Can’t believe they’re so awful

published

Was resisting buying the new 6 pack as they are less value for money but husband didn’t realise and grabbed some rainbow paddle pops on special. We didn’t realise they’d changed the recipe and what a disappointment they taste so bland, almost like glue. Disgusting. No idea how these passed a product testing. No one will eat them.

Purchased in December 2021 at Woolworths for A$3.00.

The stick was the best part...

published

Could hardly finish the first paddle pop, let alone the entire 6 pack. And honestly, the stick at the end had more flavour then the ice-cream.
Please bring back original recipe because no one eating a rainbow paddle pop goes in with the intention of being hEaLtHy - this isnt benefiting anyone, just losing you customers.
Will not be buying again until the old recipe is back.

Purchased in December 2021 at Woolworths for A$5.00.

Leaves a bad taste in mouth

published

The new recipe is disgusting there is a horrible chemically-metallic aftertaste and the icecream has a gritty consistency. The rainbow one is the worst. I heard they did this to comply with NSW schools but all kids I know are refusing to eat them now also, and I dont know many kids who normally turn down icecream!

Purchased for A$8.00.

INEDIBLE

published

The new recipe is vile. I was looking forward to one of these as a treat on a hot day but promptly put the whole box in the bin after one mouthful. Please bring back the old recipe or I will never be buying them again.

Was 10 pack now 6 and product taste is now disgusting

published

Used to love paddle pops for many years. taste has gone downhill......dont know what or why you have changed things but doing this in addition to scamming customers and now only selling in a 6 pack rather than 10 with no real reduction in price is ridiculous.....would rather buy Coles product version now......why scam loyal customers AND change your recipe so it tastes like some kind of jello pudding......stupid decisions

Purchased in December 2021 at Coles for A$10.00.

You need to change the recipe back.

published

I cannot believe the taste of the new paddle pops. I thought it was just me, but after trying the chocolate and rainbow paddle pops there is no flavour! After the ice cream melts into my mouth it tastes bland and horrible. You are losing all your customers if you dont change it back. Very sad to say because I have loved paddle pops for years.

Purchased in December 2021 at Coles for A$5.99.

The taste and texture is completely ruined!
I used to be hooked on rainbow paddle pops. I adored their unique taste and texture but now they are worse than Aldi version! Please change them back!

Such a let down!

published

Streets have you changed the recipe? The rainbow paddle pops are now tasteless and boring. Once a family favourite - no longer any more.

Terrible. Whatever you changed, change it back

published

The traditional Paddle Pop has been ruined by Streets. They have made some stupid decision to make them healthier for school canteens to the detriment of the overall population. Taste is awful, texture is weird and the size has shrunk. A box from the supermarket has gone from a 10 pack to a 6 pack with no real change in price when you consider overall size of the individual item. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I am deeply saddened.

Purchased in November 2021 at Coles for A$4.00.

Contains gluten now.

published

As someone who suffers from Coeliacs Disease, Paddle Pops were one of my safer options as it didnt contain gluten. I bought a box a few days ago and went to have one last night and only just saw that it now contains gluten. Im lucky I didnt eat it. It needs to be changed back.

Had to throw out box as no one would eat the rest

published

Everyone loved the Streets Paddle Pops in all flavours but since changing the taste and texture no one would eat another after the first. Can't believe they thought the change was a good idea.

Horrible, texture & taste was awful

published

I loved rainbow paddle pops around a year ago, eating them in summer time; but now this summer they are terrible! The texture is thick & discusting, the taste is nothing like it used to be, and its icy. Im disappointed wont buy them again

Purchased in November 2021 at Woolworths for A$5.00.

They've changed

published

I have always loved paddle pops but after buying some 3 days ago I tasted one today. They taste fake like they're full of thickeners, which has changed the consistency of them. They don't taste anything like a paddle pop and are so awful I won't ever buy them again. I can't believe that in this social climate of pushing healthy food, Streets would go backwards with their icecream. Whoever came up with the new recipe and did the taste test should be sacked.

Purchased at Woolworths Physical store for A$5.00.
