This TV is beautiful, Slim and gives a gorgeous picture. Even better it is super affordable for what you get.
You can basically get a 75" 4K UHD TV for just under $2k AUD. pretty hard to beat that really.
Also works beautifully with the Samsung Q600A soundbar. And if you watch movies or like to game then I highly recommend getting a Samsung Q series sound bar as they sync seamlessly and are designed to work together. And the sound quality combined is beautiful!
If I had a criticism, and the only reason why I gave 4 not 5 stars... is the qual...
Read moreity 'blacks'. I understand the different projection methods give different quality black projections, just this was something that was never explained to me when I bought it (notice they only ever show beautiful high colour pictures in the shop?). To be honest it probably wouldn't have swayed my decision as the price point for what you get is excellent. But if you are unaware and you watch a show with alot of dark spaces (think night-time, shadows, out of space etc.), then you will be looking at it thinking.. is this really 4K? It can be pretty poor and disappointing. But like my title states. For 95% of viewing you can't go wrong. and for the price I am happy to overlook average dark scenes. All in all it is a great TV for the price. Highly recommend.Purchased in March 2022 at Harvey Norman for $1,995.

Experience with Samsung support has been terrible. I would stay away. The TV performs well but picture is poor on an angle.
The problem - TV does not come with record and timeshift capability. They are in the manual (noted as region specific) and the specifications page on the website does not clearly state they are not included in Australia. I bought online - perhaps the mistake wouldn't have happened instore. My 5yo $300 TCL TV has these features so I was very surpised when I unboxed and they weren't available.

Read mores disappointing. I offered to buy a more expensive TV which was on sale ($600 off), but wanted to know if they could take back the other TV, for a portion of my purchase price. Samsung requested I go back to the retailer, which I did, but they could not help. Samsung refused to help with the unwanted TV. However, most annoying was the sale price on the more expensive TV expired while I was dealing with the retailer. Having convinced myself I would just have to resell the old TV with no support from Samsung, when I went to buy the more expensive TV, the sale price was no longer available. I asked Samsung if they could honour it, given the unfortunate situation, and they said no. It was only expired by 12 hours. To their credit, they did offer me a 20% discount after 90 minutes on the phone, but this fell short $150 on the sale price that had just expired. I felt I had been very flexible and that Samsung was not very helpful. Perhaps you will have a problem with your product and need some assistance - and for this reason I would not purchase any product from Samsung.Purchased in January 2022 for $995.

$1000 for this tv and it doesn’t even come with screws to attach it to the wall mount. That is disgusting, how much are screws really. Now I have to figure out what size I need go to Bunnings and get some. 10 minute job turned into an hour job. But hey Samsung just saved themselves 2 cents…. Typical penny pinching at the expense of consumer experience. How much is a happy customer worth 2cents? Obviously not!

I recently purchased a Samsung AU8000WXXY 43 inch 2021 model.
I don't have wi fi at my property, the TV can still be used without the internet.
Installation is easy all you need to have an antenna connection and a power point.
The Samsung TV automatically tunes your stations it takes around 30 seconds.
I also use a Samsung Dex cable to mirror images of my Samsung phone to the TV
There are a lot of choices on the TV using the remote to adjust the colour, sound and so on, and it is easy to adjust to your personal taste.

This TV was just right for our requirements:
* Great picture quality - used mainly at night in a darkened room. There are a range of picture modes and an ability to fine tune the picture settings if you want to. Very happy with the colour and contrast.
* Can be used with a small sound bar: the TV feet are height adjustable so at the higher setting a sound bar can fit underneath without blocking the view of the TV. This is a great design feature that not many TVs have. The width between the feet is 65cm. Works great with the Bose small sound bar. The sound on the TV itself is good in the small room it's in, but it's next level with the sound bar.
* Easy to set up, connects to wifi easily
* Pairs easily with bluetooth headphones

Bought this TV one week ago. Before this I owned a 46inch Sony Bravia which I had for 14 years. This is my first Smart Tv that did not require a Foxtel box or an Apple TV box to connect to streaming service.
Very impressed with the Smart TV functionality.
Was slightly tricky to connect originally but since then has been sensationally easy to use. The picture quality via HD and 4K is exceptional. Crystal clear vision that I almost feel I’m part of the action ( especially with this size screen!).
The TV is very responsive, and the Samsung free...
Read more TV channels are fantastic. My teenage girls and I are loving the music channel VEVO, it’s on all the time in our home. The TV speakers are not very good versus my old Sony Bravia. I was not that surprised when I heard them as I had read all the previous reviews advising this. I was therefore prepared with the purchase of a soundbar system by Samsung to compliment the TV. Now I have a magnificent home cinema room with my massive 85inch TV with an incredible surround sound experience which has changed our family time in front of the TV immensely. We love watching our streaming services via this TV as it has brought our whole family together. We never knew TV could be so good.Purchased in October 2021 at Appliances Online.

I recently bought this Samsung smart TV. My daughter and I unboxed it to set it up, removing the wrapping, polystyrene, clear tape around the frame and the removable matte film on the screen, whilst following the setup guide. As we removed the screen protector and were switching it on, it was evident that there was a picture visible through the film, but not on the glass where the film had been partially removed, where it looked like a bright white screen. At that point, we stopped, reread instructions, searched online for advice, then phoned S...
Read moreamsung customer care. The technician explained that the protective film was actually an antiglare film that should not be removed as it was essential to the functioning of the TV. We were quite shocked to hear this, as I had previously owned a Samsung TV and had recalled having to remove a protective film prior to use, we were accustomed to this process from other electrical and electronic appliances, and there was nothing on the screen to warn that it should not be removed. After further discussions with Samsung staff, we were advised that this constituted inappropriate use by us and that Samsung would not cover the repair or replacement. I explained that the edges of the film were not sealed or protected but were clearly visible and easily removed, hence my assumption that it was to be removed. Although we attempted to replace the film, this was not possible and the picture has been significantly compromised, to the point that the TV is totally unusable. The cost of repair is almost 90% of the purchase price. Too late, I found many posts on Samsung own forum about recent model TVs (over the past 12 months or so) having the same issue, with Samsung neither agreeing to repair, nor rectifying by applying warning stickers to the screens, despite it being a known issue. After many attempts at having Samsung cover the repair costs, escalating my complaint at each step, it’s a firm no. I now have a TV that is non-functioning and am faced with the choice of paying for the repair myself or dropping it in the tip and buying another.Purchased in June 2021.

My Tv of more than 7 years broke down, so looking for a new TV was easy. I knew I wanted a Samsung as I own a Samsung Android phone. JB Hi Fi had this one for sale & they even reduced the cost of the extended warranty. Set up was a breeze & the 4K picture quality is beyond fantastic, especially when I am playing games on my PS4. I love this TV, it has all the features I could ever ask for & the amount of channels offered on Samsung's own TV channel is amazing. If you are looking for a 43" TV, look no further than this brilliant Samsung. I'm very happy with my purchase & I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

English isn’t my first language so please no hate. The TV is great, i love the video and the quality that TV does provide. The sound may need improvement although. I have a speaker plug in for the TV so sound isn’t an issue, yet it sometimes echoes meaning that it is a bit annoying sometimes when it gets accidentally turned up. The video quality is very good and i have not seen a better TV screen anywhere else that is affordable. Very good TV do like it a lot. Thank you Samsung!

About a month ago I came home from work and threw my keys into the basket under the TV. I missed and hit the TV screen instead. I discovered that even a tiny scratch on a flat screen is fatal, You Tube DIY fix it couldn’t help me, so it was time for a new TV.
We have a small house, so a big TV looks silly, 43” is just about right. I went to JB HI-Fi and was overwhelmed with choice. Various websites recommended the Samsung range, the one I had ruined was an earlier model so I was tempted and drifted over to their products. The price of the 43” w...

We purchased two 65inch Samsung QLED TV's for $1800 each from Harvey Norman. The TV is a smart TV with all the latest technology. The installation of the TV was simply and easy with purchase of a wall mount kit (not included with the TV) making the job a breeze. We connected the TV to a hardwired NBN connection and basically just had to turn the TV on, register the product and the smart TV did the rest. Picture quality is superb, with easy navigation of the remote to all the various apps and channels. If I was to have the slightest negative it would be that the sound could be better... It's good, but I did expect that with a TV of this quality that the sound could be improved particularly when watching movies.

Questions & Answers
Samsung AU8000 UA65AU8000WXXY (65") Can I record with a 32 USB stick for recording my tv shows. Thank you.
The ability to record is region specific. It is called ‘Extended PVR’. The 55” AU8000 purchased in Australia does not have this function, even though it is in the user manual. Check the specs list in your country. Also, I think you need a usb hard drive, not a usb stick.
Is this a "Google TV"
I'm not sure, I don't have wifi or internet connected to the tv. Maybe ask samsung they could answer your question.
Awesome Carolyn. Do you know why ppl who dont know the answer to question feel compelled to say so?
Youre not the only one.
Hi Neil. It is a smart tv and you need a Samsung account to link it. I created one when I bought it. Not sure of the answer about Google TV as I’m an Apple user and it still links to screen mirror.
I hope this is helpful
Hello, What sort of PVR does the AU8000 have?
Can you record a channel, and watch something else?
Cheers
