Another new car thanks to Smartleasing

I've just received my third new car in 11 years that I've leased through Smartleasing, every time has been a care free experience even though I've dealt with a different consultant each time. A traditional bank loan would see you paying the bank interest, not the case with Smartleasing. What doesn't go to paying for the lease goes into my account to use for running cost including petrol and the upkeep of the vehicle. I highly recommend Smartleasing as a smart way to obtain your next new car.

I had a smooth experience with Smartleasing in getting my car lease sorted. The agent was responsive to my emails and enquiries and was prompt in providing the information I asked for.
I asked for a lot of clarification on multiple things and he was patient and provided detailed information about the lease, payments and terms and conditions.

Being my first lease EVER, I was apprehensive after reading the negative reviews from some people. But I found nothing negative in my dealings with them.

From my initial enquiry, to signing the lease and getting the car - everything ran smoothly and efficiently.

I did have to follow up a couple times for some things - but they were always prompt in responding.

Would recommend to anyone.

Very happy with the process. All questions were answered in an easy to understand way. This was my first leasing experience and was relatively seamless. The only criticism was that the information once my car was delivered was a bit limited, but a quick phone call with questions had it all sorted.

As above I’m not sure what else to say initially excellent lacking communication at the final stage. The point of having the signatures at the end is too onerous on the witness

Great leasing arrangments. All claims paid promptly. Customer service and online portal are excellent. The costs of the lease were only changed when I increased my kilometres. It was easy to change the kms and increase my deductions.

Can you please advise how long the current settlement time is. I signed an agreement with a delivery date of 31/3/20 and am still waiting, apparently on the bank.

No replies from my Settlement Manager since 1/4/20 and am currently ringing the Customer Service line everyday receiving the same answer, "we're waiting on the bank." No one can answer if my Settlement Manager is even chasing the lender up or at what stage of process it is at. Furthermore, the dealership is also ringing your company every second day regarding the extended delay.

I understand the unique environment currently, hence my patience, however surely you could at least give an estimate delivery date - this delay is costing me hugely as I'm requiring a hire car in the meantime for work.

Escalating to Fair Trading will be my next stop.

Has anyone found their lease package included 6 extra insurance products and services that were not fully disclosed? You would discover that the principal finance amount is around $6-7k more than the actual cost of the car. The principal financed amount is found deep in page 3 of the Lease Quote within the Terms and Conditions, and you may find it is more than you recall the car costing. If so, I'd be interested to hear about your experience. I have realised it has happened to our two current leases, 1 and 2 years old, but if you call now for a quote now (post Royal Commission?) that the same products are disclosed.
