Quality!
This is our 3rd RAV4. We just keep coming back because of the quality, reliability, practicality and space that the RAV4 offers compared to its mid size 4x4 competitors. We've never had one mechanical problem with our RAV4s. Invest in some good rubber like BFG for off-road or a wider profile tire for superior grip. Also impressed with the fuel economy. Heated seats in winter are amazing!
Purchased in March 2021 for A$31,000.00.

Excellent vehicle
Top of the range cruiser, lots of useful features, good performance for a 2.5 litre, quiet and comfortable to drive, great on fuel (8.5 9.0 lper 100k). A bit pricey up front but should last us 10 years or more.
Purchased in March 2021 at Toyota Dealers for A$44,990.00.

Top of the line!!
We picked up a Toyota Rav4, AWD cruiser, fully loaded.
That comes with heated leather seats, sunroof and all safety bells and whistles of newer models.
It is a safe car and gives 12 km /l, which is impressive for a 2.4 l engine.
Very smooth and a pleasure on any kind of surface.
Disadvantage:
No AC vents to the back seats. Not sure why no one thought of these.

Great reliable car
Partner has had three for his company car that I get to drive daily.
Service as per schedule with no faults.
Car is reliable, zippy and has the necessary safety features.
Safety feature has helped avoid a collision.
The car might be ending its model life (looking forward to driving next gen), but there isn't much to fault.

Space saver spare just plain rubbish
Warning I did not buy my 2018 Rav4 Cruiser to go shopping. I bought it for touring to some remote places. So without knowing about the space saver temporary spare tyre I signed a contract and found out later. Salesman telling me he can get me a full size spare but it won't fit in the boot properly. So I read up on the temp spare and found lots of problems. Like can only travel at 80kms, and only 500 or so kms, and no safety features work, and the vehicle will be lower on one side. Where to put full size flat tyre if not fit in space saver area?...Read more
Tire pressure warning light will come on and won't turn off etc... Not good so back to dealer for quote on full size spare? Can't risk it. Price for the full size steel rim and tyre (painted silver) 18x8 wheel nuts included - $605+gst. Genuine alloy (like for like) $1965+gst Alloy Rim and Tyre. Would like a proper alloy but too expensive so have to have steel wheel nuts for this steel spare option or no insurance. So not good Toyota. Also have to buy roof cargo rack to store. And would you pay 2K for one rim and tyre? Then you have more money left than me. Even $600 is off the chain for a steel wheel and tyre. Then 1k for rack. Not to mention lifting wheel onto roof. So wrote to Toyota customer care online. Telling them spent 50K to get 5 wheels and only got 4.5 can they help? Why spend money to get a problem like this? No answer 24 hours. Why such overpriced for full size spare that won't fit in space provided for spare? Very bad practice. Warn all don't buy shonky Toyota with temp spare or you may get stuck. Not at the shop but lost in the dessert, hopefully not without water? Toyota you're selling this car in a wide brown land. You cannot do this to us. We wan't 5 wheels, with 5 tyres and a place to store the fith, just in case we get stuck. Thanks in advance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Family Car
Purchased the car in December 2017 and haven't looked back, it is smooth and comfortable to drive and a good sized family vehicle. We have the Cruiser and love the automation automatic lights and windscreen wipers work well and the car has a quality finish. So far we are very happy with the purchase

Beautiful functional car from reliable company
Quiet, light car to drive, easy to handle.
I have the cruiser and it looks fantastic outside and inside with leather seats. More leg room than other SUVs we tried at the time. Plenty of flexible storage space when the 2nd row is put down .
Fuel efficiency is good but still could be better.
Only surprise to me was the front passenger seat is not motorised like the driver's seat, which is a downgrade from other top end cars we have owned from Toyota previously.

First Family Car!
Rav4 2016 - My first family car and I love it, so comfortable to drive handles easily, and very quiet. I have the Cruiser so it's all leather interior very sleek! Very reliable, haven't had any issues running costs are average for that size car. Only thing I would say, it could benefit from A/C vents in the backseat. But tiny issue, everything else is perfect so I would still say an Excellent buy for the money

Great Car
I extremely pleased with this compact-crossover SUV. It rides quite and smooth with good acceleration.
The instument panel is layed out well. There is ample room to seat five persons comfortably. My fuel bill is
reduced almost in half compared to my previous Toyota (4Runner). The new features I like are the backup camera,
bluetooth, LDA (lane detection alert) and push button to open and close the liftgate. The bluetooth is a
magnificent invention. With the bluetooth I am to connect my iPhone and listen my favorite tunes and use the
phone to make or receive phone calls basically hands free. My RAV4 is a joy to drive.

Great all-rounder
Great mid-sized car to fit the family as well as loads in the car. Good ground clearance and easy to use in all environments. Will be updating again shortly to another RAV 4, because I enjoyed it so much. Good for getting in and out of due to great mid-height from the ground.

2016 Toyota RAV4 Cruiser
What's not to love? Heated leather seats, all the safety gadgets imaginable, comfortable to drive and great for transporting all my gear for work (I have a large suitcase and several other bags and often a school bag or two thrown in as well). Good fuel economy. Quiet engine and several driving modes (sport and eco) to improve ride and economy. So glad to have the built in sat-nav - just wish you could program that for your destination and just activated when you're close to the location but just in need of those last few directions rather than...Read more
it directing you from your starting location. I love the app too - I often "send" destinations to the car so they are they waiting for me when I get in. My only criticism is that when you enter an address "22 Smith Street" and label it "Bob's House" when you arrive it just says "you've reached your destination" and the screen says "Bob's House". If you've forgotten what the street number was, you might be in strife as it will often tell me I've arrived several houses from the actual one. Now I label destinations as "Bob's House #22) - it's only a small issue but has caught me out a few times. Love everything else about this - just wish it had a built in dash cam.Similar opinion? Love my RAV4!!
We hired a RAV4 when we were on holidays in NZ and fell in love wih it. So when it was time to buy a new car it was the obvious choice. I did some online research of other medium SUVs but in the end went with the RAV4. Have never regretted the decision since. Lots and lots of room for passengers and boot space. We moved recently and I was able to fit in so many boxes with the back seats folded down. It's a pleasure to drive, smooth with plenty of zip and power. I got the cruiser model and all the features make it a very comfortable ride.

This car is a spaceship! I love it!
After 5 years with another brand, I have "gone home" to Toyota and bought my fourth Toyota - a RAV4 Cruiser.
What an amazing car! The cruiser has lots of extra features that I believe are well worth the extra money.
In particular Toyota is one of the few companies offering Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) on its cars and in the Cruiser it is Standard fit.
The car is incredibly comfortable to drive - the seating position is great and the seat has two memory positions.
This car has all sorts of gadgets....The usual ABS, EBD, VSC, TRC but wai...Read more
