An absolute piece of rubbish of an appliance - I would not recommend this product to anybody, even if spare parts were available
Small and compact so fits nicely into cupboard
After 3 years and very little(minimal)use it bagan making a loud noise. I opened it up to find the cast metal broken off the motor armature. Its now ready for the bin.

OK
A good mixer if only the bowl was more tapered at the bottom it would bwe a very good machine for the home baker.
Portability. I bought it because the price was right.
The shape of the bowl is not right. I found I had to stand at the mixer with my spatula continually pushing the mixer towards the beaters. Apart from this, it is a good machine.

Bad
Not too happy.
It does not seem to mix well, misses a lot have to keep scapping sides down, beaters seem too much in middle of bowl. It also seems to make a lot of noise and smells like the old ozone the old sunbeams put out.
Does not have very high speed for whipping.
Seems to struggle with heavier things. Came with dough hooks but really could not mix pizza dough when I tried.
Only used a few times but glad I kept my $20 hand held by the look of other reviews.
Stainless bowl means I cant put it into microwave.
Not sure how the rubber grip will go over time either.
Compact
seems noisy and does not mix very well.

OK
I would recommend it for light duties only and THERE ARE NO SPARE PARTS meaning it will only do light jobs no heavy doughs and watch out or you'll strip the PLASTIC gears..
have had mine dfor 3 years and have used it only occasionaly so it's been a good little mixer. BUT
It's a bit loud no spare parts

i was very happy to receive this last year for mothers day it wasn't exactly the one i wanted but was the one i could afford.
With 4 kids i used it a lot for making birthday cakes and snakes used it to make whipped potato worked fine until christmas day when i was whipping up some cream for the pudding and all of a sudden it starts making this good awful sound and then starts to smell i turned it off looked down into the bowl of cream only to see shards of metal sitting on top of the partially whipped cream.
To say i was peed off would be putting it lightly.
I would not recommend this for any one for the price it just wasn't worth it.
Got it on special $99
broke with in 7 months

I was excited to have an electric mixer that I didn't need to hold onto to mix. But after a couple of uses I realised it doesn't mix the ingredients together very well it misses the centre of the bowl. Very diappointed my husband has just brought me a kitchenAid mixer, it was a lovely surprise but not everyone would lash out $700 on a mixer but it is nice to have a mixer that actually mixes well. Well i will have to start baking more to get our moneys worth.
Got it on special $70
doesn't do a good job mixing

Disappointing. Even more disappointing if I can't get spare parts as I just seriously bent a beater with a PLASTIC spatula trying to get the thing to mix butter and sugar properly.
It is compact and easy to store and move. Much lighter than older Sunbeam model that I am used to.
Very disappointed . not nearly as good as the old Sunbeam Mixmaster my mum had about 50 years ago. Doesn't mix well and is hopeless at creaming butter and sugar.

Excellent while it was working. Not worth buying if cogs wear out after minimal use. Buy a brand that does spare parts. Landfill here it comes.
Compact easy to use
Worn out plastic cogs that drive beaters. Hardly used. Can't replace worn out cogs. No spare parts.

Excellent
Had my mixer for two months. Very happy. No problem creaming butter and sugar. No problems mixing biscuits, cakes, muffins. Haven't used the dough hooks yet.
Compact, easy to store and move around the kitchen. Good size mixing bowl, easy to access.

I feel this machine would work better if it had larger beaters that reach the bottom and sides of the bowl can you buy bigger beaters for this model?

I have a mixmaster compact pro 5950 bought about 18 months ago. Tried using it this week and beaters/ hooks are not rotating even though the bowl definitely is. There is also a very strong electrical odour eminating from it. I purchased it from my local Myers store in Chatswood. Any suggestions on the problem?
