Great suv
Liking out latest purchase, cheap to run, has a few luxury features. We are retired now so don’t use daily. Keyless start easy to get used to. Have added a tow bar ready for taking the boat out

Stick to Japanese reliability instead
I don't know where to begin other than to first open with the fact that one should objectively consider a car's reliability second only to safety of course. And with that the Japanese/Korea have it and that is exactly what I SHOULD have bought.
The car is comfortable with tech and safety features that are great. I wanted a safe and reliable car for the family. I soon realised I only got part of that equation right:
- door hinge became loose and had to be retightened several months after use. I told the dealership head mechanic to use loctite/...Read more

European quality and safety
If you are looking for a quality car, with European safety don’t go past the Tiguan Comfortline. Volkswagen’s focus on safety is paramount so if you value this, more that fancy trinkets, this is your car.

Economical and a joy to drive
With the added luxury pack and driver assistance pack, the interior is not unlike the R-spec high line, and the added features are definitely worth the money. Electronic dash, 360 cameras, lane assist and blind spot warning are all used regularly, and self park works like a dream. Lots of space for rear passengers too, and the elevated seats mean no more car sickness in the back. The adjustable rear seats are very handy when needing more boot space, and still allow adults to sit in the back seats. Only design flaw is the position of the front a...Read more
nd rear cameras/sensor (front sensor is critical for using auto cruise control). Both are obstructed by mud and rain droplets, which are usually present during weather conditions when driver assistance would be beneficial for safety! Otherwise, very happy with the purchase a couple of years on.Purchased in March 2021.

FEEL LIKE I HAVE DONE THE BEST PURCHASE EVER
I just purchased this car about a month ago. It is mainly used for daily commute - for work.
My family and I just love how spacious this Allspace edition Tiguan is. It is a 7-seater but when you do not need that extra two seats (mostly meant for children), you get a bigger boot space!
We are happy with the luxury, driving assistance and sound and vision packs too. These packs make driving a more pleasant thing to do and it helps heaps with the parking too! The panoramic sunroof is another bonus to the car!
I would definitely recommend people to get this car if they want something that is not too expensive yet feels expensive!
Purchased in April 2021.

Excellent car
Love this car, come with any additional, safety we want, luxury comfort vehicle. Love the driving assistance, panorama sunroof, leather seats, keyless entry and engine start. The most important thing is auto drive, especially on the motorway, the car is driving itself, which is realisable. Love the shape and sporty look with 4 motion drive.

Lovely car to drive, would like to see some improvements in the newer models
I drive the car mainly for travel to and from work, school pick up and drop off and any other errands etc that I need to travel around for. I use the car daily, there are very few days that I don't drive at all.
Mostly really like this car, the sensors took a little getting used to and I love the reverse camera and birds eye view when parking. I have 2 car seats in the back and when it is just the family in the car, this is ample room for all. If we need to put someone in the middle on the backseat, it is very squishy. The navigation system on...Read more

Best car I've owned
This is my second Tig. I bought a used 2010 model 3.5 years ago and loved it. A year ago (October 2017) I wanted to upgrade and bought the 2017 110 TDI Comfortline version. Couldn't be happier. The options that come with the Comfortline are amazing. Love the leather seats, front seats heated, sunroof, driving assistance package (cruise control, lane assist, etc) and I could go on. The Adaptive Cruise Control function is something I use every day, whether driving on suburban streets or the freeway - it's ability to moderate the speed according t...Read more
o how close you are to the vehicle in front is fantastic and makes driving much less stressful, as well as helping to avoid unintentional speeding fines! I found the boot space in the earlier model a bit limiting, but they increased it in 2017 and I find it adequate. You can easily release the back of the rear seats to fall forward if you need more space - you can do this from inside the boot itself as well as from each side of the rear seats - another convenience. The economy of the diesel engine is also great. Around town, I'm usually achieving between 6 and 7 litres per 100 kms. On a trip, it can go down to around 5 - can't complain about that!!. And although the smallest diesel VW offers in the Tig, it has plenty enough power. If you plant your boot, it will take off fast. If you want to tow a trailer with a good load (rated up to 2000 kgs), it handles it easily (be aware, however, that VW only allow max. 100 kgs on the towball, so you have to be a bit careful how you load the trailer or the type of caravan you tow). All round, I highly recommend this as a family vehicle or just as your normal vehicle because as an SUV it's higher off the road and for a 70-year old like me I find it much easier to get in and out of than my wife's Mazda 3 (which by the way is another great car in all other respects).Similar opinion? Frugal featured monster
Love this car, economy is 7 or below on 95ion unleaded. Love the sunroof and digital dash. Can’t really fault this car, would of loved the LED updated headlights reserved for the top spec, but this is the base model with and Audi stable engine. Happy motoring guys and girls. Oh and kids love this car due to their own air con, table on the back of front seat chairs, and the seating height.

Hasn't skipped a beat
Needed to upgrade my car due to increased driving on dirt roads in the country, and the need to switch to diesel.
Fuel consumption is incredible - 1000k to the tank (a lot of highway driving).
The interior is so stylish, with the luxury packeage included.
Seat warmers are my savior in winter. A/C is very efficient in summer and don't notice it affecting fuel consumption.
Only annoying thing is the AdBlue and finding petrol stations with it on tank. Annoying having to buy it in containers and add yourself as liquid is quite corrosive.

2016 110 TSI Comfortline - Excellent
Great to drive, so far no mechanical issues. Servicing with VW at Mile End (SA) I thought would be a pain, as I wanted to do it closer to home, but in the end it was delivered on time & washed. I was happy :-). Reversing light (there's only 1, even though 2 "lights") is a bit of a pain, I thought one of the lights wasn't working! Sometimes the engine takes a while to kick in if you floor it. Fuel economy is great. GPS is excellent. terrific visibility. Love the sun roof. The lips on the front bucket seats are a bit annoying getting in and out. On the whole would buy another one

New 2018 Tiguan 110 TSI Comfortline
Just picked up our new Tiguan and still coming to terms with all the amazing technology built into it. The safety pack with active info display is incredible - I love having the GPS navigation screen right in the middle of the driving display rather than on the separate console. Lane assist, parking assist (with cameras and sensors all round), active cruise control monitoring make this a very safe car to drive. We also got the luxury pack - mainly for the electric seat (my wife is a lot shorter than me) but the electric tail gate is also exc...Read more
ellent (and the sun roof is a very nice to have as well). I was a bit concerned that the 110 TSI may not be powerful enough but it has plenty of grunt when needed. So far it has proved to be a fantastic driving experience.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Late 2016 5N2 Tiguan 132 Tsi comfortline 4motion
8.5 ltr/100, so far so good, only done 11000 kms ( due for service at 15000kms), driven more than 2500kms thru Wave Rock, Denmark, Bluff Knoll and Albany in WA without any drama in various country roads conditions on and off roads with 4 motions on and off, gone thru storm and wet road Conditions without any drama. It is a perfect car!!
Tiguan is a great SUV suitable for a family or a couple. The engine is so powerful for urban road and also be good for a long trip. The high-tech in the car is so easy to use and pair with our mobile to play music or use navigation when I am driving or relaxing.

Good choice in price range
The new model of the Tiguan is much better than the old one. Great drive and nice additional features like App connect.
Only downside is space in backseat when you have child car seats. Better than the old model, but still very cramped.
Back seat moves so you can increase or decrease boot space as needed, which is a very helpful feature
