Wish I had read reviews here before purchase, as I received a "Out of stock notification" email next day after purchase. Live and learn. I've learnt never to purchase from Vet-n-Pet-Direct again.

Refund for unauthororised shipment
Dog harness sent to me although I had cancelled the order because they could not supply the item due to having no stock. Weeks later they send the item, charge my Paypal account even though they acknowledged they made a mistake in sending it. 10 days later I am still waiting for my refund. Won't be using this company again.

My GO TO site for my dog & parrots
I have made many purchases over the last 3 years. their online system is great for finding previous purchases to make use of loyalty reimbursements with Joint Guard. there's always a special... like discounts or free (conditional) post etc. the chat service is great, I've had to ask a few questions in the past. most importantly, the postage is fast!

My dog loves it
Great price, the dog coat was out of stock but they gave me a date it would be in and they let me know and then sent it, i wasn't in a rush as my dog has one and this one was for this winter. More than happy with the seller jacket exactly what i had ordered.

Worst customer service ever - in fact no customer service at all.
I have called this company continually for days trying to track a missing order. They phone has never been answered regardless of the time of day - apparently they are always too busy with customer service to provide any. I tried their "Live Chat" which sends automatic unrelated answers, and then send you to an email enquiry pop-up which has also yet to be replied to. I will never use this company again, and will be seeking refund on my order through the necessary authorities.

Don't waste your valuable time buying from this company as they are rude and have no idea how to treat customers. Just buy somewhere else!

No return policy
At the top of their website they have "Free Returns" which I thought was great, as I was unsure if one item was correct and was getting no response from customer 'service'. Should have stopped there. Purchased anyway and when I needed to return it, they said no, they "don't accept returns". Tried to find the return info on their website only to get an error 404! Disgusting service!

Awesome
I've used them to purchase food for awhile. The prices are high, but that's expected for good quality products.
Purchasing online is easy, they send an invoice with your delivery which I like plus they email you.

Suspected Credit Card Fraud
Bought 5 items from Vet & Pet Direct website and then 3 days later had 4 lots of $3,000 charged to my credit card in another state. Luckily the owner of where these transactions were being put through alerted the bank and my card has now been frozen. After talking to a staff member on the phone at Vet & Pet Direct, was shut down when asked to speak to a manager or anyone high up. Was told they don't come in very often and that we weren't allowed names or other numbers to call for further information. No concern was given as to the possibility of credit card fraud taking place within that business. Will never deal with them again and warn others to be very wary too of making online purchases with a credit card.

Very happy with my purchase.
Seeing the previously reviews on this page I decided it would be best to email and find out if the item was in stock before I ordered (so thank you to those who left reviews regarding items not in stock being listed on the site) Someone got back to me within minutes of receiving my enquiry informing the item was in stock. Ordered a large dog crate on Friday and it arrived early on Tuesday. The crate is good quality and half the price of others I've seen advertised. Very happy with my purchase.

Items not kept in stock
Terrible, took 2 weeks to get order since they don't have it in stock. They didn't bother to notify me that it would be delayed as it wasn't kept in stock, a lot of the items listed on their website they order from manufacturer after customer orders it, it would be better to just purchase direct from manufacturers.

Stock Levels Misleading. Discontinued Items Still Listed On Website.
I placed 2 separate orders last week. 1 on Tuesday & the other on Wednesday. The first order contains items listed on the website, but which have been discontinued. I did not receive an email or phonecall to notify me. It was only when I phoned to query the order as some items ordered are urgent that I was told that the 1 product is no longer available. The second order shipped (apparently) the day after I placed it. I live less than 100km from the warehouse & could have collected the items myself in a round trip drive of 2 hours.

False Stock levels
Just like the others.. wish I had read these reviews first. Placed an order, they took their money and I only found out about 2 of the 3 items being on back-order when I called to chase the order. It was also insulting that the helpdesk proffered a restocking ETA that has proved to be wildly optimistic so as to prevent a refund!
Still waiting for supply for goods we needed last week.

Will never buy from again!!!
Placed an order for some dog supplies. After a week passed by i get an email stating one of the things i order is on back order, told will be back in stock in a weeks time so they will release and send the rest of my order first. Took over two and a half weeks to get here and was left out the back door drenched in rain over night visible to anyone walking pass. So i emailed back asking where my other item was that was on back order and if it has been sent out yet( in which by this time should already have both packages). Was told it's on back order for another month and still have heard nothing till today. Been well over a month and a half. Absolutely disgusted!!!

2/3 fails - Vet n Pet allow you to order things online that they do not have in stock
Do NOT order from them if you need it in a particular timeframe, as you have no guarantee that the item is in stock.
In days of online ordering, it should be possible to keep accurate levels of stock, so that people don't order things online that aren't available straight away!

en called and told there was a different colour lead of the same kind, that they could ship that day. 2nd experience - without any time urgency, ordered a new collar, and it arrived within 2 days = good experience. 3rd experience - ordered a dog coat on Sunday night, and was informed by email on Tuesday morning that it wasn't in stock. Stock was expected on Thursday. We are going camping on Saturday, and absolutely must have a coat for our dog. As they couldn't guarantee it would get here by Friday, I cancelled the order. They blame the customer when an error is their fault
They overcharged me on my order and then advised me that I was wrong and that they hadn't, when my bank details clearly showed I'd been over charged. I then sent them a copy of my statement and they still didn't believe me. Then when I asked for a refund of the amount they overcharged me and an apology they told me I had to go to my bank to have their error rectified. Still waiting for the refund...and still no apology.
Terrible service and an awful staff member by the name of Paula (if that's her real name).

My experience has been good
I can't speak for everyone, but so far my experiences with Vet-N-Pet Direct have been good. They have some great prices on some products and cost of shipping within Australia is also fairly reasonable. My items were shipped quite quickly and arrived in about a week, so can't really complain there.
