my first premium headphone. I was a bit apprehensive to spend so much on a headphone but now I am glad I did. The noise cancellation is pretty awesome and there is nothing to complain about the sound quality. I like my songs with extra bass and the headphone delivers on it. The build is pretty solid and feels premium.

But a couple of pet peeves...
1. Ears get warm with prolonged use
2. The voice guidance completely mutes the audio which can be very annoying when you are on a call and the headphone changes profile.

I purchased these after considering the Bose QCII and watching several YouTube reviews and determining these were the best in class. They are excellent! They sound great and isolate virtually all surrounding noise. Bought a two sets of these, one for myself and one for my girlfriend, and we both love them. Sound quality is really good and the noise cancellation is probably the best on the market right now (as of time of writing the Bose 700 headphones are still unreleased, so we'll see how they stack up).
They are super light and very comfy. I use them for Xbox (gaming) which paired with a mod mic is the ultimate gaming set up, they last for 8 hours straight gaming and a convenient 15min charge give you an hour if need to be.

Bought these about 3 months ago and am absolutely loving them. When I first tried out the XM3’s I actually didn’t enjoy the sound as it was too bass heavy, whereas I like a nice balanced sound. I ended up trying them out with some custom EQ curves and they sounded a lot better so I thought I’d buy them and see how they performed with the companion app.

Once I set the headphones up with the app, and spent a few hours tuning the sound to my personal taste (scooping out a lot of the bass) and now they sound phenomenal!

I absolutely love my headphones. I suffer from Misophonia and these headphones have made my stress levels around that soooo much better. I couldn't believe at first how effective they are at blocking noises, especially the bass sounds that just drive me crazy if someone nearby is playing loud music.

I find them really helpful when I'm working and need to concentrate. I just pop these on, with the noise cancelling on but no sound playing through and I just don't get anywhere near as distracted.

These by far have the best noise cancelling of any i could find to try
Better than the Bose QC35 and the Sennheisers. Both of which I will review.

There were some reviews online that said the gestures didn't work in the cold. I tried here in the mornings when it was 4 and 5 degrees ( C ) .. Maybe it needs to be colder. The gestures worked fine. No problem.

The Sony XM3 are a high quality pair of headphones. The sound quality of the headphones are excellent. I didn't find the bass to be unnaturally high, I thought the sound profile was quite balanced out of the box. You can of course make excellent tweaks with the Sony Headphones Connect App, which are superior to Bose's, just because of that built-in EQ functionality alone.
