I thought by the price <$NZ100 on sale, it would be a smaller food processor, but when it arrived was disappointed by the large size. However since then, Ive been using it daily. It fits well on bench and looks great. Quality of build is excellent and functionality the same. It remains pride of place next to my Blender.
Highly recommended product (I cant fault it)

I had an earlier model, this is superior. I like making a dough in the processor and in this one it comes together very quickly. I also like making a biscuit base for my cheesecakes and does the biscuits nice and fine.

I bought the LC5500 from Myer after my $70 Aldi machine finally cracked it after 5 years! (motor was still fine!) Turns out it was to last much longer than its doubly priced friend. The LC5500 performed okay for dips, sauces and batters but as soon as I put some hot soup in to blend, it cracked, but not enough to warrant a return (my bad in hindsight). While prepping my regular batch of hummus a couple of weeks ago the plastic cracked even more, the control knob became loose and would not work properly and a rubber seal busted in the base of th...
Read moree spindle then tore out black plastic chunks ruining a jolly good batch of hummus. I was incensed to check my date of purchase and the warranty period and just my luck, this Aussie battler had slumped itself over the 12 month warranty finish line, succeeding in doing it's part in the race for technological obsolescence. Do not buy if you're interested in a machine for serious use (i.e anything other than cool liquids) for longer than 12 months.Purchased in June 2022 for $140.

Chops through everything I’ve out into the food processor. Not sure why the instructions say don’t put it in the dishwasher for cleaning but mine goes in there and comes out sparkling. With the blender I’m not sure if the bottom can come off for thorough cleaning or not but that’s the only thing I can’t get to happen. Other than that the blender has been well used for smoothies.

We assembled the blender and ran it dry with the usual blending blade to see how it was when operating. It only has two speed settings and a ‘pulse’ button option. At the first setting, ‘1’ it operates at extreme (dangerous) speed and sounds like a tornado on rails.. the 2nd setting is just ridiculous at how fast it is and the pulse button is set at extreme speed. This thing is not safe in my view. We’ll be returning it to place of purchase today.

Hi Mememememe,
Thank you for your feed back. When operating this product it is quite a speedy little unit. When food is added it does slow it down to process it.
Questions & Answers
Just wondering if this product crushes biscuits well? I have a Kenwood that is terrible - leaves lots of big pieces, even after a considerable number of goes at it. Kath
