Avoid at all cost

published

Worked fine for a few months and now you cant cook anything without it sticking to the pan. its sticky to touch even after cleaning. after reading all the other reviews, I am not sure its even worth chasing warranty.

Purchased in October 2021 at House for A$200.00.

Works well if you don't apply heat to it

published

So I have the same story as pretty much everyone else here.
We bought the non stick pan, and after a while, everything started to stick to it. I contacted their warranty people, and got the usual spiel:
"Too much heat"
"You're using it wrong"
"It's not a defective product"

I can assure you all that we used the pan properly, much like everyone else here has. Frankly, if a pan can't function when heat is applied, it's clearly a defective product.

I only gave one star, because you can't give 0 stars. Avoid at all costs.

Purchased at eBay for A$130.00.

Extremely disappointing.

published

I bought a 30cm frying pan on the recommendation of the assistant at Robins Kitchen. I wanted a good quality NON STICK pan which was safe to use and would last. I have persevered with this pan for 6 months now. Have followed the care instructions to the letter. Have only used on the ccoktop and washed by hand. Worked okay for the first month or so. Now everything sticks and is very difficult to remove. What a waste of $99. Pity I didn't read the reviews before listening to the sales assistant. I will go back to the Target $20 version.

Purchased in July 2021 at Robins Kitchen for A$99.00.

Easier to burn your money

This fry pan is AWFUL. The first 2-3 times using it was great.... Since then everything sticks to the pan and ruins meals. I followed all instructions pre use - wash, heat and oil. It made no difference.

Swapped it out at Robin's kitchen as the staff convinced me it never happens. The second pan has done the exact same thing. The staff have tried to blame it on cooking temperature and now won't refund due to me misplacing the receipt.... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Purchased in April 2021 at Robins Kitchen for A$180.00.

Waste of money!

published

Bought their 32cm wok which is almost $250 on sale. Within a year it developed these little spots/dents on the bottom and started to almost ‘rust’. Never again! Just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean it’s good.

Terrible

published

Paid nearly $200 on special. Within 1 month the bottom of the frypan was uncleanable! Took it back to Peters of Kensington and the salesman said ‘terrible, never seen anything like it’ they sent it to Swiss Diamond rep and said it was overheated. Rubbish it was just used on a cooktop maybe 15 times! Forget customer service ... will never use Swiss Diamond or Peters of Kensington again.

Never met my expectations for the price

published

When I bought this I was of the impression that it was:
*non stick
*little need for oil

Yet I used a little oil and treated with care, and still it was a completely useless product within about a year.
Everything gets stuck and I spend ages cleaning the surface no matter what I cooked (eggs/meat/chicken).
I thought it was my inexperience, but reading the other reviews and having used much, much cheaper cookware since then I've realised it wasn't my fault or because of temperature control.

Don't waste your money.

Terrible and consistent with other reviews here

published

Heavy pan. Was told it was one of the best pans out there. I took very good care of it but the non-stick was totally gone after 2 years. I thought it was me being a bad cook until I used my friends cookware and everything came out great. Don’t waste your money! It’s trash!

I love these

published

I have been using the same pans for 10 years or so. These are the only ones that have lasted. I have tried many other expensive brands but nothing has matched these. I recommend them. Warning..i was told not to heat them too hot, as any non stick cookware, and have looked after them.

Worst Ever!!!

published

Purchased the classic fry pan couple years ago. The non-sticky pan only last for a year and became sticky. Took back to the retailer and advised that we are not cleaning this pan properly. Later got the same rubbish letter, saying the overheat crap. I bet they use the same letter to reply to all customers! Apparently it's America brand and Australian legislation could not help much. Worst product and brand ever! The manufacturer does not take any responsibility at all!

Worst cookware i have purchased

published

We used our pan to the exact care instructions as we wanted to look after our investment but after 2 years the non stick coating dissolved and is useless now (not to mention potentially unsafe). Was told by the company that we had used harsh cleaning products, which is untrue and basically a poor excuse to not replace their faulty product. House doesn't even stock this product any longer.

Do Not Buy Swiss Diamond Brand

published

Do not buy these frypans. Lasted 2 years and started sticking. Asked for a replacement and was told that the pan had been exposed to high heat. Expensive and absolute rubbish.

Better off buying a frypan from Kmart will last longer.

Expensive pan for little utility

published

- We received two frying pans on our gift registry last year and they haven't even lasted a year. The non-stick coating is bubbling and falling off even though we only use silicone or wooden utensils and hand wash them with a soft cloth. I did my research before adding them to the registry and they are meant to be the best to last a lifetime. Very disappointing result considering the hefty price tag.

Excellent product

published

Recently purchased the Swiss Diamond 24cm 28cm and 32cm frying pans.
Although not cheap, these are by far the best of it's kind I have purchased.
If used properly and used with silicone based utensils, I expect many years of use from them.
They do take just a little longer to generate heat in the cooking but they cook evenly and there is no sticking to the pans.
Cleaning is so simply, no scrubbing needed, just to wash with a cloth then dry.
Wish I had bought these years ago.
Good product and well worth the expense of purchase.

excellent service

published

Very pleased with all the swiss diamond products I bought - 2 saucepans, 2 frypans. Very reliable cooking and they still look great. I dropped the lid of a saucepan and the knob broke. I asked the company about replacing the lid, and they sent me a replacement knob, FOR FREE. Excellent service!
