This is perfect for me i just love it.it works really good.
It cleans my clothes just as i want. This is not so much loud. I love the child lock feature a lot because my kid always try to touch it and change the functions. It's very powerful. Oh yes i forgot its main feature because of which i bought it is that it don't tangle clothes.tangled clothes are really annoying thanks to Samsung they solved my problem.

Excellent Machine
We had one of the 8 kg Samsung washers exchanged under a recall following some catching on fire. We had the old one for 5 years without problems and chose another Samsung in the hope there might be another recall in 5 years-:)
We chose to upgrade to the 8.5 after reading some indifferent reviews of the current 8 kg model and The Good Guys arranged everything for us and the upgrade only cost $83 as it was on special at the time.
It was money well spent, as the 8.5 seems to have a much greater capacity than the .5kg increase would indicate....Read more
The bowl seems around 20-25% larger, and we do significantly fewer loads a week. It also has 2 filters and cleans the clothes better, with less tangling. The only disadvantage of the new model is that the automatic water-level takes an eternity to complete. I have a theory about why some Samsung machines caught on fire, which is just a guess, but I'll share it here. I think the problem is that the automatic water level setter is calibrated with a goal of maximising the water efficiency rating, and the machine does not put in enough water for the load, causing the motor to work harder than it should. So I'd advise you to set the level manually.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Another piece of Samsung rubbish
Will this one break down just outside the stated warranty period. If it does do not expect Samsung to assist you. Will it catch on fire? Choose another brand for piece of mind. Do not expect them to be helpful or cheery. Can provide examples to individuals if you pm your number. Buy any brand but Samstung!!!!!!!

Big and Quiet
I have only had this machine for two weeks. It is the replacement for the recall.
What I can tell you is the bowl is big and you can fit a lot in. I would like it to spin just a bit better, so the cloths have less water in them, but it is still OK. Very easy to use, but it is deep, so if your short, you may have trouble reaching to the bottom of the machine. It is also very quiet. My only complaint so far, is the outlet for the water is on the side. So while you may stand there and measure in the shop, you will need to take into account the pipe sticking out on the left side, once it is fitted. Its also on the wrong side for my sink, but the pipe does reach the outlet.

Nice and compact .
Machine works well, occasionally it comes up with an error code but is easily reset . We are very happy with it and simple to use . The lint filter work really well so it should be cleaned after every wash which is again very easy to do .

Thanks to reviews here i made a great decision
Ok, its been 3 months roughly. Great washing machine as i have a family of 10... lint must be checked all the time otherwise ive had no problems. You will need to have extra room as it is a big machine and you will need extra space for hose outlet. Clean and great wash everytime.... i do recommend this samsung washing machine... i shall do another review in 6-12months. Thanks

Great machine
I bought this as my old frontload washer needed replacing. It is very quiet compared to my old machine, washes well, and removes all that troublesome lint that usually remains on clothes at the end of the cycle. Have used the power wash with hot water once for very grubby jeans and they have never looked so clean. For lightly soiled clothes I just use the quick wash function with great results. Not having the agitator is a bonus as clothes don't get so tangled with each other as with other top loaders, and I find that the clothes come out relatively dry so require less line drying time. Am very satisfied with this purchase, but I did do my homework before purchasing.

Does a great job
Got this machine pretty well because my old one died and I needed a replacement 'now'. As it happened I found this one on the floor of a local store ready for delivery.
If I had had more time, I would have looked for one that was more energy-efficient. But apart from that, I couldn't be happier.
It has a glass top, allowing you to check what's happening without needing to lift the lid. And although it has a number of settings, the feature that I like and use most is its ability to weigh the load and select an appropriate time. It also has a little gizmo which catches lint and lets you know when its caught enough to need removing. Magic!

Rubbish machine worst one ever had
Tangles clothes like nothing else nearly ties shirt sleeves and pants legs together, on spin cycle is so easy to trip off on unbalance weather there is a full load or next to nothing in machine. On a positive note it does wash clothes pretty well .All the positive reviews I read prior to purchasing this machine must have been written by Samsung or by a rental crowd.

Very smart looking washing machine and it works a treat!
Cleans and rinses clothes very well.
Clothes come out in good condition with less lint than they went in, can tell by what is caught in the dual lint filters.
Makes the usual washing machine noises, I'm happy with that.
Favourite features, large drum, see through lid (kid's love it and I can see how well it is doing its job and where in the cycle it is up to).

Good top loading washing machine with large lint filters
Quite machine during washing cycle. Has 2 large lint filters which do a good job of catching the lint and easy to clean. It can handle a large load upto 8.5kg. Have mainly used the fuzzy (auto) wash feature which handles the water level automatically. Not sure how reliable it is, but so far it is a good top loader washing machine that I would recommend.

Finally!!! I found one!!
I was really sceptical purchasing this washer due to Samsung washer fires but i did my research and discovered this model was fine.
I previously owned an AEG front loader (my first front loader) and hated it.
The only fault with this machine is the water outlet being on the left side of the machine but it isn't a major issue really.
I love the 2 big filters on the side. All these new washers tell you they have no filters because the machine rids of it but i don't believe that as now i have no lint on my clothes.
I love being able to adjust ...Read more

Very Good Washer
Cleans and rinses well on auto settings. Not harsh on clothes, Quiet and can handle big loads. The machine looks very nice and performs great. Just make sure it fits your laundry before you decide. Fitted mine perfectly.
Bought from Masters (Only they had it). They even delivered it for free. This model is something Samsung got right.
I've had it for nearly a year and it's been a great machine so far!

Ticks all the boxes
A really good washing machine. Had it for 7-8 months now and initially had concerns about the plastic lid but you can see what's going on inside, open the lid really wide to load and despite being plastic is very robust. Washes really well with a wide variety of wash/rinse options. It's important to ensure that the machine has all four supports on the floor and that it's level when setting it up initially (plenty of scope for any adjustments necessary). It's quiet, efficient, doesn't vibrate and washes the clothes well, very glad we bought it. Also plays Schubert when the cycle's finished.

Washes really well
I've had this machine now for over six months and really have no regrets at all. The look of the machine really attracted me when I first saw it, but I was hesitant as Samsung had been involved in a few house fires set off by their washing machines (turns out they were older models). Anyway, I am so glad I bought this machine. No faults to speak of - I noticed some of the other reviewers talking about the drain house coming from the side - but this is no issue for me. Washes clothes really well. A very quiet machine. No problems and so pleased I bought this. I bought it from Masters, and they provided excellent service - including free delivery.

Love it
I bought this machine a few months ago and it has been wonderful. It's quiet and washes beautifully. I love all the options. I love the look of it. I'm just in love love love. Fingers crossed.
Update
I have had this machine for over a year now. I still love it. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it tangles your clothes sometimes but its not really a problem. To fix this I put it on a gentle wash setting. Great washing machine!

A couple of caveats but seems to be good .
I would prefer a simple white machine but this seemed to be a bit better built than most and had reasonably good reviews .
CONS :
The drain hose comes out the side, Epic fail ... There is a hose that comes out the back but it's been blanked off, I can't help but wonder what went so wrong .
Only 2 of the feet are adjustable, I used a furniture coaster to get it level .
Shiny black top along with the glass is a fingerprint magnet . I seriously don't understand the point of a glass lid . Who gets their giggles watching their cloths wash .
Pros : Lint filter seems to work well .
Quiet as far as washing machines go .
Easy to operate, I didn't have to read the manual but I am a male :)...Read more

Ok
Washes well but tangles sleeves and legs on tops and pj's, etc. also ties on shorts. Does not seem to rinse well on one rinse. Doesn't seem to wear out clothes in the wash, so that's good! Fits lots of washing in so can wash quilts, etc. Apart from that ok to good.

Yes it has been discontinued. Sadly. Not sure if a similar one has replaced it. There's a couple that look similar. ????
