Brilliant! Used at least once if not twice a week and still kicking after 2 years
Been a really great appliance and worth the money.
I use this at least once a week if not twice and find that it's a great capacity for 2 people (with leftovers to freeze).
I've made a variety of dishes included casseroles, stews, soups, stocks, roasts, desserts - the list goes on!
Cannot highly recommend enough.
Everything!
Did get some slight crackling along the sides of the dish, my fault for adding boiling stock to it before heating. Was out of warranty but customer service was more than happy to provide a list of retailers where I could get a new insert (approx $50), after washing careful I found I didn't need a new insert and it's continued working without problem.

We've owned a Sunbeam HP5520 for about 12 months and are very happy with the design and performance of the cooker. It's great to be able to assemble the ingredients in the cooker, switch it on and then come home to a hot tasty meal, especially in winter. We heard about how good slow cookers were before buying ours and now we understand why people low them. The slow cooker is great for curries that taste better when cooked for a few hours on low heat. We initially bought some slow cooker recipe books but now we just invent our own recipes.
Does exactly what it is designed for
Not really a major problem but the cooking dish is quite bulky and needs care when washing to avoid damage.

Place the desired meal/ingredients in the slow cooker and leave it to slow cook over a period of about 6-8 hours and you end up with a delicious hearty meal.
The shape of the cooker (oval shape) is great. You can fit a few lamb shanks without any problems. It is easy to clean. It is also energy efficient and reliable. Trusted brand!
The food did not always cook evenly. The outside cooked more than the inside because of the element being on the outer not at the bottom..

I've had my HP3520 for 2 yrs and I make casseroles using 1kg of meat and vegetables. It's extremely easy to use and easy to clean. You still have to brown the meat first if you want extra flavour but I've had recipes where you just put the raw meat in with all the other ingredients. Once the meat is browned in the frying pan, just put it in the slow cooker along with all the other ingredients (booklet recommends putting vegetables in the bottom and meat on top). You can cook it on Low for 6-8 hrs or High for 3-4 hours and the results are di...
Read morevine - beautiful flavour and meat (gravy beef, chuck steak) that melts in your mouth - yum! The ceramic crock that contains the food is easy to clean, you just use a bit of elbow grease to remove baked on residue. The glass lid is clear so you can see the contents and there is no noise at all whilst cooking. If you want to cook more than 1kg of meat with vegetables, you may need a larger slow cooker. Makes the best casseroles from cheaper cuts of meat, loads of flavour, easy to use and clean. Ideal for small families.- 3 reviews
This is my first slow cooker and found your reviews very helpful and bought a Sunbeam HP5520. I am using it frequently and it is cooking rabbit, turkey drumsticks, chicken and everything else perfectly. It is a real slow cooker and I often have it cooking for upto 11 hours.
I like the long cooking time, no food has burnt yet.
The pot needs to be cleaned well
