I'm from Adelaide, had solar installed by Sunboost, trying to find out the final price. After deposit ect, to be paid to you by Brighte but every time I ring up I'm getting the run around they say I'll find out and ring you back but they never do. Been going on now for weeks sick and tired of it. Going to go to the ombudsmen to sort this matter out. Unless you sort it out immediately... Thanks Brian ID 133265

Hi Steve, usually after submitting the documents we receive the meter approval from the electricity distributor within 2 to 3 weeks, and that is the time we assign the installation job
It was about 4-5 weeks from first enquiry to installation
I've been waiting 5 months now getting the worse service and run around you could imagine. A corrupt company that needs to be shut down. Already reported to the ACCC and now going to fair trading. Dont do it!

Still struggling to get the wifi to work with the App on my phone.
Green LED is permanently on the dongle at the inverter.

Unfortunately I don’t reside at my property & haven’t attempted it yet but if you google “how to connect my growatt app to wifi solar system?” It comes up with some utube videos that might help.
I have heard it’s a struggle in the reviews, so I hope this helps. Best of luck.
If you have a solis system, youtube has links to help you connect. Otherwise contact the support team who will be more than happy to assist.

Yes they are CEC approved installers.

Please, for your own sake, use another solar company! Do not trust these people, after a threatening phone call from one of their people as we have caught them out in a lie, we are off to the lawyers tomorrow to commence legal action against them, as advised to us by Business and Consumer Affairs. Stay away from sunboost.

How do I log into my Sunboost solar system?

It depends on the model of the inverter you have and what it supports. The handover documentation should have given you the details of the features and the setup process. Mine is a Solis inverter so I followed the instructions, setup wifi and then created a login with ginlong.com (the manufacturer of solis inverters). Simples and now I can see it from my iphone, ipad and mac from anywhere.

What if the solar panels are in 50% shade? Would the system generate enough kw to work and feedback to the grid?

The selected installer will advise you the correct position to maximise your sun exposure - they do their homework befor they arrive - thats why the ask for photo’s of each side of your house so they can work our the suns position to give you the best return for your investment - everyone has shade at different times of the day - you will still be very happy with Sunboost - WE ARE !! That's the hard part, when deciding which installer to use...they all use different brands, they all install different sizes for the same house and they all charge different prices, so I am not sure how anyone makes the right decision .
