Limited number of recipies
Using the slow cooker is easy to use however struggle to find ideas on what next to cook. A cook book in the box would be a great idea for more meal ideas. Online i can only find "Easy slow cooking recipes" where instead i would like to more advanced recipes.

Good size
Found this on special at Harvey Norman and for a family of 5 it is the perfect size. I also love the oval shape and easy to use functions. I can cook almost anything in this.
It doesn't have the features of the more expensive models and brands but a good basic start to really see whether you would use it or not and maybe upgrade in the future to have more features such as timer etc

You need to invest in one of these babies!
gets the job done with minimal effort, this product was only $35 from the good guys and has not let us down yet! We use it nearly every night, and it is the most reliable appliance in my kitchen, the whole family can use it and I would change it for any other expensive brand! It gets the job done!

Excellent product
I was looking for a slow cooker because I love to make stews and I work long hours and most of the time cannot be bothered to cook when I get home. Having this slow cooker is amazing because I use it for meals for the week. Highly recommended! Great product

So far so good
This is a great slow cooker. I like that it is all in one pot - sear and cook. Very easy to clean and easy use. I love that it has fast, slow and different heating options.
Plenty of useful features and we have used it quite a few times since buying it.

not like they used to be - terrible quality - had to return two of them!
I had my original one of these for 10 years and used it up to 3 times a week for a year when we were renovating our kitchen. I have about 100 different slow cook recipes in rotation. Eventually my original one started to loose the finish on the crock itself - went from matt to glossy and then had to be replaced. The first thing I noticed about this one was that it was so much more lightweight, the body of it and the lid didnt feel like the old one, although it looked identical. On taking it out of the box I noticed that several sections of ...Read more
the crock were sharp and the glaze wasnt adhered to them. I took it back as I knew this would be a problem down the track. I put it down to a one off. I got a replacement and when I inspected it I noticed that it had a very tiny fault in the glaze, however it was only on the base and I decided it would be ok. I tried to cook the first meal in it and had all the ingredients already in the crock, turned it on and immediately smelt strange, not just the smell you normally get from a new appliance. within seconds a blue black smoke appeared from the dial (within the dial) and the smell of plastic melting was apparent. I had to cook my meal on the stove top rather than waste it all. I returned the second one, but well twice bitten - I chose a different brand and have been totally put off sunbeam.Similar opinion? Love it!
Love this slow cooker. I got it from Myer and was a bit skeptical but I can't live without it now. There are so many great slow cooker recipes out there. You can make a variety of things such as chicken to soup. It is so easy and convenient. You can put the food in the slow cooker and not worry about it. Come home from a long day of work and nice nutritionist, healthy food is ready. The quality of sunbeam is great too. It is very easy to clean and can be stored away conveniently. Very affordable as well. Thumbs up!

Must have for those Cold Winter Nights
These Slowcookers are ideal for those cold winter days/nights and can cook just about anything without any constant checking. Just set these units to low and throw in just about any ingredients and away you go come back 4-6 hours later and blend up your masterpiece. Can cook the perfect Ribs (Just add your special sauce) and even better lamb shanks and its made from fantsatic materials that are the easiest to clean.

Easy to use and clean
For me, the slow cooker HP5520 is easy to use and clean. It cooks nice food, but not the same as traditional cooking if you really like old times food. So far I am happy with the result and I consider it very helpful in busy times, I also appreciate it keeps food warm for a while. It's quite new for me, but I am sure I will be using it very often.

Good, suitable, does the job
Cooks as a normal slow cooker would without various static temp settings: Off, Low, High, Keep Warm. It's just that it has no timer which is somewhat a downside. We have bought a powerpoint timer to account for this. Bought it at Harvey, so its good! It's a decent size too.

The Perfect Roasts
We have a tradition in the family to cook duck each Christmas and last Christmas it was a joy to cook using the slow cooker to do the initial cook and the oven to crisp. We can't live without it now for roasts. Hassle free. No burning the roast. Tender meat that even fussy kids with attempt. That has got to be a win

Love my slow cooker❤❤
I love that it does the job perfectly without the aid of too many confusing options. Just low, high and keep it warm. It's really easy to clean and it's dishwasher safe. It's big enough to cook for a family without taking up too much bench space. It would make a great gift too.

Love a slow cooker
So easy to use, it does all the cooking for you. Easy to prepare meals, by following the handy booklet of recipes provided with the device. Just throw all the ingredients in the morning, and slow cook it during the day and you have a wonderful meal when you get home. Very handy and love the stuff we've made with it.

This is very useful for making soup.
I am very happy with the cooking result, especially for beef with potatoes, and it's very easy to clean, just need to flush in the water. I'm very satisfied with this product, because it's save my time, I just need to put all stuff inside and waiting for cooking done.

Most Important: Is the Ceramic Coating Lead and Cadmium FREE in the Sunbeam Slow Cookers?
Slow Cooking can be Healthier for us (the Celsius being lower than a Gas Stove) but it becomes TOXIC when Lead and/or Cadmium are used in the glaze that coats the Ceramic Bowl OR Nasty Tephlon is used. Stainless Steel would be great - it's Good to have Options.
In the interest of Good Information Practices and Good Health, companies should always state on the package and advertisements if Ceramic Bowls, Oven Dishes, Cups and Plates are Lead and Cadmium FREE. This is a must in manufacture and buying practice for consumers. I have Oven Casserole Ceramic Dishes from a company overseas that openly state this Vital Info on the products. (Researcher 20+ Yrs)

I do not know. At the same time I am old enough for it to be irrelevant.
Customer C.Sunbeam
Hi Janetau. All of Sunbeam's slow cooker inserts meet the necessary requirements.
@Customer C. That is fine for you to just say that, though it needs to be backed up with verifiable test reports supplied to the customer. I asked for the documented test reports and was told they aren't available.
