Uniden BW 3000 Series

So many things wrong with this, it’s not even worth getting into. Just don’t buy.

I’m surprised it’s still on the market because it’s just a failure in every way possible.

When you turn it on it makes a very loud beep sound that wakes baby up. The battery life is useless lasting at most 5 hours otherwise you need both the camera and the hand hold plugged in constantly. The range is also terrible as we could be just in the next room and it says out of range. Such a complete waste of money!

I have had 3 of this monitor over the last 7 years ans never had any issues with any of them. The first one the camera was broken by baby #1 (because we had left it in a stupid place after travelling) uniden replaced it and as it was in warranty. 2nd monitor worked perfectly for 3 years until baby #2 had grown put of it and I sold it as we weren't planning anymore children. 3rd monitor bought when baby #3 arrived and ghastly been used for 10 months, no issues. I purchased this monitor souly for the fact it can clip onto the side of the cot as we have no where to sit a monitor, It looked great and worked straight out of the box, so no set up required so i was pleased with my choice. however after about a week the monitor would always say out of range even when in the same room. i contacted uniden but none of their troubleshooting solutions worked and after some research i found similar reviews and it seemed to be common issue. i returned it to the place of purchase and they offered a replacement. i ag...

We have just set up a BW5151R and the main camera works. Trying to pair the second camera (B3000) and keeps saying “device is not bound”. I am charging the unit, pressing the “pair”
Button and tried the reset button. There are no lights on the front of the monitor just green charging and green power on button.

Please help as it’s brand new out of the box!

Was great for the first week or so then started saying out of range when I could be in same room. Image flickered on only occasionally. Very disappointed. Don't recommend.

Very disappointed in the camera battery life. (6hrs if we're lucky!) I have wireless security cameras around my house which last for months and are regularly being activated (day & night).
Some folks have said "just leave it plugged in" but this results in a danger to children regarding the thin power cord and I would be cautious regarding the potential overheating & fire hazard due to the camera being constantly plugged in to its power supply.

Says out if range constantly. I've woken up in the middle of the night To it saying out of range 3 times now. Luckily my baby was asleep still or I wouldn't have known he was awake because this monitor doesn't work 70% if the time. It works if Ur monitor is literally touching the camera that's it. DO NOT BUY.

We bought this unit 15 months ago. Connectivity was always an issue. We found we had to be within 5-8 metres of the camera meaning we couldn't go outside of our living room as the unit was in the bedroom on the other side of the wall.

The last three months, random lines would appear on the screen. They would come on, the screen would go black for a second, then the unit would be back to normal. This week, the screen went completely white. There is still sound but no display.

I have 4 Uniden BW-3000 cameras, and now have two broken cameras due to the mounts being broken (in the same spot!) clearly a design failure. Out of Warranty, so Uniden want to charge me $55 PER Camera to have repaired. Better value to buy a whole new camera unit. However this time, I will not buy Uniden, and will buy another brand. Terrible customer service, and only wanting more money.

I've tried every troubleshooting method possible but the camera just does not work. Audio is ok, but there is no image on the camera. I've tried factory reset, pairing the camera, turning it on and off. I thought it might be a signal strength issue but it wont even work when the camera and monitor are even in the same room.

I just want a monitor to work!!

The Camera:
Day & Night visual quality is great. It has a good field-of-view and having the large clip even let you use it on thin sided cotts/beds. The infra-red ring lights are subtle that they don't standout and distract. The Battery lasts 6-8hrs when no audio. Warning: Camera will beep loudly when run flat, waking any sleeping baby up. Always keep plugged in to power when used for nightly sleep monitoring.

Our monitor has been great but today when my partner turned off the monitor the camera started playing music and hasnt stopped in 2 hours? Unsure how to stop it

This camera is terrible. The app never stays connected and always freezes. The camera has a loud beep that will wake any sleeping baby when turn it on or off.

Great video/sound quality for the price and has a very decent range.
The monitor battery doesn't last long when unplugged (4 to 5 hours max).
I bought mine in 2015.
Now (2019) we are waiting for the second baby, I replaced the batteries (batteries last a couple of years and took me some time to find them) and we are ready again :)
