Great Fridge, no noise issues
Great fridge, quiet, sleek, excellent value for money. Really good door storage, excellent internal lighting.
Followed delivery instructions to not turn on for a few hours post delivery.
Really like ice dispenser.
Shop around, online and at store prices can vary by as much as $500. We found Good Guys at Artarmon exceptional in both price and service. Even better than other Good Guy stores in our area. Delivery was next day.

6months down the track we still really like this fridge. If disaster struck and we had to buy a new fridge, absolutely would repurchase this one again.

Noisy noisy fridge!
We received this fridge about 3 months ago in replacement of another model SJ-F624ST which had an issue with the freezer heating element as soon as we received it, and we wish we never got another Sharp fridge again.
This new model SJ-XE624F is incredibly noisy and does not seem to switch off! The fan only ever switches off when the fridge door is opened or when the fridge is in defrost mode which is rare.
We have been in contact with sharp and the service agent who acts on behalf of sharp but nothing has been resolved. We have had their ...Read more
technicians look at the fridge 5 times, twice to replace the noisy fan which made no difference. We don't believe the fridge is running at the correct temperature and had data loggers placed in the fridge for a week to record this, and even though both Sharp and their service centre say it is keeping within specification, why is the fridge running on an average of 7-8 degrees when it is set at 4 degrees? Perhaps this is why the fridge is always on? I have asked sharp to call me to discuss as I am extremely disappointed with this fridge and never expected so much noise and frustration from a brand new fridge! I am still waiting. Every time I email or call sharp, it takes over a week for them to get back to me and I believe this is very bad customer service. I have been dealing with a Team Leader from Sharp and can provide details on request. I recommend you steer clear of this model unless you want a noisy fridge!2 comments

Very noisy !
I purchased this fridge thinking that the Sharp invertor technology compressor would be quiet. To my great disappointment the fridge is very noisy and makes it annoying for an open plan living. SHARP customer service was not helpful and said all new fridges are noisy. I know for a fact this fridge noise level is not acceptable.

Very Noisy Fridge! i believe the compressor is faulty or just damn noisy.
I am very disappointed with my brand new Sharp Fridge I purchased from GoodGuys about 2months ago.
From day 1, it was making very loud noises which sharp customer service said its normal and all new fridge are noisy for the first few weeks. Guy on the phone suggested to wait for a month then call them back if the fridge is still noisy. So i waited a month and the fridge was still the same. Upon ringing Sharp customer Service again, they asked me to ring domain appliance who sent out a technician. Technician again said the noise is normal.

I bought it about three years ago, the fridge stopped cooling the top compartment today. Two bottom freezer compartments, are ok . Motor is running, no problems with power. What could be wrong?

Hi Chandra, you can turn off the unit for 24 hours and switch it back on. If this does not resolve the issue we recommend contact a Sharp approved service centre near you for assistance. https://www.sharp.net.au/support/customer-support/service-centre-locator
Thanks for your advice . The unit is off, fan has been taken out and awaiting replacement Freezer Motor Fan, that is what I have been told ( by repairers that I I engaged and i thought were very prompt in diagnosing and fixing such problems ) could be the problem. I have also been told that there are no guarantees that once the fan is replaced, the fridge is going to work or not. Initially I was told it is the sensor was the problem, then I was told it is the FAN . I am not sure what is next . I have taken the matter up with the company that I engaged to diagnose and fix the problem. That is another matter that I am pursuing apart from getting the refrigerator back on line that has been off for more than 10 days.
I went and saw Good Guys where I bought the unit from . They are of no help at all although it is only seven months outside the warranty period. They told me to contact SA. When I contacted the nearest Sharp Service provider that is listed on their site, they said that they no longer service Sharp Equipment. And Then I rang the next nearest, which is about 85 km from my place, they said they don't go that far. And Sharp Australia, who I have been trying to contact through their wed site, did ring me up once, with a promise to follow up by email, but I have found them to be little help if anything . I think GG sold me a lemon . And a repairer who so far has not identified the actual problem ... but one step at a time . I live in hope.

I am considering buying the 624L Sharp SJXE624FSL fridge. My kitchen cavity is 178cm-H x 97cn-W by 66cm-D so fitting the fridge should not be an issue. My only concern is will the fridge fit through my doorway which is 79 cm wide, versus the Sharp fridge depth of 77.8 cm? I don't want to go through the cost (and hassle) of calling a Sharp authorised technician to remove & refit the doors should the fit be an issue.

Called your customer care team and got the phone number for the local authorised repairer. After the repairer changed one part from the fridge on his first visit, the problem is still there. Called the repairer again and the repairer came for the second time. Now am waiting for the repairer to come for the third time with a new part. Sharp needs to improve its quality control, IMO. I will keep posting here until the case is finalised.
To continue this case. The repairer came for the third time with the parts. He replaced the parts. However, the fridge is still running constantly (producing noise all the time). The repairer quickly reported to Sharp. On 22 December 2017, Sharp represtnative rang me and told me that they would offer the store credit and the store would contact me in the following few days. I contacted the store and asked for a replacement fridge. The replacement fridge was delivered on 2 January 2018. The new fridge is working well so far. Thank Sharp for prompt response to the technician's report and offering the replacement. It was the dealer who slowed the replacement process.
