Driving experience very nice, good performance, low road noise, excellent handling until diff fails at 90,000 kms - replaced for $7000 Aus, windscreen starts leaking at 100,000 km- replaced for $500 Aus, im at 110,000 km now and very nervous. I want to sell this car now but re-sell value is very low.
Volvo Australia are not at all helpful and offer no support. Would I buy Volvo again? Definitely not. Stay away from European cars.

Another collection of ridiculous things.
The windshield wipers stopped working. Took car to garage, the computer was full of garbage messages. Cleaned out computer messages and the wipers started to work. Also, the "position light" notice no longer came up on he screen, the front LED light that had not worked for about a year came on, and the upper left parking light (also not working for some time) came on.
Just an additional note - apparently the rear fog lights are not a set. Only the left is supposed to light. I wish I had known this before I tried to replaced the right side bulb several times and became frustrated. The manual only refers to the one on the left side.

Volvo XC60 Nightmare

Engine oil leak - new gasket was fitted and the car was off the road for over a week
False seat belt alarms (an intermittent fault, that has not been resolved)
City safety stopping the car on two occasions when approaching intersections. With no cars / or obstacles in the way, terrifying my wife and two boys. (They claim the sof...Read more

Update on the issues. I upgraded the Volvo XC60 to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Great car, no issues and full of standard features that are expensive extras on the Volvo. The Jeep feels like a real car my wife and kids love it.
Thanks gazza01 - my car is currently waiting for it's second tow after numerous issues that were very similar to yours! I feel a little better after reading your comments that it is not just me who is/has experienced issues.
gazza, how's the jeep gc going ? Any luck with it or has it been a lemon too ?
