As someone with free access to both an industrial, plumbed in cafe style coffee machine at work and the Sunbeam Torino at home, I'm in the fortunate position to be able to draw a direct comparison between the two. The industrial one is a tad faster being always on, but the extent to which the Sunbeam can be programmed to optimise extraction temperature, shot volume and/or length and pressure in order to pursue the elusive perfect cup of Joe makes it the hands down winner. When we first started it up the steamer wouldn't work. I see there are a few reviews with the same comment. All we did was remove the water reservoir and re-seat it, no issues after that. Must be some air lock going on. This machine makes the best coffee, heaps better than any Breville machine I've had, excellent creme. I suggest the people who can't get a creme from this coffee machine need some serious coaching on how to make a coffee. Easy to clean and program, does consume a lot of water so a downside would be having to fill it so often.

Machine was opened and used once and the steamer stopped working, coffee had no cremma, and I did the call and got ( customer service was good) them to talk me through the changes to coffee grind, which by the way worked better but still spills everywhere not in the hopper, then it leaked for 10 mins after your brew the coffee, so was left with water on top of the coffee all the time sent it back got another one sent to the store opened it and the fist time I tried to steam milk the steamer wouldn't even work so back I went to the store again a...Read more

A high quality nice looking stylish espresso machine with extraction gauge very helpful for obtaining a perfect extract. Price wise think it could come down in price abit as a similar price you could purchase a commercial 2-3 cup espresso machine. It is very limited for storing cups on top and only fits 2 cups no room for anything else only tamp, would've been great if it was wider to hold/warm more cups. We have owned this espresso machine/burr grinder package for six months and we couldn't be happier with it. The espresso machine makes better coffee than any other machine we have owned over a number of years and better than some very highly recommeded Italian machines.
