Great Iron!
My old iron blew up so went to Harvey Norman to buy a new one.. bought another brand, took it home and it started smoking so I went back and decided to spend a little more on this one. It heats up super quick. Very easy to use the steam button. Heats and cools for whichever setting you need very quickly. The only negative I have for this iron is the dark coloured plastic body of the iron - it is impossible to see your water as you fill to the line as the colour if the plastic is way too dark - I have overfilled many times because of this and pa...Read more
nicked that even the recharging body has become too wet to use! Easy to use, quick to heat up, love the steam button underneath your finger, good price Dark coloured plastic makes it impossible to see water as your filling - causes overfilling of the tank1 comment

Enjoyable ironing
An iron with no cord to constantly get caught up or tangled. I have been using the Tefal free move iron for 4months and found it to be an excellent performer. There is a cord of course from the cradle to the electrical point, but the iron itself is cord free. The iron heats up extremely quickly and replacing it into the cradle while repositioning the item being ironed it is always then ready to be picked up and continuing pressing. Of course this iron is also a steam iron and is auto cleaning. Four months ago I purchased the iron for $146 from
The Good Guys.
Very efficient, easy to use device

Could you please tell me the expected life of the battery, in years? Would probably iron a full basket of washing per week.

When I press the steam button under the handle, there doesnt appear to be much steam although this maybe
a fine steam as someone has already mentioned. However, when pressing this button, there is a quiet almost
'rachet' noise from the iron. Is this normal? Thanks in response.

You have to press the steam button underneath the handle as well as the one on top. This will turn produce a big strong jet of steam. The ratchet noise I not sure of.
I will have to check this out then but thank you for your reply.

After reading the reviews for this iron it sounded like the one to buy. Just received it and without using it I am quite disappointed. The iron itself is very heavy, the handle is too short as you don... Read more
't want to be holding the steam button inside handle on all the time. I will probably give it a try but couldn't see myself being able to do a basket of ironing without getting painful arm.....
