Really a RIP off

published

This was the worst skillet I ever purchased..it scratched, bubbled and peeled. It took about 6 months for the coating to fail. Really a piece of junk! While they were good, they were really good. Then became nonusable.

Excellent quality

published

I bought 2 frypans, a 32cm and 24cm 2 years ago. A couple of months after getting them I saw all the bad reviews on here and have been waiting for them to fall apart ever since. Because I assumed I would have to throw the pans away after a few months of use like so many reviewers on here, I have not treated my frypans with kid gloves.
I often cook on maximum heat on a direct gas flame (because- steak!), wash them in the dishwasher, occasionally use olive oil and these frypans are as good as the day I bought them. They've been excellent.
All I can conclude is that the quality of these products is really hit and miss, somehow I got lucky, but inconsistent quality on a product this expensive isn't good enough.

Does not interface with Bosch induction stoves. BEWARE!!

published

Purchased won at Victoria's basement Artarmon. 1st try fail. Scanpan works fine. Returned to seller refused refund. Had to send back to wholesaler to test. They claim that item miraculously works but wait, we'll give a refund. Now this retailer doesn't refund if the product works right, yet they agree to refund. What does that say? Keep away from the retailer due to questionable business procedures 2/ keep well away from the product!

Worst non-stick range ever purchased!

published

At first I thought these pans were the best. But after a month of use, everything began to stick. Followed the instructions to cook at low heat and keep the pan seasoned. But even cheap stuff from K-Mart is better and has stood the test of time. My Swiss Diamonds are virtually unusable now.

10 years & still love!

published

I've had my Swiss diamond casserole pot for 10 years now & I cannot live without it. I will be honest...I had a small fry pan which I had to throw out because the non stick wore off but I take complete responsibility - I cooked at high heat & didn't take proper care of it...I have now learnt from my mistakes & this little beauty has not let me down. Food tastes better when I cook in this pot & saves me turning on the oven when I need to roast up a small batch of veggies. I'm looking at purchasing set now that my other pots & pans are starting to show signs of age...looking forward to having a cupboard full of Swiss diamond wear!

Swiss Diamond vs Crofton

published

It is now 4 years since I purchased Crofton non-stick frying pans from Aldi – the same length of time I had Swiss Diamond frying pans until 2012.
The Crofton ones are still going strong while the Swiss Diamond ones have long been consigned to the rubbish bin.
In addition I am able to use whatever oil I prefer in the Crofton ones, on whatever temperature I like, without being accused of misusing and abusing my product. And they have retained their non-stick surface.
And by the way, the Crofton ones cost me ONLY $15 and $20 each!

Waste of Money

published

Sadly I was given 4 of these pans for gifts. They looked good, and even performed well at first but after using them for awhile even oil sticks to them! I tried browning some mince in one awhile ago and half of it stuck to the pan! The older ones are useless and the most recent one has almost had it. I would never buy them again and certainly would recommend anyone else wasting their money on them. As someone else said on here, go and buy a cheap Aldi pan. That's what I did and it is far superior to the Swiss Diamond brand! I think they are using the 'Swiss' name to make everyone think they must be good. Don't be fooled! After reading others problems claiming the warranty I think I will save myself the hassle and just bin them!

Disappointed

published

I bought a Swiss Diamond 32 cm frying pan 4 years ago in good faith of all the guaranties...non stick, lifetime guaranty. This frying pan has failed to live up to it's expectations. The non stick coating has worn off and has worn badly despite being well looked after.

Same problem as others - non stick stops working. Wrote to them and given instructions to clean with bicarb. needless to say still not non-stick but no decent response from the company. While waiting for them to respond I bought non-stick from Aldi - super cheap - so far so good!!!

Swiss Diamond Frypans - Rubbish, Absolutely Rubbish

published

I would have rated '0', I purchased the small and larger Swiss Diamond Frypan 4 years ago, 12 months ago they began to stick, peel. I,cleaned them as per instructions, never used high heat, approached Swiss and they claimed I was not cleaning the pans per the instructions and they would not replace or refund me. I went through Consumer Protection, and Swiss still would not 'budge'. I would of had to take Swiss to court, but if there were other people wishing to do that too, it would be worth our while?

not worth the money

published

Returned one of my Swiss diamond frypans for replacement but was told it had been used on too high a heat
and hadn't been cleaned properly.
So much for life time guarantee. I had never, ever used it on a high heat, only cleaned it as per instructions, used the correct
oils and never butter and it still ended up sticking badly.
Never again will I buy or recommend Swiss Diamond.

Could not fault!!!

Best pans I have ever owned, nothing sticks, washes well. Will definitely be sticking with this brand! Nothing less than 5 stars

For a non stick pan it fails.

published

I bought the square one with lid and a large circular pan. Paid a lot of money for it in House where it is no longer part of the range I believe. I looked after mine with only soft plastic utensils and cleaned it gently. It was non stick for about 2 years and I should have returned it, but didn't. Everything sticks to a rough sort of surface and can no longer be cleaned properly. Doubt whether I can get replacements so both are likely to go in the metal recycle rubbish. Definitely would not buy this expensive cookware again. Have had other pans doing the job for years - without wasting my money.

I love this product - such mixed reviews!

published

I don't understnad how this product can go from one to five stars between buyers. Are there multiple suppliers using this brand name?

After throwing all my circulon pans out I started buying Swiss Diamond and just keep adding to my collection. I have owned all the name brands and, apart from my very old Esteele saucepans, these would have to be the best pans I have ever used.

Expensive for nothing

published

I own several Swiss Diamond pans and so does my family. Cooking property is great. However, they all peeled after several months. Company offered lifetime guarantee... We contacted them and got offer a discount to purchase new ones. For the price that we paid, you might as well buy cheap pans at 20$ a pop and replace them every year. Less hassle...

False advertising - everything sticks

published

1st pan replaced after House chased up Swiss Diamond rep several times due to scratches appearing on the "non-stick surface", 2nd pan gone the same was with staining and scratches appearing. Not much is if a lamb chop or T-bone can cause damage when you turn them. No answer to emails sent to Swiss Diamond and House no longer stock them (probably because of of their poor quality and lack of back up from Swiss Co).
Almost everything sticks to so-called non stick surface

My Swiss Diamond Prestige cast casserole has been dreadful. I follow the cooking and cleaning I instructions but most everything I cook burns at the bottom of the pot. I’ve just had to throw out the marmalade I was cooking because it caught so badly on the bottom of the pot the marmalade was burnt. I can’t believe I paid such a high price for such poor quality. I thought cast iron would be tough. Apparently not.

I have a casserole i use frequently and love. I have never used it for jams though. It is probably 10 years old and still as new.

Hi Joan. Thank you got your response. My pot is under 12 months old and now I can’t clean the surface so the pot is now worthless. I am so disappointed with this purchase. Maybe the cookware was better quality 10 years ago. Regards

I contacted Swiss Diamond in Melbourne and they mailed me the screws I needed. Ann was most helpful. Good luck
