:
* Great picture quality - used mainly at night in a darkened room. There are a range of picture modes and an ability to fine tune the picture settings if you want to. Very happy with the colour and contrast.
* Can be used with a small sound bar: the TV feet are height adjustable so at the higher setting a sound bar can fit underneath without blocking the view of the TV. This is a great design feature that not many TVs have. The width between the feet is 65cm. Works great with the Bose small sound bar. The sound on the TV itself is good in the small room it's in, but it's next level with the sound bar.
* Easy to set up, connects to wifi easily
* Pairs easily with bluetooth headphones

Unusable At Unboxing
I recently bought this Samsung smart TV. My daughter and I unboxed it to set it up, removing the wrapping, polystyrene, clear tape around the frame and the removable matte film on the screen, whilst following the setup guide. As we removed the screen protector and were switching it on, it was evident that there was a picture visible through the film, but not on the glass where the film had been partially removed, where it looked like a bright white screen. At that point, we stopped, reread instructions, searched online for advice, then phoned S...
Read moreamsung customer care. The technician explained that the protective film was actually an antiglare film that should not be removed as it was essential to the functioning of the TV. We were quite shocked to hear this, as I had previously owned a Samsung TV and had recalled having to remove a protective film prior to use, we were accustomed to this process from other electrical and electronic appliances, and there was nothing on the screen to warn that it should not be removed. After further discussions with Samsung staff, we were advised that this constituted inappropriate use by us and that Samsung would not cover the repair or replacement. I explained that the edges of the film were not sealed or protected but were clearly visible and easily removed, hence my assumption that it was to be removed. Although we attempted to replace the film, this was not possible and the picture has been significantly compromised, to the point that the TV is totally unusable. The cost of repair is almost 90% of the purchase price. Too late, I found many posts on Samsung own forum about recent model TVs (over the past 12 months or so) having the same issue, with Samsung neither agreeing to repair, nor rectifying by applying warning stickers to the screens, despite it being a known issue. After many attempts at having Samsung cover the repair costs, escalating my complaint at each step, it’s a firm no. I now have a TV that is non-functioning and am faced with the choice of paying for the repair myself or dropping it in the tip and buying another.Purchased in .

The picture quality on this TV is absolutely wonderful! The sound though comes from an empty baked bean can with a string! It's awful!!! Now the modern view from the shop is oh, no, these days you have to have a sound bar because the sound won't work otherwise?
I'm buying one of the most expensive models on the market for this size TV! I should not have to spend extra money for a sound bar when the cheaper LG and Hisense models have perfectly fine speakers!
I should have asked to listened to the sound in the shop, but as I've always bough...

I recently purchased a Samsung AU8000WXXY 43 inch 2021 model.
I don't have wi fi at my property, the TV can still be used without the internet.
Installation is easy all you need to have an antenna connection and a power point.
The Samsung TV automatically tunes your stations it takes around 30 seconds.
I also use a Samsung Dex cable to mirror images of my Samsung phone to the TV
There are a lot of choices on the TV using the remote to adjust the colour, sound and so on, and it is easy to adjust to your personal taste.
I found the remote could h...

My Tv of more than 7 years broke down, so looking for a new TV was easy. I knew I wanted a Samsung as I own a Samsung Android phone. JB Hi Fi had this one for sale & they even reduced the cost of the extended warranty. Set up was a breeze & the 4K picture quality is beyond fantastic, especially when I am playing games on my PS4. I love this TV, it has all the features I could ever ask for & the amount of channels offered on Samsung's own TV channel is amazing. If you are looking for a 43" TV, look no further than this brilliant Samsung. I'm very happy with my purchase & I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

About a month ago I came home from work and threw my keys into the basket under the TV. I missed and hit the TV screen instead. I discovered that even a tiny scratch on a flat screen is fatal, You Tube DIY fix it couldn’t help me, so it was time for a new TV.
We have a small house, so a big TV looks silly, 43” is just about right. I went to JB HI-Fi and was overwhelmed with choice. Various websites recommended the Samsung range, the one I had ruined was an earlier model so I was tempted and drifted over to their products. The price of the 43” w...

I purchased a 43" Samsung AU8000 for gaming purposes and movie watching. The TV was very easy to set up and install, its super light design and easy to follow instructions made it a breeze. I found the initial display on the TV to be bright and vivid out of the box and with some adjustment and colour correction the TV became much more natural and relaxed for extended viewing purposes.
The AU8000 supports 100hz refresh rates, 60fps gaming at 4K resolution, 10bit colour depth, bluetooth 5.0 and Wifi 5 to support 5ghz and 2.4ghz bandwidths. It f...
Read moreeatures all of the main HDR methods and has amazing out of the box audio with a four down facing speaker setup. It has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB 2.1 ports. The TV also supports Game Mode and Auto Low Latency Mode for Xbox consoles. If you have a new generation Xbox like the Series X or Series S the AU8000 works great for those consoles. Only missing out of support for 120fps@4k gaming. The AU8000 is reasonably priced for its feature list and has support for all the most popular apps like most Samsung TV's. This years model is a improvement over last years 2020 TU8000 and shares multiple features from that past model. I would recommend this TV for anyone looking for a small model 4K TV for Movies and Games.Purchased in at JB Hi-Fi.

2021 au 8ooo do you take off protective film,as color has washed out look.
Chris
NO! The film is NOT supposed to be taken off and will ruin the picture quality if you do. Easy mistake, as so many screens come with a "protective' film. This ISN'T one of them.
