Planned outtages run for 8 hours, covering large areas that could easily be divided up into smaller areas that inconvenience the public far less.

28-31 October we had no power.This was acknowledged by sms to ourselves and a neighbour.As power companies supposedly pay 90.00 a day as compensation,we expected a credit.We were given one 90.00 although our neighbour was given 270.00 and promised another 90.00.
United Energy denied there had been an outage(although it was quite a significan area of Blackburn and we had the proof).Now they are ignoring us altogether.Is this a matter for the ombudsman?

As most would be aware we had heavy winds & storms Thursday night Friday morning. We had several power spikes including a 20 minute black out. All our neighbors have underground power supply however its only our house and the very old couple across the road that have very limited power as United has reduced power to our properties. Power outage of nearly 23 hours due to a power surge that found the weak spot at a nearby power pole (flaming and sparking wires fell onto local distribution wires) and the street light near our house, and blacked out more than 100 local residences. Neighbours lost multiple appliances in the power surge. No information, no apology, no urgency, no helpfulness from United. Just some self-serving twaddle copied out verbatim from their play-book. This company is trash. The outages are constant and always take AT LEAST 6-7 hours to complete, mind you you go past any of the sites and you’ll notice absolutely no one do any work at all. May as well just rob us point blank in the street at this point. Thieves.

Clearly do not know what day it is. Confirmed final reading 31st May, disconnected 8th April...what else can you say, clearly these people should not be working with electricity. All we have been offered is an apology, how will that recompense us for loss of business.

Revolting customers service, It make you feel like living in a 3rd world country! Huge delay (5 hours delay) of reconnecting the powers and no notification at all! The customer service department is horrible. I would give zero star if i could!

We report a street light faulty on 26/10/2018 to united energy on 132099,we were informed that it would be 7 business days, today is 09/11/2018 and nobody knows when it will be repaired, shame united energy shame.

This is a nightmare. I rank it zero if they there is an option.

My service provider was Origin and United was the supplier. I had to change my meter box due to extension and hence an appointment was made at 830am and 130pm on the same day to turn off and turn on the power.

When the bill came, I had a shock of my life. I was charged more than a thousand dollars for a simple job as above. This happened 4 months ago and it was still not resolved.

I refused payment until I verified what was incurred. Origin had claimed on many occasio...

6 outages during the week and on the hottest day of the year the power goes out for 2h30min so far with no eta on resolution... what do you do when there is a monopoly on Power. Complain well that helps...

Our Electricity Provider promised we would have our Power connection by 15/11/2017. They submitted the work Order to United Energy and today we found that U/E don't even have the connection scheduled. We need power to begin our house construction and have Trades booked in to begin works. Without any power we will be again put behind and may lose our Trades people. Every day we are not connected costs us. Not good enough from the company who control everything. No joy from the 5 phone calls we've made to try to resolve the problem and get our connection .

United energy sent a staff to abolish my electricity meter after I applied online. I forgot to switch off my electricity switchboard and needed 30 min to get there to switch it off in order for the staff to remove the meter. the staff who came to my house was very polite and helpful. Not only he did not make me feel I have inconvenienced him, he offered to return once he finished another job in the area. Thank you for the wonderful service!

This company is one of company who managing electricity cabling.
Electricity supplier to the whole seller (Energy Australia, Dodo, Momentum, Click Energy etc).
So often at early morning 1am, 2am, 3am, they disconnected the electricity without notice, the food in the fridge melted. just annoying. It's not professional way to do the business in Australia.
Unlike Yarra Water, they gave compensation to the clients. Remembered, we didn't get water for 5 hours, they gave around $90 credits as compensation.

If they working onsite, so many people seems unproductive to do the job.
I wonder if it's one factor, that they're not efficient enough so we have to pay for it?
