Impossible to contact
Trying to change credit card details as current card is no longer valid. This has been impossible to do. I keep getting prompted to sign up to a $5 site Just answer which if you don't cancel within a time frame it continues to charge $60. Think I will just cancel my account and go back to catching a CAB

Double the cost of cabs... test it!
Started out the cheaper option however def not the case. Far too expensive and good old traditional cabs are far cheaper.
Example 1 - NYE cab for 8 persons to the races $50 at 1pm and Uber $95
Example 2 - (today) Uber 5km trip from Terrigal to Wamberal $29, we caught a cab instead for $13. Absolutely exploited their presence and not worth the money they charge. Try cabs again, you will be pleasantly surprised at service and half the cost.

Customer Support Team Service Standard
My phone was missing and my tracker app showed was left in my last uber ride. It happened on the week of the Uber office closed and we contacted the Customer Service Support Team on the 1300 number. On a few occasions to follow up of our call as we did not hear from anyone as promised but I have received acknowledgment email of my call and robot words to get me to direct me to login account. the Customer Support Team to help me to contact the driver but none of the customer service support would call as they said they cannot call the driver. Our tracker showed where the driver lives but we did not want to confront the driver and it was so frustrated Uber has a stupid manner that they cannot contact the driver. I have to go in to Uber’s office to confront the customer service support face to face to get them to action my request and finally they gave no choice but to contact the driver and I got my phone back. The Customer Support Team on the phone and emails sent was very robot on their job to help a distressEd rider. There was no warm customer service and empathy in their flexibility to help their riders.

New customer..Driver cancelled after I waited 15 mins & $8 taken frm my credit card???
Im not impressed with my 1st time using Uber. Ordered ride frm Surfers to Seaworld resort.. app sd driver 3 mins away so i waited outside.. the wait time indicator kept changing & after 15mins of waiting on the street "Driver Cancelled" came up, now making me late to meet people. Luckily I got another Uber with a lovely friendly helpfull driver but not only did it make me late, I see today that I have been charged an $8 fee by the driver who cancelled my ride. How is this allowed? I hv made a cplaint to Uber & awaiting a call back.. I will also be contacting my c.card company to make a complaint about an unauthorised payment.

Account hacked, Useless Customer Service
I hadn't had a bad experience with Uber until this problem. Our phone was lost/stolen and someone else used the phone for Uber in a different state. We claimed that to Uber however, they suspected that we knew that person and let them use our account. What they suggested was contacting the person who used our account (off course we don't know) or contact our bank. As someone else wrote about their experience here, basically they didn't do anything for the problem. We had to contact with our bank to solve this hacking problem. There is no phone numbers to contact immediately either. It was useless. Why would I use their service anymore?

Left on the side of road
Asked uber driver to stop at servo. He left me there and took off. TERRIBLE UBER. Stuck on side of road with no way home. Stay clear of uber. Pay the extra for taxi and at least get there.

Overpriced and long wait times
Wait times were way too long. Prices way too high. Extra fees for everything and zero customer service when something goes wrong. Switched to other more competitive rise sharing apps and finding them much better.

Lost wallet stolen by driver
I urge everyone not to use UBER . They will steal from you and give you no way to contact them. Try Didi or Ola. Driver took my wallet and it is impossible to contact Uber. Gone for ever

System issue still blames driver
Driver clearly misunderstands the pickup call and doesn't realise it's for 830-840, rocks up 820 and is upset when we don't come out by 925.
Spent the next week trying to explain to uber help that they have a system issue. They kept blaming the driver even though I asked them not to. Then completely fobbed me off.

Total Crap!
The rating scheme is total crap. Have had the Uber app for 3 years now. Have always been polite, courteous and kind to drivers. Never slam the door, always ask them how they are and hows their day been. Always thank them and wish them a good day or night, have added extra tip to fares and I am the one who gets my rated low by the drivers!!!??? Hell no! Never supporting these people or company again!

Terrible
I booked an Uber but few minutes before meeting time the driver texted that they went to pick up someone else and asked me to cancel the Uber. Really disappointed in this act.

Disappointed
The final fare was much higher than the estimated quote as the driver took the longer route to my destination!!! Quote was $25 but final fare was $38!!! Big difference!

Issues with Uber
Ive had a lot of issues with Uber drivers either making me wait up to 10 mins before canceling my trip or starting the trip before Im in the car and then never picking me up forcing me to cancel at cost to me. In both situations there is no option to leave a negative review.

I ordered an Uber to go a medical appointment and was advised it would be two minutes away. Ten minutes later I rang the number on display and it went to voicemail. Five minutes later I rang again - voicemail only; two minutes later, I rang and told the voicemail the order would be cancelled.

Always Reliable
The app is great and easy to use. The timing that it says the driver will take is accurate. Uber pool is an awesome initiative making it cheaper to travel Ive used it multiple times and been satisfied. Uber eats also great :?

Uber is the best ride sharing app in the market
There is up and down when using uber apps, some drivers just rated you badly simply because you dont feel particularly upbeat on one or two occasions, or when you did not tip them. But most drivers are often nice and fun to talk with. So far I have seen no better ride share service than Uber in Australia. Fee is transparent, what you see is what you get. Sometimes you get bad experience using uber pool because drivers like to feel the need of telling you they hate uber pool...I mean, why accept it?

DODGY UBER
I downloaded the app to catch an uber to the airport. I scheduled the trip and was quoted a reasonable price. I did this the afternoon before the morning I had the trip scheduled for, about 17 hours prior.
Come the following morning and ready to go, about 30 minutes till uber is to pick me up and the price I was shown originally had now DOUBLED. Are you serious?
Anyway I took public transport and will never ever use uber. Scoundrels

No kilometer limit for uber vehicles
I was in an uber the other day and because of the vehicles condition checked the odometer, this small dimension Honda hatchback had 635,000 kms on it. I think that's unsafe for a vehicle that "fatigued" to be used for commercial transport, there was obvious wear and tear evidence and quite audible noise from at least three main bearing reliant points of the vehicle, both rear wheels especially when steering to right or left and also in the transmission especially when accelerating. a severe motor accident/crash. I feel allowing vehicles with such high mileage is an unsafe practice by Uber. I would just add that the vehicle was clean and suitable for rideshare other than this so was compliant but the rules need to change especially as rideshare has been around for a while now so regular drivers are clocking up some big miles.Similar opinion?
