Don't waste your money
We bought a cloud type mattress about 2 years ago. After just 3 months in became too soft and made many back pain for my wife and I. By chance they accepted it as a faulty mattress and gave us credit to choose another tempura mattress however that took about 3 months. We picked the firm model this time. The same issue happened after about 5 months. But after 4 months following up they did not accept the issue this time. They said it has been designed to be like this. 2 months later we decided to throw it out. We did and bought a simple firm spring mattress instead which cost just about %30 of the tempura. And it is still working more comfortable than that.

Hi, it is good to see someone cares about the costumer's feedback. I have some emails which can explain what had happened. I can send them to you if you leave an email address for me. Thanks

Can't sleep without it ☺️
My mattress is supportive and very comfortable. I have bursitis on my left thigh and this is the only mattress I can sleep on. It refuses pressure and I can fall asleep without feeling pain.

Took 2 weeks to love it
Its an odd thing reviewing a bed because you don't know how to gauge your sleeping. At first I thought we had wasted about $7k on a split king with adjustable base (don't know the model - its a medium I think). The feel of foam is different and at first didn't like it. Now however, I realise that my sleeps are great. I can sleep in now. I can wake up at say 5am and get to sleep again. Loving it. No regrets, but will take 2 weeks to appreciate it, or it did for me anyway.

Mould after 9 months
While this mattress is comfortable to sleep on it does tend to get hot in the middle of the night/late morning. We purchased with a treated pine slat base. After 7 months we have rolled the mattress over and were shocked to find black mould growing between the mattress and the slats. I am not sure if this occurs between the mattress and the manufacturers bases (tempur-pedic foundation) but I'd strongly advise against buying this mattress with a base that has timber slats. Clearly an incompatibility issue here.

We had a Dunlopillo latex mattress for 15 years, and it did last very well, but in the end sadly had to be replaced. After doing some research and trying quite a few mattresses in stores, the Tempur seemed like a modern equivalent to our faithful old Dunlopillo. How wrong we were! Initial smell disappeared OK, we were prepared to give it a few weeks to "bed in" / warm up / mould to our body shape etc. My wife was accepting of the new mattress as it was better for her than the 15 y.o. one we had. But for me - it was the most uncomfortable m...Read more
attress I had slept on including camping air beds. I sink into it, have trouble rolling over, it feels suffocating and thankfully it is winter as in summer it will be far too hot to sleep on. It was supposed to be a medium firmness, but in certain positions my hands sink to the base. Enough said. The base we have is the Dunlopillo slatted one and we have tightened up all the slats to maximum rigidity and they are rock solid and close together. It was not a cheap mattress at $2,750 (on special apparently) so very disappointed. The 4cm top "comfort layer" of this mattress is supposed to be an Extra Soft material, with a supposedly firmer 4cm support layer under that, and then the body of the mattress - but the whole thing seems Extra soft. No Complaints
Purchased an ex-display set with adjustable frame - washed the cover, bicard soda the top of the mattress. Tempur is completely aired sitting in the showroom - no smell at all, ready to use immediately with sheets over the top of cover etc...
Saw bad reviews mostly from new purchases and unhappy customers during the break in period. I suggest the extrasoft variety; less to break in, works immediately.
Tip, get the adjustable frame (ex-display is fine - same warranty) & elevate your legs.
There is nothing like putting your feet up and falling to sleep with tempur working its magic to mold to your body heat.

ABSOLUTE AGONY!!
Absolutely terrible, do not buy a Tempur mattress. It costs a kings ransom and is initially quite comfortable, but after 16 months has become extremely soft and causes excruciating back pain (only mattress to ever do this). Have to sleep the couch because Tempur "don't give refund due to comfort issues".
If you want to spend good money on a top mattress, stay clear of memory foam and especially Tempur. ZERO STARS!

Everything is good apart from the price
Bought this mattress a few weeks ago, saw a lot of bad reviews online but thought to still give it a go after speaking to someone with good experience with the product. So far, I am quite happy with it. Price is a bit dear but you do get what you paid for.

Sleeping on the cloud
Simply awesome.
It has been couple of days since we got our Tempur cloud 19.
The only bad thing about it is we kept on sleeping.. sleeping... sleeping all weekend.
Just could not get out of it.
Once you sleep on this you might think what was I doing all these years.. :)
We went ahead to get this one even after all the concerns people have expressed.
Our sales guy Adam had already told abt few stuff and only those happen to be any concern if any.

Terrible Mattress!
Do not buy. I tried the one in the shop and then received my mattress. I was so disappointed, it was nothing like the one in the shop, it is so hard and uncomfortable. My back and hips are so sore. I contacted Tempur, and there is apparently nothing they can do. Most reputable companies offer a one month comfort guarantee, but not Tempur, what a rip off!! I have had to buy an extra memory foam topper as I was in so much pain. Waste of money!

Best night's sleep in quite sometime
We spent a longtime researching the vast array of mattresses all stating they are the best. We setteled on a Tempur despite reading some negative reviews. We have never been so happy and comfortable. Yes, they do have a different feel ..but wonderful. Our salesman Ricky at Harvey Norman in Mandurah was very knowledgeable and didn't mind spending time with us. Thanyou Ricky, you're a real asset to H.N. Mandurah.
Purchased in August 2021 at Harvey Norman.

Well, hi to anybody who chooses to read my information. We are still happy with our Tempur, despite a few changes with me. My partner remains very content with the choice. This mattress has retained i... Read more
ts shape and it still looks like new. In the beginning I wanted to have a little softer, but partner preferred the firmer product.... She won. The problem is I suffer with lower back damage and it has become a little worse. The Temper being firm holds me into position so turning becomes difficult when the back is playing up. I have placed a soft bambillo mattress on the top...all good now. Still maintain the softer one would have been better for me. Having said that it is well worth it’s price. Most others would show signs of wear now, eg sinking in the middle.... but fantastic condition.Forgot to mention, the mattress does not hold the head, however the Bambillo topper does...not a problem in winter.

Not so happy
Having paid over $2000 for cloud 19 you would want to be sleeping comfortably. However after 4 nights my lower back pain feels worse. It is warm not such a problem for the cooler weather but not sure about summer.
It has only been 4 nights, I don't mind the feel of it so much but if the aches and pains get worse not a good thing. I will try to post again after a longer time.

Annaasked
Is the tempur 19 cloud good for side sleepers and back sleepers?
1 answer
Our experience has been that the mattress is now too soft to sleep comfortably on back on side as we sink too far into the mattress without it providing adequate support. We often now wake up with back pain and are looking to replace mattress when we can afford to. Please also be aware that these kind of mattresses do generate a lot of heat. If you live in a hot area (as we do Perth, WA) I would not recommend it.

If I just buy the mattress without a tempur base, what sort of base should I buy? Is a slat base ok to use?
4 answers
I am sorry I cannot answer that as I don't have a Tempur base. Ask if you can trial their mattress. I also have a Cloud mattress and it only now(after approx 2 months) feels comfortable. My mattress was very uncomfortable in the beginning
Hi, First of all I should say do not trust the seller specially if it is H.N. as they will do their best to sell the product. It is what they payed for. They will ask you what kind of base do you have and will reply yes that is fine. because if they say no you need to change your base and spend more money you may change your mind and they will loose the deal. As simple as that. I used my Tempur mattress on my slate base bed. My mattress failed after 4-5 months and Tempur company sent someone to have a look at it. He said your base is fine. As he was from Tempur mattress I can trust what he said. So yes you should be able to use your slat base bed. But be aware that this mattress is heavy so you may need to add extra support for the slats if they are not strong enough :-)
My last suggestion: As my mattress failed after a short time and even the replacement failed I suggest to leave this mattress in the store and try something else. I can`t suggest any specific type of mattress as it is related to your preference. I bought a firm spring mattress from a local factory for 30% of the Tempur price and I feel better now.
I have an adjustable base for my Tempur 27 cm cloud (very soft mattress). I know that Tempur mattresses need to sit on a flat surface therefore I would have a chat to sellers of Tempur and ask them the question. Just had a thought, I think that the Tempur will definitely have to sit on a well supported flat surface as any ridges or gaps between slats may damage the underside of the mattress. You do have to rotate your mattress about every 8 weeks I think as per Tempur advice and this is most important.

Hi, Amir.
We're disappointed that you feel this way about our mattresses. I genuinely believe our mattresses are the best in the world. ... Read more
I've been and had a chat with customer service and they can't find an email from anyone with the limited information I can deduce from the ieatwords site. Did you submit a claim through a store or contact us directly? I only ask as I would like to familiarise myself with your claim, before giving a more in depth response to your review. I'll also ask a couple of questions to best grasp the ins & outs of your situation: ~ Did you use an electric blanket with your mattress? ~ Did you use high thread count sheets on the mattress? ~ Is your bedroom warm during the night? Generally, our mattresses do get softer after a period of time, this being like most manufactured products. However, the model our customers try in the retail store is closest to what the mattress will feel like when you've gotten it home and slept on it for a few weeks/months. This change in feeling is due to the material the mattress is made of. This material being visco-elastic, the interconnected cell structure changes shape due to the heat and weight of the body allowing the body to be perfectly aligned during the night. In regards to your situation, the qualifications in order to have your mattress replaced by us come down to TEMPUR's 10-year full replacement warranty, this covers a large number of faults in the mattress, and if a customer experiences one of the faults outlined in our extensive warranty then we will replace the mattress for you free of charge. Most notably, if the mattress dips and has a valley of 2cm or more in the 10 years of coverage, then we replace it for you. This exceeding the industry standard and the vast majority of our competitors. If a claim was made to us, I can only assume that in the first instance, the claim was sufficient to warrant a replacement, however, in the second case it was not and therefore your mattress couldn't be replaced. As I said, I haven't yet familiarised myself so I don't wish to jump to conclusions. Regardless of whether your mattress was or wasn't replaced, this isn't the fault of customer service in our Australiam H/O, they don't have the ability to replace mattresses on a discretionary basis, all claims are sent from us (in Aus) to our parent company in Denmark, at which point they then decide whether the mattress 'fault' warrants a claim or not. Hope this clears up a few things for you, and look forward to receiving your response. - LC
