Excellent fridge - 10 years old and still running perfectly
I have owned this fridge for 10 years and it is still going strong. It is easy to clean and has not required servicing once since I bought it in 2006.
Will be sad to part with it but I need a larger freezer and am upgrading to a twin door model.

Only lasts 7 years ??????
I bought this fridge, hoping the name would equal quality and provide many many years of hazzle free cooling / freezing. Exactly 7 years to the day of purchase the main pc board had to be replaced, which cost me around $300. But, thinking that would give me another few years, was happy to pay for the repairs. Now exactly one year later, the fridge compartment is icing up, destroying all my fruit and veges. The milk has ice bergs floating in it etc. I phoned the repair guy again, not happy this time......he thought it may be the 'damper' which c...Read more
ontrols air flow into the fridge section. Told me to leave it unplugged for the night to defrost any ice which may have been preventing the damper from opening and closing. Sadly, this did not help with the problem. Looks like I have to either pay his $100 call out fee, and the cost of repair parts, or buy another fridge. Very hesitant to purchase another Westinghouse. What happened to fridges lasting beyond the 10 year mark ? Please do tell me why I should buy another one ? Why not just buy a cheepy for around $500 ? I could buy three of them, over a period of time, and still come out ahead of Westinghouse. Not a happy camper !!!! Quiet running motor Expensive, break down's expensive to fix and numerous

Good
A very good sized fridge. Clever compartments (Deli Tray) allow you to store more. It has a removable wine rack which is very handy. There is also a timer which you can use when you put drinks in the freezer so that you don't forget them. The controls for adjusting the temperature of the fridge and freezer are conveniently located on the front. The fridge also begins to beep if the door is opened for too long. The shelves are very easy to clean and remove. Vegies/ fruit keep well in the storage unit.
Looks stylish and smart.
Does tend to scratch / ding easily

My rj423v r*2 LCD front display not lighting up(as if no power to it but my digital volt meter shows voltage of nearly 5volts on 2 legs of input the 3rd leg is zero volts and probably or is the earth.the freezer blows a bit of cold air in at top but does not freezer at all . The fridge compartment is not going at all but light is working
From looking at internet I think the PCB is possibly or is gone (cost $209 from Electrolux in Sydney )
However I am reluctant to buy PCB as not certain if this is the problem
Would like to get the Westinghouse rj423v r*2 circuit (and or schematic )
